Jimi was the total package; wholesome, talented, good-looking. Can't say enough about him and his band. So refreshing from the garbage being sold today.
Vital Signs should've sold 5 or 6 times platinum and been the record that allowed them to tour sheds every summer. What an album, what a voice, what a performance from everybody on board.
Besides Vital Signs, The albums When Seconds Count and Too Hot to Sleep have great songs on them. Jimi, And I believe Jim Peterik, felt Too Hot to Sleep was one of their best albums. I am also enjoying Jimi's 2008 album, Crossroads Moment, produced by and with songs written by Jim Peterik (Survivor founding member) and Jimi's last CD, Never too late. Great singing and songs on both of those last albums.
The most underrated song of all time, we were high before the night started kicking in, talking to.myself begging for your touch, in the middle of the street, if any guy / girl hasnt lived these lyrics, well they haven't lived. It's a special feeling meeting somebody special and this song captures that special feeling like no other song does. A truly magical song and one of perfection 4:48
This can’t be live? Are you serious? Wow, I’m blown away on how good this band was! Damn! It sounds better live than on the recording. What an amazing band! Drummer, keys, guitars, bass is a huge wall of sound. And than Jimi....wow, wow, wow! That soaring voice...only two singers could hang with Jimi and that’s Bickler and Steve Perry! How is he this good live?

Please someone build me a time machine or get me G.H Wells and take me back. what era it was and era that we never see again. What can I say. Thank you . we really showed us a lot.
I love Survivor and Journey both to the end. I would have been been so amazing to see Steve Perry and Jimi Jamison do a song together, now THAT would be gold.
Absolutely perfect... any song from the Live in Japan 1985 series is 100% on key and flawless, as good or better than the studio version.. Not even Steve Perry is this perfect
I miss you so much Jimi. Top 10 voice all of the time. This live show from Japan had the whole band sounding superb! I'll keep playing all the video TH-cam has as I have for 30 years. Rest in Peace.
Amazing live version, fantastic! Jim Peterik & Frankie Sullivan thank you for writing these great songs. And Jimi Jamison what a smooth clear voice always on key.
I believe the building shown in the beginning of the video was closed permanently yesterday. A number of Japanese and intertnational performers played on its stage to entertain people in Tokyo. The sound quality of Survivor's performance of this song is extremely high. I wish I were there to see them perform High On You, my favorite song of theirs, in my teens.
It has done it! Topped Eye Of The Tiger as the favourite by Survivor, I was out shopping this morning and when I thought of Survivor, this was the first song that crossed my mind. Up until about 2 months ago I only knew the big 2 and couldn't even name Jimi he was purely "The guy who sung Burning Heart" in that short space of time Survivor has topped Bon Jovi as my favourite band and Jimi is closing in on top male singer fast, he is currently second to Rod Stewart. There has been something by Survivor on my computer or cd player everyday for about the last 2 months. I always say my "favourite song" by a band or singer is the first one I think of when I either think of the band or hear its name
@@flonotflow Agreed on Mickey Thomas as well, I love Starships '80's stuff, Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now was the theme tune to my favourite film Mannequin
Jimi Jamison reminds me of a high school rocker friend I had who had this easy-going cool about everything kinda attitude. I didn't know Jimi, but I would venture to say that he was a very good friend to have. In this world god takes care of people with good hearts. In this "Corporate" world we currently live, we are led to believe that to succeed one has to be a prick, and that is so far from the truth. You will succeed corporate-wise like that but it will be short-lived and at the end of your life you will have no real friends to show up even to your funeral. But dudes like Jimi will make real friends for a lifetime. I bet his funeral was packed with people he really cared for and they really cared for him.
Ronaldo Sanchez, yes, his memorial service was a blend of family, colleagues and fans. His youngest daughter sang a song for Jimi. Jim Peterik and Mike Reno (Loverboy) also sang at the memorial. I really miss Jimi. Memphis was never the same for me after he died.

I know there had to be more than just them,,, But my mind is a bit scattered and I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. I did get to see Cheap Trick over in Seattle in the early/mid 80's. What an excellent show!! Would have loved to see Jimi sing live. but a lot of these videos are 1080/720 and have pretty damn good audio, but still, Would've been nice. RIP Jimi.
Jimi was so smokin' HOTTTTTT, and his voice was nearly unmatched! Even befire he oassed in 2014, he could still belt out every note with sheer perfection ❤
after dave left the band in the early 80's, the boys found jimmi!!! is that fate or what??? he fit perfectly. god bless you as you go home now. r.i.p. jimmi.
I was so blessed I saw SURVIVOR with less than 250 people at Wingate College NC in 1987 Unbelievably best concert I EVER attended. Stood within 3 feet of lead singers, (Jimmi Jamison, I think) daughter caught his kerchief and fought another woman for it AND won it.
Say what you will about Survivor. They might not be for everyone. But this band is seriously underrated. That's no CD playing or lipsyncing....... That's live. Tell me you can hear the difference? Case closed. That alone should get this band the recognition they deserve.
Survivor, its so ironic that their biggest hit almost finished it, due to how massive Eye Of The Tiger was the UK forgot about anything else done by Survivor, possibly other than Burning Heart
Jimi was so good looking and was a amazing singer. This band live was amazing...I got to see them three times and they were excellent every time. Rip Jimi ❤️
When i first started watching this video I thought they were lip sync-ing. Because it sounded so similer to the album version.No. I was wrong what a voice!
So, so good. Sounds just like the record!! Peterik is so talented, and Jimi had the voice of a Angel. So sad Frankie and Jim can't get it together!!!

Jimi Jamison one of the best that ever lived!
+The Michaels Media Group that's true
+George Martin As someone from Alabama, I take exception to that.
I read about Jenna Jameson and she is not Jimmi's brother. Aff...lies.
Great vocals with alot of spirit and emotion 👍
He certainly is. One problem though by the time I found his name he had been dead almost 10 years
We miss you Jimi, one the best voices ever
Jimi and Frankie, a match made in heaven
I saw them at Philly's Spectrum in 1985 ! What a night ! Jimi had a voice like a bell!
3 bands back in the early 80's that were popular here in the USA but were MEGA STARS in Japan were these guys......Night Ranger....and Cheap Trick !!!
and Toto
MultiGTAlover I did not know that about Toto TY and have a good day my friend !
1HUFFMAN Thank you...;)
MultiGTAlover Does that include Dorothy? lol
Man the 80s were awesome. To be a teenager. From about 1982 to 88. Was absolutely awesome
The year he played here (1985), he had just married his second wife, Debbie Teal Jamison. Later they had their two children, James Michael and Lacy. 💕
His wife was terrible to him
@@BarbaraE-zh7eyshe sure was …
after dave left the band in the early 80's, the boys found jimmi!!! is that fate or what??? he fit perfectly. god bless you as you go home now. r.i.p. jimmi.
Yep!!
Well... Dave was fired instead of just leaving
But Jimi for sure made a story of his own
My compliments to the Engineers, Technicians and most of all Survivor, Well Done! ---
Thank You for your Post!

Best concert live they ever did ,make sure you watch the Song First Night ,i have never heard a better song then that
When I was in China many years ago, I introduced the voice of Jimi and the band to them. They could not get enough.
Survivor + Japan in the 1980s = Bliss!
Wish I could return to that awesome era!
So long Jimi. Legendary!
最高!!
survivorカッコイイ!
日本に来てくれてありがとう!!
I think anything Jimi sang was my favorite. Amazing lyrics from Jim and Frankie!
"I'm higher than a kite, I know I've been hooked on your love" !!!!!
What a beautiful song from this Era 🎵
Say what you will about Survivor. They might not be for everyone. But this band is seriously underrated. That's no CD playing or lipsyncing....... That's live. Tell me you can hear the difference? Case closed. That alone should get this band the recognition they deserve.
Survivor, its so ironic that their biggest hit almost finished it, due to how massive Eye Of The Tiger was the UK forgot about anything else done by Survivor, possibly other than Burning Heart
いつ聞いても素晴らしいの一言!完璧ですね。感動しましたわ。
"Such complete intoxication!" Great love song. What a voice.

God Bless Jimi Jameson!, Love ❤ you Jimi!! RIP
Perfection Singing. R.I.P.
Damn...this makes me cry.
So good!! No auto-tune!
