    This was literally the best video on perspective, I've watched so many videos on perspective and they go over my head. What you said about multiple vp's blew my mind.. all my art teachers just told me to keep it to a single vp on the hl which made me so confused when doing different angles . Thanks so much!

    • @megamaster0
      @megamaster0  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome! Similar to you I had been confused for a very long time because of the multiple VP thing. People rarely teach it!
      A good practice is to take a photo of some objects, plop down a horizon line, and then try to plot the VP for each object. It's important to see how things are constructed in real life to apply it to your own scenes and drawings.

    I will definitely be watching and re-watching this video (and series). Perspective is one of those things I keep going back and forth on, where I'll do it okay, then I'll forget it all XD It's not like riding a bike for X'D
    Glad to see ya back, and I hope you had a good break.

    I think you approach was neat and smart. One thing that I would recommend as being very helpful is to delve into what you said about having many VPs into one scene, cause if we take a subject like figure drawing, considering a nice gesture, we won't have just two VPs. However, most books and tutorials, even the best, always treat with the human in a box shape, and immediately go to movement without going too far on how this distorts everything.

    • @megamaster0
      @megamaster0  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a very good point that books gloss over all the time! I am not an expert at it but I will try to tackle it more in future videos where we must place characters in a scene.

    Hi, I don't know if you'll see this comment because it's been a long time since you made these videos... But come on...
    First I would like to congratulate your series of perspective and gesture videos, I have been practicing recently following your teachings and I am making progress in my drawing. But a question has just arisen...
    Regarding the character's height to the scene, how should I correctly measure it according to the vanishing point? (take into account only 1 vp here) Should I mark my character's base in the "street" of the scenario for example? And the height, how can I score 7-8 heads for him in a scenario with 1 vanishing point seen from the front?
    I apologize for my English, and for so many questions. But I'm a little confused about these doubts. Thank you very much teacher!

    • @megamaster0
      @megamaster0  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment.
      Quick tip: make the height of the character relative to something in the scene. For example, if you have a door in the scene ask yourself how tall is your character relative to that. Divide that total height by 8 to start developing your proportions.
      I think one of the books by Andrew Loomis goes more into this if you're interested

    i struggled exactly with the fact that the wanishing points change with differenct angles(until i read that in a book). I still have problem establishing wanishing points on horizon line tho :/.
    Also that means if not all cubes are following the same direction then every cube will have its own points right ?
    I wish youtube did show me your video sooner.

    • @megamaster0
      @megamaster0  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly! Every cube with their own angle will have their own vanishing point👍🏾 It could coincide with another object but experiment and try tracing over images to see how it works in real life!

  • @tutorial4216
    @tutorial4216 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you give me the source for the perfect cube? I thought it is more complicated, needing protractor/set squares. The only method to freehand perfect cube that I know of is the eclipse method.
