Why reinvent the wheel: One consumer macbook and two pro macbooks (big and small), One consumer imac and a pro one (27 or 32"), one windows competitor for video and such mac studio + monitors for pros (both for the macbooks and the mac studio), a mini, normal and pro ipad, and a big and tiny iphone ... done.

I think people have become too sensitive. I understood exactly what Apple meant to do with that ad. Going back to the 1990s and early 2000s, the ads that companies would make were much more unsettling and cryptic but we were all fine with it because it was funny and even interesting. I don't think Apple is the problem here with that ad.

Without Cook we might also have Newtons or Pippins, LOL. It's going to a big change when Cook retires, he was amazing for Apple, innovation suffered, but his logistics and assembly line cost savings was huge. I think you 100% need both, and innovator and a logistics guy to tell the innovator no sometimes. Having Cook under Jobs was critical, Jobs without Cook would have been rough. Tim Cook had the balls to tell Jobs no, Jobs respected that, but he still got his way a lot, Jobs would try to stop production when a button rattled..LOL Tim was really good at making him understand the long game, probably the whole S series release schedule was a compromise, otherwise Jobs wanted to innovate on every single release and throw out all the tooling and production line savings so they compromised with every other release schedule being innovative and not iterative.
Cook seems to keep the same form factor release after release but it was huge part of Apples success. Yes Apple lost some innovation during those years for sure, but it was successful. The iPhone would be a completely buttonless port-less thin glass sheet without many seems if Jobs was still around, but it might cost a fortune to manufacture and might be hated by some. Jobs hated buttons and ports, loved sleek lines and also hated choice or complicated settings, so thank Cook for all the settings and choices, too much so now actually. Also Siri would have been what OpenAI is or better, Jobs wanted a computer to disappear with just a personal secretary to take instruction. Jobs had that vision in the 70's even made a few prototype videos about it, and his speech in Sweden in 1985 was a vision of OpenAI and LLM's.
Jobs rarely worried about the bottom line, felt quality product would take of that, so I also think the iPad would be more useful, I think he would have had MacOS on the iPad when a keyboard was attached, that just makes sense and it's innovative. I miss Jobs, and I'll miss Cook, both can not be replaced, I see no one even close as a replacement.

I went from an Ipone 11 pro to an 15pro. so no 16, 17 or 18 for me.. Im happy where I am.
7:27 people whining about the ad are the issue in society today
It’s just not a good ad. It emphasizes compression as destruction, so it makes it feel like the iPad is destroying creative and expressive things.
I don’t think it’s necessarily evil or the worst or anything, just not a good ad. It makes Apple look like it’s destroying comfortable and important things. (Destruction of bad things is good, destruction of good things is off putting)

I thought the ad was great. it was smart and interesting. I have no idea why anyone would have an issue with it. But I guess people do complain about everything they can.

The ad was Apple showing you a room full of things and compressing it into a smaller form factor that you could easily carry around with you where ever you go. If i saw an ad that compressed all the tools I own into one tool providing me with an option to always have my tools with me AND a lot more room in my truck…. I’d be absolutely thrilled.

I don't think folding phones are the way to go. There are some people who do like the fold and flip devices but they aren't big sellers and the screens crack in the middle after a while. The candybar shape is far more practical and if you really need a bigger screen, get an ipad.

All Tim Cook did was help Apple survive. Take all accessories out of the box and the customer must buy them separately. Then he raised the prices of simple accessories and it worked because people buy them.

I thought the compactor d was great! It was cute and really got the point across. People are just so sensitive, and over react to the smallest thing. It was a great ad and should be close to one of their best.

The thing is that whoever takes over after Tim Cook, will have the same issues that Tim didc the uncertainties just because its the nature of life & business. For a while the market will drop because people won’t know where Apple will be headed under new leadership but until the new CEO can show that things will be fine or even better… everyone will have something to say about it. Thats just life. Let’s remember how much people were destroying Tim Cook until things really settled down and look where he took Apple.

The problem is not who is going to be the next CEO, the problem is that, who ever comes in, still has a big shoe to fill, now people are starting to realize, how great Steve was, he made an ok choice, but not the guy that Apple need it.

THEY BETTER MAKE IT SO SCREEN “BURN IN” IS NOT POSSIBLE! I had to replace my iPhone 13 Pro Max due to that. These tech devices should be able to avoid that. If it cannot then don’t make the brightness capability so high. I do try to avoid putting it high levels but I shouldn’t have to “be careful” of that ALL THE TIME when I’ve paid so much for a phone.

The ad was painful to watch. I didn't expect this from Apple. It's like they were so butthurt they can't create anything new since Steve they raged at things people create with.
Ad was terrible. If it had all those items one by one somehow shrink as they flow into something on the floor or a table and then when everything has disappeared, we see they have merged into an iPad, that would make the point without destroying beloved items.
I think John would be a good choice - young but not wet behind the ears. Tim did a good job overall. Yes there were some things he could have done better but overall he's done well. He does look tired tbh, and you cannot fight aging, no matter how much gym you do. It makes sense that he step down for someone more energetic.
It's obvious the next CEO would be Tam Eat, it's natural progression from Tim Cook

An advertisement destroying numerous historical and important pieces/tools of human history and creativity isn’t something anyone should take lightly from a richest corporation on earth Alex. Apple needs new innovations and fresh ideas from a different perspective. I would like to see vibrant colors and the ability to not have 2 factor ID especially for seniors who are still struggling with new technology. Tim Cook was the right choice for Apple to follow the massively popular and trusted Steve Jobs because the board needed assurance that Apple operations would not be interrupted. The girl picks up a guitar that had been destroyed, but she manages to do the impossible and tunes it, and then precedes to not play the music on the Android tablet, (which was a two octave F major scale). What a fumbling set of circumstances.
