- Why is it that what should be a simple and easy task can be complicated and ends up being anything but easy. Just having some fun ranting about a whole lot of nothing.

1.58 US gallons is 6 litres in metric. A nice round number. LOL. The USA is sometimes rather backwards in non use of metric measurements. The rest of the world gets along just fine with metric.
5.98L So....Its does not matter what system you use, as long as you can convert it. I use both systems daily, Overall metric is not nearly as useful
@@redink71 At best the USA has soft metric. IE. The metric equivalents of USA standard measurements. Doing math in metric is significantly easier with a base 10 system vs a system that uses fractions in their measurements.
Sometimes it's bizarre both measurements systems. A "Hemi truck" has a 5,7 Liter engine. On the other hand, rim diameterin Europe is expressed in inches, while the width of the tyre itsself is in cm.
Also inch, foot, yard, mile, acre, pound, gallons are quite easy to convert to centimeter, meter, kilometer, hectare, kilogram, liter.
One measurement is not : Fahrenheit because there is nothing linear in it. Celsius is way more logical.
Water has 3 forms : or it's frozen (=0 degrees Celsius & below), liquid (=0 - 100 degrees C) or steam (>100 degrees C), it's linear.

@@Back40Firewood because this is the US of A, and we sell stuff by the gallon. Everyone buys quarts or gallons. The only one who would make that would be perhaps the factory itself, and theyd charge you double for it.
Your 1.58 gallons is roughly 6 liters, and since your tractor is made overseas, metric wins.
In the '70s I had a Case 320 crawler loader, a Dodge dump truck, and a Ford Mustang that all used the same good 'ole FL-1A oil filter! Life was so much simpler then.

Oh come on, you grew up on a farm. You know it's 1 QT, 1 gal, 2 1/2 gal, 5 gal, or 55gal. And it's the US not Europe. Could drive front end up on a block of wood or lift it up w the loader

Oh that small nest you just smash with one hand 😂. I dumped an elm is a very shady place early one spring and it grew sprouts that entire summer . I guess if you don’t have a lot of equipment I get your point . But I buy most oils in 5 gallon buckets . And just use as needed .

For those who might have those concerns, you can use a horse stall mat. Put it in your trailer, pick up truck, whatever.
***Serious note: re-check your front differential level after running it, or after it sits for an hour or two.
I filled mine, used the little dipstick, it was full. Checked the next day, had to add almost a quart to bring it back up! Then it was good.
I think air gets trapped in the hub areas??
You should make a summer trip over my way. Bring the family.
