I taught 3rd grade for 8 years. Loved that grade and that age.

Glad you’re liking third grade so far! It’s the best grade. I’ve taught it for 6 years and LOVE it! I would love to see more specifics of what you teach in a day but everything you do is great!
The beginning of the year is always busy, busy, busy. I'm still recovering from some last minute changes made right before our school year started. I hope you're enjoying 3rd grade so far.

I'd love to hear how different it is with the ability of the kids in third vs first. I'm thinking management, ability to do independent work, maturity level, just all the things. :-) Also how has your teaching presentation changed now that you work with kids who can already read. You could show what they're learning, and how you present it.

Can you share what you routinely bring for your lunch and what you drink during the day? Also where did you get your food storage container ? It always looks so organized and planned out !! Love it! Greatvlog!!
I typically bring sandwiches or left overs most of the time! I take greek yogurts for snack. The food containers are rubbermaid from Walmart!

Wish you could move your teacher desk where the mirror is and put your mirror up there.
We are so happy you are posting but we don’t want it to be too much of a burden with the new year/ new grade. Keep your videos simple. Maybe like outfits of the week where you film it just before school or like day in my life only. Or even Saturday in my life. Glad you are enjoying your new position!!

Hi ms katie haven't been on you tube for a while now how is your classroom going so far
I’m new to third grade math this year, do you use iready math? What will your small group rotations consist of?
Also new to third grade math! We use Go Math curriculum. We have iReady math online as a resource but I have not started using it yet. Currently doing math whole group and will start pulling intervention groups soon
I’m also a Florida 3rd grade teacher. I’m curious what curriculum y’all use for math and reading? With the standard to benchmark switch we completely changed our curriculum and it’s not been the best. We do Benchmark for Reading and Reveal Math for Math
We have MyView Literacy for Reading and are still using an old GoMath curriculum for Math
