I really had no idea she was hiding this voice. She needs to make music in the USA - Korea doesn't like her powerful contralto sound, they seem to want soft soprano types of female voices for kpop at least.
I think she tried to be a bit softer in the beginning, like with her 19to20 album. Most of the songs were ballads and pop and I think she might’ve been holding back a little to appeal to Korean audiences.(This is just my speculation so she might’ve said something differently) But now she doesn’t care and wants to do whatever she wants.
