Such a tough song to choose. Being so closely identified with the great Judy Garland, even Barbra Streisand, before performing it at one of her recorded concerts, paid tribute to Ms Garland and wondered aloud whether anyone else should EVER be allowed to sing it... It was a joy to hear Park Ji Min sing it so beautifully - I'm sure Judy Garland would have approved :)

I like both Ji Min (and Yerin of course) and Lee Hi... But actually, to be historically accurate, Lee Hi got very little promotion prior to 1234 becoming a big hit. YG stepped things up only after 1234 turned out to be a big hit and a lot of the things that people think of as "promotion" were just the inevitable results of 1234 being at the top of the charts for 25 consecutive days. (I think even YG was surprised when it became such a big hit.) In fact, Lee Hi's fans were complaining because she was nowhere to be seen in the months prior to 1234's release. Ji Min was doing yogurt commercials and public service announcement commercials for the government and appearing in public much more than Lee Hi was. (And, weirdly, some "antis" even tried to use that situation as "proof" that Lee Hi was not popular and would not be successful.) Ji Min even debuted before Lee Hi did and the 15& pre-debut and post-debut promotional activity was at least as extensive as Lee Hi's. They were doing all the important broadcasts, like Inkigayo, they had plenty of news article coverage, Ji Min did a special show with her mother, etc., etc. There was actually quite a bit of good promotion for 15&. The pre-1234 promotion for Lee Hi was pretty much just a square box put up on the YG website with text (no pictures in it) that announced the upcoming release and then, just a few days before the release, YG flew some big 1,2,3,4 balloons over the YG building. That was just about all there was and the press releases/news articles just before the debut release were no more extensive than what you would see for any other standard debut, and definitely no more extensive than 15&'s. I think both 15& and Lee Hi are great and I wish them both much success. Ji Min and Yerin are obviously very good singers and they're off to a good start -- especially when you consider how young they are. I just wanted to set the record straight because a lot of people just assume that Lee Hi somehow got some amazingly better promotion at the time that 1234 was released. To be historically accurate, that simply was not the case. For most, it's just an honest mistake. But there are some people who really seem to have a hard time giving any credit to Lee Hi, so they're always trying to make it sound like she just benefitted from a huge amount of promotional effort by YG (so not the case). Lee hi had a lot of fans during this kpop thing. She got first place in fan pick, ji min won cause the judges give her a higher points. And even if she picks yg, she might not even debut. I do not think so. Hi Lee YG can be one good advantage to her success but also said Jimin into JYP is not good. JYP had made the rookie group Miss A 1 after 3 weeks has shocked the cup no1 debut. It was a feat that had never before had any one group recruits do so, and also one of the Wonder Girls first kpop group, which entered the Billboard 100 charts of the most prestigious beauty . And there is not any group from the outset can do well even BIGBANG so I hope you take the time to 15 & can show you two girls would do better. And because of that, I believe the JYP she will not be failures.

Ji Min even debuted before Lee Hi did and the 15& pre-debut and post-debut promotional activity was at least as extensive as Lee Hi's. They were doing all the important broadcasts, like Inkigayo, they had plenty of news article coverage, Ji Min did a special show with her mother, etc., etc. There was actually quite a bit of good promotion for 15&.
The pre-1234 promotion for Lee Hi was pretty much just a square box put up on the YG website with text (no pictures in it) that announced the upcoming release and then, just a few days before the release, YG flew some big 1,2,3,4 balloons over the YG building. That was just about all there was and the press releases/news articles just before the debut release were no more extensive than what you would see for any other standard debut, and definitely no more extensive than 15&'s.
I think both 15& and Lee Hi are great and I wish them both much success. Ji Min and Yerin are obviously very good singers and they're off to a good start -- especially when you consider how young they are.
I just wanted to set the record straight because a lot of people just assume that Lee Hi somehow got some amazingly better promotion at the time that 1234 was released. To be historically accurate, that simply was not the case. For most, it's just an honest mistake. But there are some people who really seem to have a hard time giving any credit to Lee Hi, so they're always trying to make it sound like she just benefitted from a huge amount of promotional effort by YG (so not the case).

Lee hi had a lot of fans during this kpop thing. She got first place in fan pick, ji min won cause the judges give her a higher points. And even if she picks yg, she might not even debut. Because yg was planning to put her into the 4 girl group (if you remember who they are in season 1) but lee hi surprising did a big hit, and yg break the contract with the other girls. You never know what's happening, I think jyp is doing good for 15&. And I think ji min seens happy in jyp with got7
I do not think so. Hi Lee YG can be one good advantage to her success but also said Jimin into JYP is not good. JYP had made the rookie group Miss A 1 after 3 weeks has shocked the cup no1 debut. It was a feat that had never before had any one group recruits do so, and also one of the Wonder Girls first kpop group, which entered the Billboard 100 charts of the most prestigious beauty . And there is not any group from the outset can do well even BIGBANG so I hope you take the time to 15 & can show you two girls would do better. And because of that, I believe the JYP she will not be failures.
