    I appreciated that Peppermint acknowledged that the iconic ways/speech of drag community is rooted in the Black mommas and aunties from which they came. I respect how this subject was presented without "tokenism" but yet acknowledged it. 👏👏👏👏👏

    I'm so glad that this show exists and the diversity in the cast, exploring the nuances and intersections between black and other minority groups. peppermint was especially amazing for this episode because not only is she a black trans femme queen, she's well versed and incredibly intelligent. honey was also amazing, she's so charming and truly understood the topic. this series is so important and great to listen to

    I wish they will accept that the art of highlight and contour came from us the trans/queens , it’s stage makeup to play up for the back of the room in a dim lit space ... now lol 😂 it’s daytime and normal to be in high face makeup

    The drag queens get their style from women in the 80s watch Dynasty...this was a good time too because the women read yuh with so much class back then you got whip lashed... my time so when I read people they are left confused...but this also tells my age lol

    They look better than the host. They're more glam. Ladies how do we let drag queens look better than real women? Step it up!

    • @Tom_Atoe
      @Tom_Atoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I dont think you all need too. Women are great as they are. Typical drag is the personification of a glamorous woman. All women have that skill and ability to be glamorous. But it's not your job to do it 5 days a week. That's why Drag queens are always on point.

    I think you just hate yourselves. I do not get it.

    • @MaleOrderBride
      @MaleOrderBride 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The word "hate" is a bit strong...but, yes, i agree that it is a bit hypocritical of these Drag Queens to be promoting all this "Love yourself" BS...when the men underneath only love themselves by putting on fake wigs and makeup!
      I wish these gay men would love themselves naturally and think they are "beautiful" just as they are...without all the wigs and makeup and duct tape.

    • @Tom_Atoe
      @Tom_Atoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@MaleOrderBride that is an untrue statement. Honey lives her life as a man happily 90% of the time the other 10% is for work. For most drag queens drag is just that a job. Your assuming a bit much when you say they dont like themselves. Many drag queens are paid have wonderful families and decent incomes. Many drag queens use drag to heal and be greater than they what theyve been in the past. Its battle armor and a learning process of being the best you
      Many drag queens are the same person out of drag.

    • @kimanderson2342
      @kimanderson2342 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Tom_Atoe many arent. I've met some extremely TOXIC drag performers. Some, in fact, AREN'T happy .. a lot of open wounds that need healing and drag is just one way to cope (at least a few of the ones I know). While all arent unhappy with themselves and their life , there are some that are miserable-- and misery lovessss company. Theyre just like any other people. False confidence doesnt negate facts... a lot of people are fooled by the cheery dispositions..sometimes it's just a facade.

    • @kimanderson2342
      @kimanderson2342 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may be right. Some that I know PERSONALLY are miserable people....those are the ones that, unfortunately, people ASSUME most of them are like. I dont think these two in the video apply. They seem well adjusted and about their bag tbh.

    • @Tom_Atoe
      @Tom_Atoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know some that are pretty well down on themselves and nasty. But I think the younger the drag queen the more "issues." I'd hope most people would grow with their drag. It's kinda sad when you're living two lives and some I think invest so much life into the persona they forget about the person underneath the illusion.
