PSG look like a team of individuals, too many superstars around that played as if they don't know each other. I had them as favorites to win it before the start of the season but now I don't see past Bayern. They are such a well oiled machine.
They were already a team of individuals, and people think throwing in five guys who are all going to be adapting, playing for themselves and competing for places is going to bring the team together? It's a great load of players, but it might not be a great team. Neymar is always injured and in the big games seems to start playing hero ball, dribbling it down the line every chance he gets and trying to get into the box. Mbappe DOES have a problem with going missing at times, especially in the latter stages of the UCL, plus he has his head half way out the door. Messi is fantastic but he's 34 and we've seen him not win with teams better than this. To be absolutely fair to them, we haven't really seen them with any of Ramos, Messi and Neymar yet. Let alone all together, but so far not very impressive.

I don't agree. They're not individuals. If you watch their games you can see that all try to provide a lot to all. However, the finishing is the problem. All Neymar, Messi, Mbappe, are struggling with finishing. Howver, if all clicks. Then they will be very dangerous. The ego is gone. Mbappe seems like he enjoys playing with Messi. They are better and better. They just need better defence which I think Ramos will bring a difference. But they need to finish the opportunities they get. Messi always starts slow first half. PSG cannot run a press with a front 3 of Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar. they just don't do enough work. i think a radical solution that could prove a good method is to have the 3 of them sit in an advanced midfield position with the rest of the team in a low block. the formation could be 343 and the wide backs (Hakimi and Bernat) would provide the width beside the front 3. the back line could spread wide to allow the midfielders to drop in or out of the line to either mark the half spaces or maintain a numbers advantage. without pressing they could stay quite compact. with a sophisticated offside trap and a large amount of time in possession it could be a good tactic to spend less time without the ball in general and against weaker teams they will likely not be able to be broken down so easily with such little space for the other teams to work with.

Why would you get a coach who demands that his players press relentlessly and then have a front 3 that is in the 4th, 7th and 38th percentile in terms of pressures per game for forwards, not to mention they've got Wijnaldum who is by the stats a below average midfielder who's only redeeming quality is his pass completion and has terrible pressing numbers. Poch is an amazing coach however the collective of egos he has he doesn’t know how to handle them mbappe , Messi and neymar haven’t jelled well . In the league they were pressured by Lyon and in the champions league they just couldn’t create an opening . Once the work rate goes up and the egos get cancelled by the coach then they will be better .
