I’m determined to learn how to draw characters in perspective. I’m going to be honest, the majority of this video went completely over my head. I felt pretty stupid whilst I was watching it but it’s made me realise that I need to slow down and focus on putting simple shapes into perspective and understanding how perspective actually works from a fundamental point of view before I even begin to think about putting entire figures in extreme perspectives. Thank you for the video and high quality information! Definitely subscribing!

Yeh, i agree its not that accesible for beginners, hes throwing around complex principles and not really explaining anything in depth - but its because he needs to get it all in around 10 mins as he gets more views that way.
Also the idea i think is these are just kind of "trailers" for his longer courses you need to buy- I recommend going on his Gumroad site and buying the "perspective bundle" , they are your normal tutorial length- and you will actually learn the principles needed !

Your delivery style is a huge part of the appeal of your channel for me.
I've been bingeing on art tutorials lately and your presentation is excellent. Nothing zany, not whispering, no verbal static or useless words.
Nothing distracts from exactly what you are trying to demonstrate, which happens to be really good stuff.

Rewatched this several times before, now it totally makes more sense to me! Sometimes I still struggle on what kind of lens I should be using when drawing only a character, and it messes up my proportions, since I subconsciously associate the background perspective as well (and usually it's mostly wide-angle/fisheye)

You seem pretty negative and critical of others who are more skilled than you, it wont serve you well if you’re aspiring to be a concept artist.
Don’t put so much effort into acting like you know what you’re talking about, and put more effort into humbling yourself and learning from the masters.
