I love that Elijah is in these videos. I have no doubt that he will be a fantastic tech guy in the future, because when he makes mistakes you show him how to fix them rather than being an angry boss - really, really wholesome. And he's a great guy and deserves the time and training.
The mirror may have been mounted too high for its purpose, but used to create the illusion of a larger room, taking the same line as the wardrobe doors and the window was a really smart decision (or a fortunate coincidence).
Plus the benefits of having to stand up straight to see yourself, physically and mentally wise, especially in the morning or when feeling down and you want to slouch the most. The angle they were showing in the video made the mirror compliment the whole room and brought the overall aesthetic of everything around it up.
Or Elijah asked Horst when it was about the right height. Horst is 6'4", Linus is 5'6" and Jake is 5'9". I don't know about Elijah as he hasn't modelled anything for LTTstore yet
I usually mount any mirror so that no matter what height you are, you can still see yourself in the mirror. I think the mirror was mounted at a good height. Linus is pretty short (sorry, it's true) and even he could get his shoulders to reach within view. Anyone who is taller will appreciate that they don't have to crouch down in front of the mirror.

The thing is you could tell Elijah has some really solid logistical and technical skills he's just clumsy and goofy which fits in so well. I hope he becomes a regular host someday

Just so you know - this specific model of QNAP NASes (TS-451 or any other similar models with J1800/J1900 processor) are randomly dying due to LPC clock bug that will make it not boot. I suggest to replace it at the earliest opportunity or make sure the data is backed up. I had one that died this way. You can revive it by soldering a resistor, but it's considered a temporary solution. As far as I know there are equivalent models from Synology that have the exact same problem.
@@Manivelarino AFAIK its how the NAS is writing the data and also the map of data and chunks. So if ur system dies but not the disks the map of the array may be loss rendering the data on the disks as a bunch of gibberish for other systems to read off
@@Manivelarino in my case disks were fine, but I'm not sure if you would be able to connect them to another (non QNAP) NAS or PC if you had RAID on them to extract data. When that failure happened, disk LEDs were red suggesting that they died, but it was not the case. Also it rebooted itself without my prompt, so that might be another failsafe. So data likely won't be corrupted, just not easily accessible and therefore my suggestion about backups.

Whoever writes Elijah's scripts for these upgrades does a great job. They definitely get his character to seem like someone who should have been given a coloring book and asked to wait in the corner while the adults work. But for real though Elijah makes these vidoes so much better.

I'm in the middle of trying to get my pc upgraded here as I have been limping my 5960k along since 2014 and I was working a ton during the pandemic, but like everyone the shortages made it near impossible to build new systems. I love the LTT crew!

I'm in the middle of trying to get my pc upgraded here as I have been limping my 5960k along since 2014 and I was working a ton during the pandemic, but like everyone the shortages made it near impossible to build new systems. I actually love the Ubiquiti MESH feature. Don't use it often, but when you need to cover a dead space, no need for wires and you can throw something off of it, like printer or a phone. Neat thing
