Even with all the money they have spent on players over the years, PSG have still not been able to get the one thing they’ve wanted for so long now - UEFA Champions League success. Why? Well, here are the reasons why PSG always fail in the Champions League.

It's because of the infamous remontada in 2017 that changed both side's fate, especially after the controversial decision that allowed two penalties for Barcelona to stand.
For Barcelona: They suffered 3 big defeats away from Camp Nou to Juventus, Roma, and Liverpool; with the latter two being humiliating because Barcelona were 3 goals up at the Camp Nou game and defeat to Liverpool was more catastrophic. Later on, Barcelona were demolished 8-2 by Bayern Munich, and didn't make through the Round of 16 in 2021-22 and 2022-23 when Messi left for PSG.
For PSG: They only played better in 2019-20 and 2020-21, when there are no spectators because of COVID. They suffered a remontada against Manchester United in 2018-19 and Real Madrid in 2021-22. The 2019-20 was such a closest way they achieved a big dream. When Messi arrived, the team played inconsistent and didn't even topped the group in the last two Champions League group stages.
U forget 2013 their biggest lose Home and Away game against Bayern Munich in 4-0 3-0 = 7-0

We don't have the best defense, we didn't keep a clean sheet in any of our 8 UCL matches this year. Ideally we'd get rid of two of MNM but Mbappe is untouchable and Neymar will refuse to leave, so sadly I think Messi must be sacrificed. Let him go back to Barca, he deserves it. The midfield wins titles and we need to take whatever money is available this year (which won't be a bunch due to FFP) and sign one or two world-class midfielders alongside Verratti

Yes I do agree with u..they have world class players but no team work.. For example, look at what mbappe did in the world cup.. France attacking was just amazing and u need to hold your breath when they put a pressure on the defensive line.. It was so quick and that was fantastic to watch 😀😀

@@bonteprete remember in 2009 madrid splashed big in the transfer market, the likes of ronaldo (world record transfer at that time), benzema, kaka (world record transfer before ronaldo) and alonso, ronaldo and benzema went on to win loads of champions leagues with Madrid, and then forming BBC with the addition of another world record signing bale, who went on to score twice in the 2018 champions league final, madrid also won a champions league title in 2014 then three in a row, and recently benzema exploded to aid madrid in last season's champions league (which they won if you forgot). You can buy the champions league with money, just that madrid did it right.

PSG supporter of 17 years & co-host of a large PSG podcast here to summarize my thoughts on our situation:
1. 90% of the first 4 problems discussed are a result of the 5th issue- QSI is bad at running the club. Nasser grew up a PSG fan and was seen wearing our shirts back in the 90s, but he's not much more than that- a fan. He's a fan like you or me but he just has money and connections from the other parts of his life (tennis being a big one). I appreciate his enthusiasm of trying to help his favorite club but since the sportswashing regime isn't going to sell the club anytime soon, they need to be a more passive owner if we want to be successful. Luis Campos (pictured in the video) is a proven genius and has identified an insane amount of French and Portuguese superstars (Kylian being the biggest one). He's already lowered the wage bill significantly after the last director increased it 44% in two years to an unsustainable level that was just asking for further FFP sanctions. Give him the full title of sporting director and president and let him cook while Qatar quits nosing their way into forcing superstar signings for sportswashing and marketing reasons.
2. Zidane was never going to manage PSG
