Regardless of what was said, I just want to say thank you to Louisiana Public Broadcasting for uploading this in a timely manner with good quality. As a Louisiana citizen who has been unable to attend any of the debates so far, this video was incredibly educational to see these candidates clash and hear their primary points.
I am so glad that Eddie Rispone is opposed to the death penalty due to his Christian faith. I am also strongly opposed to the death penalty due to my Christian faith. I am a social conservative who opposes the death penalty and abortion. I am pro-life.
If you look at all of the stats on paper... Louisiana looks terrible. Here is whats not looked at, Jindal left this state in really bad shape. Its sad to say but we have improved a lot and we are still looking bad. JBE along with Steve, Kennedy, and other leaders have done a pretty good job. When we talk about programs like early start...we simply don't have the funds. Its seriously that simple
Politicians love telling you what they are going to fund, but not how they are going to get the money. I want a candidate that doesn't "buy" votes with my money. Quit promising benefits at the taxpayers expense.

Abraham has my vote. While I’m certainly Pro-Life, I do not agree that is the same as capital punishment. My grandmother was murdered and the demon that did this should have been executed. There is no rehabilitation for such a crime. I believe in an eye for an eye.
Rachel Maga, I see your point their are things I like about Rispone except not wanting to execute murders and rapists it is not the same as murdering unborn children rapists and murders are criminals who do not deserve a another chance death to murders and rapists.
Then why not vote for JBE. He said he is defending the laws of Louisiana and will and has faithfully executed those laws. It shoudl not be left up to a governor, and JBE understands that. He follows the rule of law, and in Louisiana, that means capital punishment is legal.
JBE has made Louisiana a very hostile place for large businesses to do business. Especially the oil industry. After he got in office his law suits against them made them flee to Texas. While the rest of the country enjoyed the Trump economy we are dead last in jobs and revenue. I am a business owner and so is my brother, I am the whole work force and my brother has a lot of employees. From very small to large businesses suffered under JBE. Edwards is constantly wanting to raise taxes. Maybe if him and his family weren’t colluding with our money we wouldn’t have this problem!!! Break up the monopoly! And he watches CNN for his news 🤪
If you want nice things, you gotta pay for it.. simple. You probably complain about our terrible roads, but wont raise a nickle to get it done. Want education for our kids? Raise the money for it. Very simple, if you want Louisiana to start getting fixed up.. we gotta pay and spend responsibility.
THat's not true. He has not raised income taxes at all. He temporarily HAD to raise select sales taxes in order to pay off Jindal's wreckless deficit. JBE gets his news from the Advocate and local news stations and newspapers. He said he occasionally watches CNN, as people should. If you watched the actual NEWS part of CNN, you would see that it is very fair. I'm not talking about pundit shows, which do not claim to be news.
The state had no money when Jindal left. We have to pay for things like roads. If the state doesnt have money we have to raise taxes. Its simple. Btw.... Do you know what taxes where raised?? Tobacco...lol.
