What you call "job market" has history of ~350 years starting from industrial revolution in late 18th Century. When steam powered machine finally broke the production limit of human and animal labour a new kind of human skills were required to operate these machines, manage the workers who learned those skills, accounting business transactions and so on. However computer and information technology in 20th century gradually reduced the role of humans for these job. AI and IoT will also take away the role customer support, programmer and so on. The job market you know are going to die. My goal is not fear mongering. But to open your eyes to learn how world and nature work to create value that enhance lifespan, health and happiness which is at all time low. Be an entrepreneur. Identifying problem and finding solution are going to be most important competency in this era. Be more multi disciplinary because solutions are not going to be come from one domain of knowledge.
We need to give respect to skill based jobs like electrician, plumbing, carpentry, painting(such individuals can become self employed and don't have to be dependent on jobs) People look down on these very important jobs and everyone wants their kids to be doctors or engineers... no. We need people of all fields and we have to respect them. In Germany, less than 50% people go for university degrees. Mostly people opt for apprenticeship or work experience to improve their skills.

It is concerning that even though India has 24 IITs, 31 NITs, and more than 3469 private engineering colleges, it still does not have core technology in its hands. India is still heavily dependent on Western countries. I have not heard of any Indian engineers developing technology.😫 The Indian engineers are super clerks ....sorry but true for IITians also .🤨
One of the most thought-provoking interactions that I've seen as a 65yo. This conversation BETWEEN TWO ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDS is going to linger with me for years, and I may view this clip a few more times, for my own growth as an Indian Citizen. FIFTY YEARS AGO, I joined SRCC and then Delhi School of Economics, and went on to enter the Civil Service FORTY TWO YEARS AGO. Decided to quit after twenty years, after earning a pension, and then did a PhD from an American University on the West Coast. Meanwhile, educated and settled my family in New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. Have done all this within my honestly earned salary, starting @INR SEVEN HUNDRED every month and annual increment of FORTY RUPEES. I WRITE COMMENT TO INSPIRE FELLOW INDIANS. Jai Hind. If I had completed my study, I would have been an Engineer Today, But now I am an Auto Rikshaw Driver and I dropped so many students at my Engineering College 😢😢
It doesn't matter I've seen Software engineers who have no degree are 12th pass or fail they get selected in company because of the skills they learn from self-taught
bro you made the greatest decision of your life. if you had completed the degree you would have been an unemplyed engineer. but today you are an employed auto rickshaw driver which in my opinion is far better position.
We are studying CBSE, WBCHSE, board, After completing the HS where will we apply for the education which we taught? There's no requirement for that subject which we taught. Indian education must change the education system as per the need for students in real life.
I met a Man who employs a few blue collar workers and provides only water tank cleaning services. This is enough for him to get a good livelihood. Indian youth needs to focus on creating a lot of new MSMEs, they need not be the most innovative startups, they should create value for their clients and customers. This is enough to do good in life.
My son have a masters's degree in Microbiology from University of Florida and can't get a job. He is an Americans every Citizens. Everywhere is the same, not just India.
Too much over population, no wonder Italy and south korea have stopped having families, what are you going to do being on the streets with your family to feed.
Basic reason is quality of education and standard of education have gone down tremendously. Majority of private institutions and professional colleges are churning out graduates, in exchange of exorbitant fees , who are not fit to be graduates even if you compare them even with those who graduated in India 30-40 years back. Basic skills like reading , writing and Arithmetic are not being grasped by average student in school.
My greatest learning from this video is learning these skills on my own. I don't have to wait for the education system to get improved. I should take my responsibility. One more thing that I learned from you guys is talk simpler . I liked the way you guys communicated with each other. Finally,I am thankful to you for this 'resource'.
A bigger problem than unemployment is actually under employment. And that is one of the reasons why qualified people leave India. An architect, a doctor, a teacher works much harder than what they do in developed countries, but they are paid peanuts comparison to their efforts. Things are still better in terms of financial compensation in IT sector, software and management industry but there lies the layoffs issue, corporate toxicity and insecure career. Overall kahin bhi kuch positive nahi hai...
focus should be on the transformative growth of the student from 10th onwards. Parents and students must be educated about the actual situation of our education and employment probability. Instead of getting a job, the focus should be on alternative career options. We must understand education is not just for job but to make students capable in all respects to create an abundance in life. Ishan lets meet some day. I am working towards clarity and direction towards education after 10th.

Agree what we need is investment in innovation and making it easy for people to do business . Today big corporates threat you either they buy you or destroy you . Then give money in hand of people and encourage them to buy this can be done by reducing taxes ( which is completely opposite to the present policy ), govt should work on law and order so it doesn’t happen it someone from outside want to invest they have to mind bout safety of their employees, small and medium should be encourage and given offers or incentives. I tell my experience, I worked on big projects in Europe like equivalent to 80cr Indian rupee or 100cr and so on. Thought lete come to India set factory and create job and also do R&D to create innovation and you can make more money on that via export. To be honest this country is far more hostile and difficult. If you get through start up India funds coz you don’t have some network to give them bribe which is 40% of the fund money u are denied. If you still get it all then other companies take you as threat and bombard you with legal notice.while if you business in another country the system is easy and they help in so many ways and if they know you got patent or innovation based product investors are happy to invest.
No, I do not agree with the person in the red shirt. Academia is not solely about teaching technical skills. While industries focus on making money, academia operates on a low-profit and low-loss basis. Academia works from a philosophical standpoint, making original discoveries and setting the rules of science. Only then can science be utilized to develop new technology. I strongly believe that academia must be research-oriented, academic research is more advanced than industry research. What industries think today (or developing the technologies now), academic research though about 50-100 years ago and keep the foundation and set rules therefore industry is now able to making product. For example, the idea of the quantum computer was proposed by Prof. Richard Feynman approximately 50-60 years ago. Quantum computers are based on the laws of quantum mechanics, which originated in 1905. After 100 years, a professor experimentally verified quantum entanglement, a basic component of quantum internet and computing. Now, industries are working on quantum computing research and trying to develop quantum processors. So, don't say academic research is useless. Every research effort contributes to technological development. Without understanding the underlying science, one cannot develop any technology.

The thing is you should know to exploit the facilities government has been providing. We have government schools, government hospitals, government transport system, government security both at centre and state level, corporations run by government, government railway. It is not that IITians do not have to think hard about what they want to do in life once they get into IIT. Once they (1000 out of 12 lakh IIT aspirants) get into IIT, they do not necessarily assume that a job offer is ready for them to grab 4 years down the line. IIT is just a world famous educational brand that takes you only up to a point. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is about giving your best, being dedicated, disciplined and grateful for whatever opportunity we get in our journey through the ladder irrespective of whether we are IITians or not. Think about Satya Nadella (B Tech from Manipal Institute of Technology) leading Microsoft.

(1) primary schooling is just as important as higher education. It is here that people acquire life time habits of decision makers ng, interpersonal skills, a solid broad overview of the world. Based upon these basic foundations, the students are mentally ;& emotionally better placed to make informed decisions regarding graduation & post graduation decisions for pursuing suitable careers later on. (2) India's investment in R&D is VERY poor. Therefore, we have become a "copy & paste" nation. This mind set has to change.
The size of the population is huge than the various institutions provide jobs . Hence our first duty is to find ways and possibilities how to minimize population growth which gradually pushing Bharat at an explosion level.
Not all students are that much intelligent to get chance in IIT, JEE, Medicals(NEET). Think about general students who have completed Their graduation, Masters in General studies. What about the job opportunities for them? Will they all open tea stall? Indian corporate sector is totally full of heartless and selfish people. There need a vast change from top to bottom. They need to think about general people. Not only think about the profit of the company. India need to thik about the dangerous situation. Only privatisation is not the proper solution for job opportunities. Broad hearted and intelligent people need to capture the crporet sector and Government sector. Education is meant for learning and acquiring knowledge, not for getting jobs. You get a job if you possess the skills required for the job. Education enables you to acquire the skills. But you yourself have to work on developing and mastering the right skills. Students and parents are confused. They expect to get jobs by mere possession of a degree. Having a degree is necessary, but not sufficient to get a job.
Then why do companies ask for a degree for a job instead of skill? Also, why not teach the skills in college itself? Should students skip college? Will companies give them jobs without a degree? Also, when students are busy with competitive exams and school/college studies then when will they get time for acquiring skills?

The same people who work outside India become top leaders in world leading innovation companies. You must have heard even Elon Musk naming one Indian person Ashok Elluswamy for driving the Tesla Autopilot project successfully ,Musk even went on saying - Without Ashok, Tesla would just be another car company. Same story is not heard here. The problem is not with India's talent pool, but rather with Indian investors who wants quick return for their money. They are not ready to wait for 3-5 years for building something major, rather they'd want quick profits. This discourages the organizations or startups to start some R&D , and focus is given on service oriented business.

Every year, millions of engineers graduate, and many of them secure jobs with salaries ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 rupees per month. However, with the rising cost of living, it's almost impossible for them to sustain themselves on such a salary. Consequently, they start looking for better jobs, which also puts them in the category of unemployed. It’s unfair to blame students for lacking skills when the real issue is the inadequacy of wages to meet basic living standards.
@@skfiroj8volleybal no one has capabilities to fulfill infinite, thats why we have concepts of country and nation to lookafter few millions of people. but Bharat has more than billions of people. most importantly all aren't our citizens and responsibilities. immigration causes huge loads on resources and jobs. so unless we have clear criteria for citizenship everything gets diverted /insufficient.
Bollywood was showing, highlighting this problem since last 50 years.... Movies like Roti, Kapada aur Makaan, Deewar, Sholay and Inquilaab etc has touched the subject...for example Manoj Kumar tore his hard earned Degree in Roti, kapda aur Makaan... It is concerning that even though India has 24 IITs, 31 NITs, and more than 3469 private engineering colleges, it still does not have core technology in its hands.
India is still heavily dependent on Western countries.
I have not heard of any Indian engineers developing technology.😫
The Indian engineers are super clerks ....sorry but true for IITians also .🤨

Basic reason is quality of education and standard of education have gone down tremendously. Majority of private institutions and professional colleges are churning out graduates, in exchange of exorbitant fees , who are not fit to be graduates even if you compare them even with those who graduated in India 30-40 years back. Basic skills like reading , writing and Arithmetic are not being grasped by average student in school.

No job is perfect. There is equal toxicity in government jobs too.
Lack of good quality jobs apart from unemployment is also a concern which should be addressed
focus should be on the transformative growth of the student from 10th onwards.

On top of that many of the jobs have been replaced by automation, AI etc. Also many jobs are given on to private contractors to reduce cost. But the politicians will not preach this in any democratic country because this will reduce the number of future voters.
Government has reduced budget of Education and cancelled 180,000 Scholarship of Universities for Poor Minority students so they can be forced to be out of qualifying UPSC exams , and millions of Pre Matric scholarships so Poor Minority students do not educate themselves and become equal to SC / ST castes and thus creation of 5th Class of INDIA as New Dalit be Muslims , then YOU can be happy to see they have more than average level of Families across INDIA so the Monster from Gujrat can roar with his mentality.

Have tie ups with foreign countries for 5 years citizenship exchange program for all age groups. Reduce work hours to 6 per day per employee and making working hours 24 per day wherever possible to handle growing joblessness. Give hourly based job opportunities in each sector including govt jobs.

Tell me when it was better 😂

Not only think about the profit of the company. India need to thik about the dangerous situation. Only privatisation is not the proper solution for job opportunities. Broad hearted and intelligent people need to capture the crporet sector and Government sector.
Oiling policies and very bad politics inside the corporet and Government sector must be diminished forever .
In the first place why are they going for such courses. Why should private sector must show concern because the management is answerable to investors.
Its sad reality but vast majority of indian youths who have degrees like ba, bsc, bcom are either unemployed or doing a minimum wage job.

Most jobs on Naukri, Monster are fake. They will ask for money after you apply.
And in every job 1000+ people apply, no one will give you a private job unless you have some extraordinary skills and work experience and no one will give you work experience as you are a BTech Fresher so better prepare for govt jobs.
Unemployement is the major outcome of overpopulation . I still remember those ads in early 90s on DD channel where they used to say hum do humar do but we still didnt follow that.Citizens are equally responsible for this mess.At the end of the day government didnt ask our forfathers to have so many kids .
Exactly 💯. No one is blaming this
Not only we need more movies on enterprenuers, ws also need more movies, where they show, being jobless doesnt mean you are failure. Attitude shift has to happen starting with mindset
I know amity, Pear and tons of other universities have a 99% unemployment. Even govt Univ holding MSC don’t have jobs at 8/10.
Carry on, making this type of video. Thank you.

Engineering is a skill base degree but why engineering students are unemployed.
What is unemployment?
Unemployment refers to the situation when a person has skills but is unable to meet their basic needs with the income they earn because of inflation. As a result, they search for a better job while still being employed in a current one. This is also considered a form of unemployment.
I happily learned by this podcost is that any degree that knowledge should solve the bigger real world problem. Thank you for podcost

Govt should ban any kind of Coaching Academies for State & Central Govt Exams or Civil Services or UPSC or Govt Jobs.
