Thank you for inserting your diy videos inside rather than making us watch a whole video for each diy. I loved how you edited the videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank , I use all white dishes too . I explained this to my family ... after so many broken dishes I started just getting white. I have been doing this for years :) Love what you did with that shelf , so cute!
At least you take the time to explain things unlike others that just walk around the store with a phone camera pointing at things and price tags. Boring. Your the best Liz.
Yes, something with the butterfly shower curtain! Maybe consider inserting some accents using that pink color, just a smidgen in a few places on each piece to personalize it a bit. Or sew a piece as a border on towels, or line wicker storage baskets with the material. So much fun! ~ I appreciated how you edited this content to show your usage as you went along. I know that took quite a bit of effort. Well done!
I've been binge watching IKEA videos lately, because I need to organize my pantry and my laundry room,and I need info about what products IKEA offer lately, the closest one is 2 hours away,so unfortunately...(or maybe fortunately ,considering how many things I like from them) I learn a lot about what is in store..Your tone of voice,the way you present the products and then the little inserts, and ideas you gave us,make me fell in love with your style, and I hope you continue every season to present products from IKEA, we can't thank you enough. FAN FOR LIFE!!!!
I use white Corelle. I've picked up extra pieces at Goodwill over the past few years. They're so durable and thin which is a great space-saver for my small kitchen
🖤Corelle. Not the cups so much, but everything else. •Growing up my BFF's family had a white set w/the tiny olive green flowers. •A few decades later, had a friend w/a white set that had the 80s blue & pink floral pattern. 😣 Frankly, found both of those patterns to cheapen the look of the dishware. Although the latter experience made me appreciate their beautiful lightness & durability again. Bought two solid white sets after that. The round set for my pal, and the square one for my dad. Both became loyal converts. When we needed a larger plate for something like pizza🍕, we would improvise by using one of their platters. 👀Keep my eye out for more when thrifting too. Although our fancy Fresh Fare Ralphs carries these dishes -- & has pretty good discounts every so often. 😁 Used to prefer chunky ceramic, but no longer as enamoured with heavy dishware (that gets even heavier once you put food on it). Plus, I like the fact Corelle is pretty resistant to chipping for someone who can be clumsy when hand-washing😔. ~~~~~~~~~~ Also use a black Anchor Hocking dishware set. It has a very similar feel & weight to the Corelle. It is in their 80s octagon shape. The mod flair really appealed to my parent's mcm aesthetic. They went mad for it. Bought all the pieces & enough to feed our extended family at the time. On my own now, but that big set allows me to be lazy. I can slowly fill the D/W over the course of several days in order to run a full load. 🤗
Loved the shopping experience with you. I felt like I was right there! I am so tired of being cooped up, and this made me feel like I went shopping with a girlfriend. Thank you so much. I needed that.
Love your Ikea video, yes keep them coming. Loved your idea for the four cubicle shelf. I need to do something like that. I'm just starting to organize my crafts. Didnt realize I had so much because I had it in different closets and rooms.
The bamboo hanging light would be great turned into a Tobacco Basket! Skip buying the light kit. Then search and rewatch all Liz’s videos to find a tutorial lol I grabbed a couple of the straw Easter baskets from Dollar Tree to practice making one. Deconstruct the lampshade and soak . Being bamboo it’s the best wood for this project, imo! Fantastic video 🪴🪴💐🏆🏆🧺🧺😍❤️😊😊😊😊 Thank You Liz! Ps... I too have white dishes. You can easily dress them down with table decor, glass ware, plate chargers, etc.
I’ve had white dishes for about 20 years......best decision ever😍😍.I like to get my rugs at IKEA because when I get tired of them I don’t feel bad replacing it 👍
My China from 1978 is white on white. My everyday has been not as hardy so has been replaced probably once every decade. Last collection was a Fiestaware knock off that I got in four colors. LOVED the mix-and-match but over time half of them chipped. Two years ago I got the Joshua collection in gray while I was still an employee at Pottery Barn. I love the hand-thrown look. Can’t wait to have open shelves to display them.
Girl my favorite for the rolling carts is I have one in my pantry I keep my kitchen aid mixer on it and other kitchen appliances!! It helps keep my countertops decluttered!!!! Yay! I always love your videos.
I went with the Strimmig line pink and dark blue, and the dark turquoise Fargrik set, so very colorful and super fun playing with color at the dining table. I use polk glasses as well in pink, green and clear. Thanks
Yes, please do more IKEA videos! I go in there so excited, get very overwhelmed, then just leave (if I can find the exit!). Other people seem to navigate it easily, but not me. Can you do a video on your mindset (i.e. just browsing, have specific items in mind prior, or have a need and looking for products). They have so many great options, but I need a system that filters through everything. Seeing how you use items in your home really helps me!
Fiesta ware,mix & match. My Lenox China is white with platinum rim.I have different table runners,so I change them according to the season. It's fun!! Love your channel.
I'm going to IKEA for the first time next week. I'm so excited and now I have a good idea of what I want to look for. I'm definitely going to snatch up those spice jars, some pillow covers, that cutting board and those plants along with a dining room table set! Thank you for sharing!
I have a few sets. Black, black and white, and clear that are square. I love to interchanging them and alternating them in my kitchen and formal dining room.
😉 You're a girl after my own heart 🖤. Major maximalista who is trying to minimise my collection. 😍 Always loved dishware. For everyday, switch between ⚪white (square), 🍥pink (round) & a ⚫black (octagon from 80s) set. Since the shapes are so different they don't really play well together. Will mix & match those same colored serving bowls/trays/vessels as it suits my fancy. Use linens or other patterned dishes that bring in those same colors. Inherited two sets of silverware & fine China. My favorite is a bold cranberry & white floral pattern.
Whomever came up with the idea of designing a HUGE store with all the ‘rooms’ was a total genius! Going to an IKEA is so much fun, and it’s something everyone should experience.
I just made the switch to all white plates this spring and absolutely love how I can accessorize easily for different seasons/holidays! I love the idea of you doing some diy with the shower curtain for your daughter's bathroom. I've been watching your past Christmas videos and getting ideas for the season. I especially enjoyed the bow making one! Thank you!
Yes 💘 the IKEA videos!! I like to use 2 colors for dinner ware..I just redid my counters, backsplash and island so I think I'll get the white dinnerware which goes with any other I choose..need silverware also..hmm does IKEA have black? Did you stop for lunch, there Swedish meatballs are 😋...oh and that shower curtain is the cutest!! Definitely use it and show us ..Can’t wait.
I just love this video. It’s just like going along to shop with a helpful friend because IKEA has so much stuff, like you said, it’s pretty hard to see how to use certain things and become overwhelmed. It’s always pretty fun though. I really like white dinnerware as well.
I really like the IKEA trips you make to show us what they have. My IKEA is quite far, but because of your IKEA trips/ideas I have ordered online a few times and will continue to do so. Love my little black alarm clock like yours! Keep the IKEA trips coming Liz!!!
I feel like a hamster in a cage in there! But I do love ❤️ checking out what's new. Thanks for sharing! Us crafters all have those carts! I've gone back to neutral colors in my home (brown leather couch and chairs) and add pops of colors with each holiday or season 😊 I like to be unique, so not a fan of buffalo check everywhere (except a few Christmas ornaments with red) and I love my Rae Dunn. But my craft room is very happy and colorful. Main pieces are dark brown antique with shades of aqua and greens. Enabler! Now I need to go get some of those trailing plants!
The nearest IKEA is at least 30 minutes away. I don't go that often. I love IKEA pillow covers. I also use white dinnerware. It's easy to match up with any napkins or Chargers. I enjoy the shop with me IKEA videos. It's good to know what's new. Thanks for sharing.
I use black service ware on the daily but have white for special occasions. The little glass jars with the screw on top is one of my favorites, I used them for spare change, a different little jar for each denomination and for rubber bands and little things to keep them organized. I also love the live plants ... I just can't do the faux. I have found small to medium fiddle leaf figs at a much reduced price compared to my nursery.
Definitely white plates, cups etc. I have a pure white set with a embossed pattern on one side. It's perhaps over 25 years old, starting to wear and have lost a few from breakages, its brand is Rosenthal from Germany. I like the cohesive look too.
When ikea first opened here in Minneapolis I went and couldn’t find my way out so I’ve always been phobic about it. I watch these videos and yours is the only one that is incentive to get my butt back there. I know it sounds bizarre that I got trapped, but I did. Grand opening weird situation I guess. I have to get some of the things you pointed out. Your decor is far superior to most I’ve seen on TH-cam, you are super talented. Thanks for sharing Liz! Oh I just subscribed too👍😍
I had a legit panic attack the first and only time I went to this store. It has great stuff, but it was so hot, crowded and overwhelming it really messed me up 😕 So glad she let us know and did the hard work for us❤
i also use white dishes. it is so easy to decorate your table with white. you can use any color table cloth, napkins, centerpiece when you aren't having to worry about dishes having a color or design. i also wish we had an Ikea in alaska!
Omg I love your chatter when you find something new that you like! ( I totally get your “problem” with Ikea plants😉). It really feels like shopping together with a friend.
You asked us to leave a comment about what we do for dishes... me personally.. I make my own dishes. I’m a ceramics artist, I buy clay by the ton, and throw dishes on the potters wheel, glaze and single fire. I honestly like the hand made look, vs a mold look that stores sale. Plus my stuff is fired at a higher temp, so more durability. I have some really amazing glazes I make as well. I love seeing what other people get, and what they do with their loot, you’ve got some pretty clever ideas. 😄 But I love ikea! I have one here in Portland. I love their shelves and organizers! Idm if you decided to make more videos like that. Oh! And I like the shower curtain in your daughters bathroom, vs the bug and butterflies at ikea. (By the way, her bathroom is super cute! Great job)
I like these tips. I have this $8 folding chair that comes in black and white and I put fur over top of it. The only thing is those four pack of jars have plastic Lids I think, if so I don't think I would be giving those as a gift. I love Ikea!
All my plates, bowls, drinking vessels, coffee cups, and even pitchers, vases and planters I purchase from a local ceramic artist that has a sale on his farm twice a year. I love that I'm purchasing directly from the artist, and though every piece is glazed differently, the color palette is neutral and coordinates so the sets look cohesive, but distinctive and unique. Not the cheapest, but it has been wonderful to build my collection over the course of years and I'm really happy with it. I think if I had a big party I'd get that set of white dishes because I wouldn't care if something was broken or I could use them to wrap up leftovers to go and wouldn't bother asking for the pieces back. Always good to have options.
I love this idea. Although not inexpensive, it’s a great way to use functional art and enjoy the unique craftsmanship. I’ve collected pieces of pottery over the years, but they came from different areas and artists so it’s very eclectic. I’ve shared with my husband that I’d like to get one set of matching dinnerware from a local artist. (We have a few from which to choose.) I also like the idea of all white when we need a larger number for guests. Matches any decor and keeps things simple. (Even as I’m decluttering my kitchen, I think those two choices would work to cover all my long-time goals.) How many place settings do you like to have of pottery? For us, it’s just my husband, myself, and our daughter, so thinking 4 settings, 6 at the most. Then have 8-10 in a manufactured white.
Wow today I got 2 of your videos! So many great ideas form both ( the other one was crafts you made from the dollar store). Really enjoyed both! So glad to see you go through Ikea and give suggestions on what you do or could do with their merchandise! Your talent and great imagination never ends! 💗👏
Yes, thank you for taking the time. I really love the 4 cubed shelves & your idea to cover. Also the wooden boxes. I have a lot of natural & earth tone things those would look awesome with.
@@lizfenwickdiy Hey Liz the cloth cube bins that go inside the cubed shelves, do you know where I can find fuchsia, purple, black w/white polka dots and/or, zebra? My daughter's room is in the theme of those patterns & colors.
I use various colors, depending on my mood. I use Fiesta plates, but right now I have white and silver china for the holidays. I'll go to color in the Spring.
yes, great find. It's just before the check out registers in the far right side of the store (as you walk from the big racks in the warehouse toward the registers - the exit).
I have the same black & white shower curtain & towel (from Walmart). I am going to be in KC next week for a Doctor appointment...so now...I’m hoping I can squeeze in an IKEA trip too while I’m up there! Thanks for showing all the great ideas....I LOVED that rug as well 😍
Yes, love your IKEA videos! I ❤️❤️❤️ the lighting options you showed us! I need to update my dining room lighting , now I know where to go! Thanks a bunch!😃
Great video chock full of ideas! And yessss ALL of our platters, servingware, everyday and formal china are all plain white and all plain clear glassware -- just makes it so much easier to adapt the place settings with napkins, flowers, runners etc for different seasons
@@ambersuarez2858most cases..yes. some returns. Many floor models. Discontinued. And seasional stuff. The last 2are usually marked down a lot on those. My best buy was a big alex. In blue. My store rarely has the blue ones. Normally $129. I only paid $50. Towels, pillows with covers. The pillows were floor models. The covers were the tropical beach one. $2 per pillow in the cover. They are in my camper.
OMG! What a feast!!! 2 of my favorite Liz channel’s videos in a row. The thrift store and IKEA 😍😍 I can’t wait for the other favorites, Christmas mantel, tree 🌲 and staircase.
We have office furniture and cubes. Our dinner ware are white Ikea and silver ware are also Ikea. I furnished apartment with beds and "as is" furniture. I LOVE IKEA!
I have 4 sets of dinner wear for the 4 seasons...I like changing them during the year makes it more fun! I also change out the cushions, wreaths, kitchen towels...to go along with each season. I don’t like to see the same thing all year round.
Love all your ideas. One note, I made bath scrub for my mom once and she dropped it before she got in the shower, thank goodness. I think plastic works better for shower products - OR, maybe place some thing on the glass jars to help grab them.
Thank you for inserting your diy videos inside rather than making us watch a whole video for each diy. I loved how you edited the videos. Keep up the great work!
Great editing!
Hi Ayesha Qasim! Thanks so much for watching my video. 😊
I'm so glad you liked it, White Hawk! Stay tuned for more fun videos. 😊
Love the IKEA vids!
I LOVE IKEA! Yes please keep doing these segments, I especially love when you show how you change it up or dress it up.

I use white dinnerware too. I love to cook and want the food to be the colorful part. Plus its easy to mix and match :)
I have all white Corelle dinner wear. I love being able to add different charges and accent pieces to my table with the change of seasons.
IKEA IS THE PLACE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN INSIDE A IKEA. NOW I WON'T GO ANY OTHER PLACE. THANK YOU GIRL. AND AT SUCH WONDERFUL PRICES.
Hi Betty Black! Thanks so much for watching my video. 😊
I love seeing the little display rooms they have at ikea. So many cool ideas.

I use Fiestaware in every color. I love the mismatched look!
I use white Corelle. I've picked up extra pieces at Goodwill over the past few years. They're so durable and thin which is a great space-saver for my small kitchen
Same.
🖤Corelle. Not the cups so much, but everything else.

~~~~~~~~~~
Also use a black Anchor Hocking dishware set. It has a very similar feel & weight to the Corelle. It is in their 80s octagon shape.
On my own now, but that big set allows me to be lazy. I can slowly fill the D/W over the course of several days in order to run a full load. 🤗
I love these videos because I am disabled. You give me the chance to see the huge store from my bed. Thank you!
I'm so glad you love it, Shelley Foster. Have fun watching! 💕
Thanks for taking me shopping to Ikea Liz love the store you can be there all day. Nice findings.
Hi Patty Desrosiers. I'm glad you loved that one. Thank you!😍
Love to see IKEA things! I did get a bit of motion sickness watching during the up close pillow covers and the scanning of large areas.
The bamboo hanging light would be great turned into a Tobacco Basket! Skip buying the light kit. Then search and rewatch all Liz’s videos to find a tutorial lol I grabbed a couple of the straw Easter baskets from Dollar Tree to practice making one. Deconstruct the lampshade and soak . Being bamboo it’s the best wood for this project, imo!
So I collect all white dishes as well and prefer square and unique shapes. Thanks for the virtual shopping trip, please do more in the future.
Hi Sabra S! Thanks so much for watching my video. 😊
I’ve had white dishes for about 20 years......best decision ever😍😍.I like to get my rugs at IKEA because when I get tired of them I don’t feel bad replacing it 👍
Liz you crack me up with how excited you got over the new plants. My dishes are white on top and black on the bottom.
I guess we have similar preference! Thank you, Liz Ramos. ❤️
I went with the Strimmig line pink and dark blue, and the dark turquoise Fargrik set, so very colorful and super fun playing with color at the dining table. I use polk glasses as well in pink, green and clear. Thanks
I love my white plates because I can add pretty pops of color with a desert plate or napkins for the holidays or special occasions. I love IKEA
I have white dinnerware with a design. Have had it for more than 20 years. The design is retro. Love it.
Hi Rachel Miranda. I'm glad you loved that one. Thank you!😍
You asked us to leave a comment about what we do for dishes... me personally.. I make my own dishes. I’m a ceramics artist, I buy clay by the ton, and throw dishes on the potters wheel, glaze and single fire. I honestly like the hand made look, vs a mold look that stores sale. Plus my stuff is fired at a higher temp, so more durability. I have some really amazing glazes I make as well.
I love seeing what other people get, and what they do with their loot, you’ve got some pretty clever ideas. 😄
But I love ikea! I have one here in Portland. I love their shelves and organizers! Idm if you decided to make more videos like that.
Oh! And I like the shower curtain in your daughters bathroom, vs the bug and butterflies at ikea. (By the way, her bathroom is super cute! Great job)
I buy handmade dishes! I appreciate the work of the artist and love the look. 😀
Now thats taking diy to a whole new level!
I like these tips. I have this $8 folding chair that comes in black and white and I put fur over top of it. The only thing is those four pack of jars have plastic Lids I think, if so I don't think I would be giving those as a gift. I love Ikea!
Thank you , this was so nice seeing all the fun things. Love your channel!
All my plates, bowls, drinking vessels, coffee cups, and even pitchers, vases and planters I purchase from a local ceramic artist that has a sale on his farm twice a year. I love that I'm purchasing directly from the artist, and though every piece is glazed differently, the color palette is neutral and coordinates so the sets look cohesive, but distinctive and unique. Not the cheapest, but it has been wonderful to build my collection over the course of years and I'm really happy with it. I think if I had a big party I'd get that set of white dishes because I wouldn't care if something was broken or I could use them to wrap up leftovers to go and wouldn't bother asking for the pieces back. Always good to have options.
I love this idea. Although not inexpensive, it’s a great way to use functional art and enjoy the unique craftsmanship. I’ve collected pieces of pottery over the years, but they came from different areas and artists so it’s very eclectic. I’ve shared with my husband that I’d like to get one set of matching dinnerware from a local artist. (We have a few from which to choose.) I also like the idea of all white when we need a larger number for guests. Matches any decor and keeps things simple. (Even as I’m decluttering my kitchen, I think those two choices would work to cover all my long-time goals.) How many place settings do you like to have of pottery? For us, it’s just my husband, myself, and our daughter, so thinking 4 settings, 6 at the most. Then have 8-10 in a manufactured white.
Clear glass and black for plates and bowls, multicolor glass drink and flatware. Matches everything and interchangeable
I'm so glad you liked it, Newark Centric City! Stay tuned for more fun videos. 😊
So glad to see you go through Ikea and give suggestions on what you do or could do with their merchandise! Your talent and great imagination never ends! 💗👏
Yes, thank you for taking the time. I really love the 4 cubed shelves & your idea to cover. Also the wooden boxes. I have a lot of natural & earth tone things those would look awesome with.
I'm so glad you love it, Kenya Scott. Have fun watching! 💕
@@lizfenwickdiy Hey Liz the cloth cube bins that go inside the cubed shelves, do you know where I can find fuchsia, purple, black w/white polka dots and/or, zebra? My daughter's room is in the theme of those patterns & colors.
I use various colors, depending on my mood. I use Fiesta plates, but right now I have white and silver china for the holidays. I'll go to color in the Spring.
I had no idea IKEA had an “ as is” spot thanks for letting me know. 😃👍
yes, great find. It's just before the check out registers in the far right side of the store (as you walk from the big racks in the warehouse toward the registers - the exit).
Love your ideas I change my dishes for the season
I have the same black & white shower curtain & towel (from Walmart). I am going to be in KC next week for a Doctor appointment...so now...I’m hoping I can squeeze in an IKEA trip too while I’m up there! Thanks for showing all the great ideas....I LOVED that rug as well 😍
Yes, love your IKEA videos! I ❤️❤️❤️ the lighting options you showed us! I need to update my dining room lighting , now I know where to go! Thanks a bunch!😃
Great video chock full of ideas! And yessss ALL of our platters, servingware, everyday and formal china are all plain white and all plain clear glassware -- just makes it so much easier to adapt the place settings with napkins, flowers, runners etc for different seasons
@@ambersuarez2858most cases..yes. some returns. Many floor models. Discontinued. And seasional stuff. The last 2are usually marked down a lot on those. My best buy was a big alex. In blue. My store rarely has the blue ones. Normally $129. I only paid $50. Towels, pillows with covers. The pillows were floor models. The covers were the tropical beach one. $2 per pillow in the cover. They are in my camper.
Same here i go to that section first...
I'm so glad you love it, Seastorm 1978. Have fun watching! 💕
I have 4 sets of dinner wear for the 4 seasons...I like changing them during the year makes it more fun! I also change out the cushions, wreaths, kitchen towels...to go along with each season. I don’t like to see the same thing all year round.
That's great! I wish you all the best on your project, Rose Pink. 😍
Love all your ideas. One note, I made bath scrub for my mom once and she dropped it before she got in the shower, thank goodness. I think plastic works better for shower products - OR, maybe place some thing on the glass jars to help grab them.
I'm so glad you love it, CC R. Have fun watching! 💕
