How does Andy keep winning despite game losing mistakes?
It's to spite Solski.
Man, imagine being so salty that you have to give someone "plot armor" for skipping a huge item and doing something that the other player does while you're still angry.
His name isn't Saltski for no reason. He's always angy at players who know the game better than him. That's why he's having a blast, and someone genuinely enjoying themselves is one of the best signs you're going to enjoy watching it. Wouldn't be nearly as fun with a less unique commentator.
Grimace, a facial expression, often ugly or contorted, that indicates disapproval, pain, etc.... Couldn't be a more fitting description for this race as either player could've won if things were slightly different.
This commentator makes it very hard to enjoy the race....
Solski is top tier. You're just grumpy.

Honestly he made it less enjoyable than other casters in the past .

Bottomline, this could have really used a better caster, one who did not get lost or emotional from the way the runners played.
The fact he could not follow or report several things, or and I am quoting here "be bothered to care" really says a lot about Solski.
@ockraven2107 for one, this is a very casual race. Solski is the one who organized it. And also, he's good buddies with Andy. Even if you didn't know that, it's glaringly obvious by the way he talks. And lastly, most people thrilled to hear that he's commentating. Much more preferable to a dry, overly informative math teacher style commentary. You can tell he's having so much fun watching them race and genuinely cares whether or not the racers are having fun, as he mentioned during this race.
@@Seegtease no it wasnt obvious, I would believe that if you said Nate, but he talked shit about Andy FAR MORE than Nate.
I will agree to disagree with you as we clearly have very different views of this.
