Jack Colwell - “In My Dreams” - Port Kembla

Just a week ago Jack posted on social media that he had new music coming. He was in the studio recording his second album. Earlier in the year, he had returned to the stage previewing the new material.
“It’s been really tricky at times to think about my music career but at this stage I’m feeling positive and not worrying about where it will lead - just focusing on the doing! “
So it was a huge shock to wake up this morning and read of his death. At only 34, Jack has left us way too soon. I know he’ll be greatly missed by many in the Sydney music scene.
I want to pay my respects by uploading a song from the second performance of Jack’s I had the pleasure of attending. It was in the middle of the pandemic and the NSW government was supporting artists and venues with grants in an attempt to revitalise the almost dead live music industry. Jack played a beautiful outdoor set at The Servo in Port Kembla. You can see more from it on my TH-cam channel. “In My Dreams” was the single from his first album, "Swandream", released in 2020.
