Always said there will never be another Ozzy, Metallica, Dire Straits, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Pink Floyd, Etc. it's not like rap where you get a new crappy rapper copying the last rapper or stealing music. Music this good will only be on our music list not on the radio
The essence of Pink Floyd is that they never rush!. They take all the time they need to make their statement, both musically and lyrically. If they need a 5 minute intro, they take it. This is one reason that they seem to be enveloping the listener in a blanket of warm stardust. An embrace should never be rushed, and neither should Pink Floyd! Never be afraid to feel or express those deep emotions. It's what makes us both human and divine!
Very well said. You just described the essence of Pink Floyd in a nutshell. They drive you to your deepest feelings so much, that it make the tears flow.... now that's music.
I'm 41, and I love this comment for a couple of reasons. For one, I feel the same way, and that's the power of great music to span generations. And also, I don't know whether you mean "tear" as in crying tears, or "tears", as in ripping apart...but either way, I'm right there with you. It tears me apart and tears run down my face.
Hi Aileen, not sure how you take requests for reaction videos but I’d like to recommend the song, “In Any Tongue” by David Gilmour, the guitarist featured here. The live Pompeii performance is best and the song is a lyrical masterpiece. One of his best IMO.
@@scottalexander619 ,I agree. Such a moving song and a simply gut wrenchingly beautiful guitar solo. The version with the pencil drawn video also hits really hard.

Several of their albums could serve as the foundation for a very attractive, highly attended, and instructive college-level class in PHILOSOPHY, SOCIOLOGY, PSYCHOLOGY, and/or other subjects.
It's a song about no longer being apathetic to humanity's suffering around you. And the ending as the chords are rising, give an elevated mood so you feel uplifted by the music. It's meant to raise you up, and bring you hope for the world to start caring about each other. About being altruistic.

I was about to type a post similar to yours.. but yours is very good. In my opinion the first few verses challenge the listener to reflect on the weak & the weary. The third verse offers hope that we might change and the rest of the song uplifts us to try to retain that new hope just as you pointed out. I do not know that Aileen got that on her 1st go. But she did have the obligatory "OMG this just feels in the feels" which she seems to know is what PF often does.
Crying is the most appropriate reaction to listening to this magic. Their music is etherial, transcending and emotional in the most connecting way ever. If ever there were a band to make you feel a part of all that is, it is these humans. What a gift to humanity they were.
I love watching your reactions. Pink Floyd makes grown men cry, not just young women like yourself. I've cried countless times over the decades listening to Floyd. Their music is pure magic. There's no other way to describe it. I saw them live on the 1994 tour. It was literally a life altering night.
I was lucky to see them on their last tour together in 1994. I was 12 years old and my friends' older brothers & his friends didn't want to take us with them. That concert changed my life, and I was in awe as we left, and now, as an adult, I am definitely grateful bc that changed everything for me.. Thank you
Is incredible how Pink Floyd can makes us cry just by the beauty of the music. Is a diferent kind of cry, is not by sadness is jus fell the emotion of the contemplation of something sublime, metafisical, spiritual. This is pure magic.
Wow… 50 + years of listening to Pink Floyd, and it still brings me to tears right along with you. A good set of headphones, with a good stereo, (various substances) transported you to a beautiful place. I was in awe that people could make something sound so amazing!
This is why Pink Floyd’s contribution to music has been so profound and their music is timeless. This band started in the late 60s and people are still discovering them and their music remains relevant year after year. I would suggest putting on your headphones, and listen to each Floyd album in its entirety in a dark comfortable setting. The music will take you away
So happy you did this one Aileen, absolutely beautiful. Love how everyone on stage sings together “No more turning away”, facing the crap head on in strength. Very powerful and uplifting. Much love!❤
I'm 70 years old and consider this as one of Pink Floyd's best songs. Especially in the lyrics and the message conveyed. It captures your soul and takes it to a place of truth and reality. It does affect you hard as you get older. Makes you reflect and see how you can or could have affected someone with a simple gift of generosity, to raise their self-esteem. Maybe the world would be a better place today?
Pink Floyd makes memories with there music. That's why I love them.. I'm 61 and I've been listening too them since 1973. I will always love Pink Floyd 💗
Anyone who listens to Pink and does not become emotional. I don't understand... You are not the only one that reacts to Pink like that. We ALL do Was that great or what???!!!! Love is a great way to put it.

I’ve been experiencing Pink Floyd now for well over 50 years and they have never disappointed. The part of the human makeup that lets us fail or be just Okay was not part of them.Another example of greatness from back in the day, when music had meaning and the ability to make you feel.Damn I miss the old days.
Music is my Time Machine some songs instantly take me back to when I first heard it. It’s also my drug. For every mood I have i have a song to match it.
Pink Floyd is a trip, high or sober it never mattered.Their music is always something that invokes an emotion. I've used Pink Floyd to fall asleep to because it's the perfect music just drift away.
This particular song hits people in the feels (in my opinion) is because it describes helping and loving those who are hurting. If you have any hurt in your life, it reaches into your heart and feels like a hug at the same time.
My mum heard this when she was about 80.and asked that this be played at her funeral..all of it...she died at 91 ..funeral was in an an old, big, high wooden church with a very good P.A. system.. ☺
The “turning away” is about how you see somebody’s struggle and pain, and keep on going about your day without batting an eyelash. Most people consider themselves caring, but they really don’t help, ever. Donating to charity businesses just pays that business’ bills. Approx 8 cents per dollar donated ever goes to somebody who needs it. The rest is to keep the charity afloat. Give your help directly to those you want to help.
"You don't know love, until you listen to Pink Floyd." Great quote. Thanks for your reaction. It's wonderful to see new people experience the depth of Pink Floyd.
The emotion you feel is so natural because what Gilmour plays through his guitar is so natural. It's from his soul to our souls. NOBODY can make their guitar SING like his.

The magic, deepness and glow of Pink Floyd's music, lyrics and presentation are absolutely unique. For several years I've played in a 10-piece Pink Floxd tribute band. We gave our best, but experienced honestly that there is something that can't be reproduced (especially when it comes to David's Solos). I tried hard to figure it out, but found just few answers in musical aspects. It's like you said Aileen "...I don't know what it was." After all, for me it's something out of this world. A high spiritual altitude or even "the breath of God". What a gift...
What a thoughtful and honest reaction to this very emotional and powerful Floyd song you have made! I'm sure its been gone over by hundreds by now but your feeling the inherent sadness was totally on purpose as this song is all about homelessness and how as humans it's just easier for us to "turn away" rather than doing anything about it. That breakdown in the middle you mentioned was meant to make you see how beauty and sadness can walk hand in hand, and make you think about how sad you feel about the topic. Then the long guitar solo is the catharthis which evokes anger, sadness, hope and finally resolution. I saw this tour back in '87 and '88 and then again in '94 so i had the privilege to see this song live and feel the immediacy of what you feel. I'm so glad to see the music Pink Floyd being enjoyed by the next generation after mine. It's timeless of course.
Personally, I love it when a song reaches into the depths of my heart and the tears will not be held back. I really appreciate your willingness to be yourself and allow us to share in your emotions.
Gilmour a guitar God. He can convey so much with so little. He uses phrasing so well and he lets his notes breathe. He is also a criminally underrated singer. Floyd is not just music its art.
Aileen, what a treat this was to experience this again for the first time through your eyes and ears! The message put out by the band on this performance all those years ago was directed through you and touched my soul. Much love to you!
4:15 Aileen Hope you enjoyed your introduction as much as I enjoyed hearing this after 45 years. .... So now its 1 year later and I see you emotional involvement, more. Hope you understand what 'boomers' learned as we grew up. 6:19
Truly a masterpiece, so inspiring and moving. It is like they don't play instruments, they are actually instruments, theirs all minds and bodies are music... it is divine and profound. We just don't try to understand it, just feeling it and be impacted by this tsunami of emotions, a beautiful cocktail of endorfines that cancel space and time and became in this place of wonder and marveling, joy and peace. Thanx God for this music, a beautifully crafted gift from You. Four thumbs up Aileen !! 👍👍👍👍
I loved that you said "You don't know love until you listen to Pink Floyd". That was a hell of a line/thought/feeling. You can't really tell how good and fantastic Pink Floyd is just by listening to them. You must be able to feel it, and you are. In such a beautiful way.
My nephew is about your age and I introduced him to Pink Floyd and he has taken to them as you have. I drew him in by just telling him “try this, it’s audio art, music that actually conjures imagery.” I will never get enough of watching your Pink Floyd journey!
Incredible reaction! I can totally relate to the emotions you feel while watching this. David Gilmour once again showing why he's the GOAT. Nobody emotes with their guitar like him.
this is a perfect example of why movies put music into certain parts of scenes - music evokes emotions in a way that can't be equaled, and Pink Floyd is a group who are masters of this.
After listening to “Floyd,” I’m always left in a better place. 🤘😎 Aileen, that was a genuinely beautiful reaction to this exceptional Gilmour composition. Everything from the later albums, “A Momentary Lapse of Reason” and “The Division Bell” will be more of what you obviously like. Love the channel. Regards
Pink Floyd has always been my 'therapy' when I needed a mental break. Soothing, soulful and an emotional ride through your thoughts/mind, body and soul. Absolutely my favorite band... Glad you enjoy them as well.
Hey Aileen! I’m new to the channel, having just found you about a month ago. I didn’t realize you’d reacted to this song until I looked at your older videos tonight. As wonderful as Pink Floyd are, and as fantastic as their more well-known songs are, this song and “Keep Talking,” are time and again in my top five for Floyd tunes. Never apologize for getting emotional listening to music, embrace it instead, because for the duration of the song, when you’re letting your emotions flow, you’re doing the exact same thing as the musicians are doing: you’re sharing in the human collective.
It was great revisiting a song I haven’t heard in ~20 years. And it still rings so true today. The best part about watching this is they are do clearly having fun. They also knew they absolutely nailed it. The backup singers though…..absolutely perfect. It’s a painting, with notes
We all say it because it’s the truth , Floyd are made differently the way they can pierce your heart ,mind and soul , honestly they make us all more human in those few moments we are listening to them and embraced by their music we become the best of ourselves our heart is bigger our minds reach further our souls can fly , that’s what creativity can release, fabulous reaction thank you 👍
I discovered Floyd in 1989, I saw them live in 1994. They stir emotions in me every time I listen to them. When you wiped a tear you made me cry. Floyd is amazing. Great reaction!
I really “discovered” Pink Floyd a few years ago. I was aware of them for years but never really got into them until about 4 years ago. Since then I listen to some PF everyday. “No band” moves me like PF. I have tears all the time, but they also make me happy and give me hope. They touch my soul. This is probably my most favourite of their songs. My other favourite is High Hopes. In fact the entire Division Bell live concert (1994) is a masterpiece. I love watching people’s reactions to PF. Yours was excellent.🇨🇦👍
Another GREAT reaction! PF is one of my all time favorites, this is such a moving song. His voice just speaks right to you and his guitar digs right into your soul... EVERY guitar wants David Gilmour for Christmas... I was fortunate enough to see them live on the 'Pulse' tour. I had tears my eyes the entire performance... Love your channel!
Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time and I love song choice ❤. David Gilmour is one of my favorite guitarists his guitar solos are always amazing.
You really should take about 2 hours out of your day and sit and watch the entire concert. That video was from the Delicate Sound of Thunder. That group of 3 female backing vocals where the best fr9m that era.. maybe any Floyd era.
Underrated though? I mean, I thought he was widely recognized as a virtuoso. Hell, even Roger Waters recently described him as a "jolly good guitarist."

Aileen, what a treat this was to experience this again for the first time through your eyes and ears! The message put out by the band on this performance all those years ago was directed through you and touched my soul. Much love to you!
4:15 Aileen
Hope you enjoyed your introduction as much as I enjoyed hearing this after 45 years.
👍👍👍👍
A happy tear a perfect explanation of floyd for sure! Love it ❤
I loved that you said "You don't know love until you listen to Pink Floyd". That was a hell of a line/thought/feeling. You can't really tell how good and fantastic Pink Floyd is just by listening to them. You must be able to feel it, and you are. In such a beautiful way.
I was lucky enough to see them 3 times during Delicate sound of thunder tour. I am still mesmerized by them when i watch the DVD
David Gilmour... just magical, still makes me cry like the first time I heard this magnificent solo!
Aileen, be sure to check out the live (pulse) version of pink floyds great gig in the sky featuring Sam Brown. Absolutely fantastic
Pink Floyd is amazing and timeless
Just to see you make this music even more❤.. omg thangs girl❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pink Floyd is a gift to humanity
Triumph over tragedy, love conquers all. Spiritual oneness, and "no more turning away". Your reaction is very sweet and genuine.
This came out the year I graduated high school. I remember it well.
My nephew is about your age and I introduced him to Pink Floyd and he has taken to them as you have. I drew him in by just telling him “try this, it’s audio art, music that actually conjures imagery.”
I will never get enough of watching your Pink Floyd journey!
Incredible music can move us all and only a few can do it
They definitely have a gift of making us feel our true emotions.
You're such a beautiful soul and person and you really understand Floyd, you're amazing
You listen and feel Pink Floyd the way I listen and feel Pink Floyd. David Gilmour is and will always be my favorite guitar player.
This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs of all time.
It was great revisiting a song I haven’t heard in ~20 years. And it still rings so true today.
The best part about watching this is they are do clearly having fun. They also knew they absolutely nailed it. The backup singers though…..absolutely perfect. It’s a painting, with notes
We all say it because it’s the truth , Floyd are made differently the way they can pierce your heart ,mind and soul , honestly they make us all more human in those few moments we are listening to them and embraced by their music we become the best of ourselves our heart is bigger our minds reach further our souls can fly , that’s what creativity can release, fabulous reaction thank you 👍
Great reaction, insightful analysis.
This song holds such deep meaning for so many people and its different for everyone
I discovered Floyd in 1989, I saw them live in 1994. They stir emotions in me every time I listen to them. When you wiped a tear you made me cry. Floyd is amazing. Great reaction!
I first heard this track 40 years ago and I've never stopped loving it, it's beautiful, there is so much feeling in the guitar solo.
This song brings tears to its eyes. I follow Pink Floyd for over 30 years. It's wonderful. Congratulations dear friend ❤
Your reaction is such amazing as the song)
The lyrics are really poignant but it is really Gilmour’s guitar that pierces the heart
Pink Floyd has a way of reaching into someone's heart, and even if it's cold and seems dead; their music and lyrics make you feel again.
In a world where most wear a mask, it is a privilege to see the soul. All the best and hug, Boyan
Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time and I love song choice ❤. David Gilmour is one of my favorite guitarists his guitar solos are always amazing.
I feel the music so much more watching your expressions and feeling how it touches your soul.
This song always seemed very melancholy to me. Fab reaction and of course PF is fabulous as always 😌
You really should take about 2 hours out of your day and sit and watch the entire concert. That video was from the Delicate Sound of Thunder. That group of 3 female backing vocals where the best fr9m that era.. maybe any Floyd era.
The girls get showcased in 'the great gig in the sky', but they co-own the stage with Gilmore I totally agree. Listen to the whole concert.
Your reaction is 100% spot on girl they make you feel the music ❤😊
THE, GREATEST, SONG, EVER.
David Gilmour is the most underrated guitarist of all time... He makes the guitar speak every single time.
I've been saying that for many years! To see him live is is definitely a mesmerizing experience! No one like him!
Underrated though? I mean, I thought he was widely recognized as a virtuoso. Hell, even Roger Waters recently described him as a "jolly good guitarist."
He is generally considered a top 5 all timer.
"Underated" is you tube click bait. Stop using this word please. Gilmour is highly regarded. For those of us who know PF.
If anyone ever wonted an example of a perfect harmony. It’s this song. It’s perfection with all the band and backup singers .
Pink Floyd drive your emotions …. It’s that simple ❤❤❤
