Hell yeah!! This song is awesome, and so is the album, Flight b741. Every single member gets to be on lead vocals, though sadly this song is currently Mikey's only lead vocal performance, making him the member with the fewest lead vocal performances. Then it would be Lukey, (all of his lead vocal contributions are on this album, and he wrote the title track) Cookie, Joey, Amby and Stuey. It's just a fun time all around. I'm pretty sure you have all of the context you need for this album, I think you've already heard everything that's referenced on it. My only suggestion for context would maybe be Fishing For Fishies, as this is kind of a successor to parts of that album, though it's a ton heavier and bluesier. Very glad you came back, and I'm surprised nobody was talking about it in the discord!

The new album is very fun, back to the roots kinda stuff. You haven't listened to too much of their boogie style music. Really like to see Fishing For Fishies for the next Gizz day. Maybe my fav Gizz album. I would say FFF is more experimental compared to Flight b741 but they share the same origin of sound. :)

You don't need to listen to any album to listen to their new album Flight b471. You hit the nail on the head of the influences for this one. Just listen and have fun. The closest other album is Fishing For Fishies but, just a few songs really. I'd recommend definitely checking out The Silver Chord Extended Editions before seeing them live. Make sure you've listened to all microtonal albums too. That's always a safe bet.

This might be one of my favorite Gizz songs also, I just wish the rest of the album was more like it. A lot of the songs are not rockin enough for me or not chill enough its like in this weird middle ground. Still a solid album with some great songs though.

I would say that the album Fishing for Fishies is the closest sonically so it would be cool to check out, but it's by no means a requirement.

The one closest to this albums genre in the Gizz category is Fishing for Fishies. Its one of my favourite of their albums. Highly reccomend
