sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any help you can give me!
This was beyond helpful, thank you! I'm learning to do environments and rooms for comics, and I've been having trouble with understanding how the camera angles work, and your explanation helped so much.
I'm currently doing these kind of interiors shots and layouts for school project. That's great inspiration and wisdom hehe! Thank you for sharing these videos for free, I'm highly considering buying your book !
thanks Daniel! I'm thinking of starting this series over but totally sci fi themed. Also check out Brother Baston if you haven't seen him, he makes cooler designs than me!
@@moderndayjames Definitely consider this! I think many people will enjoy it and find it useful. As someone who's taking a class at brainstorm school soon, a series like this would be great additional help. Cheers for your work!
this was super helpful thanks! I'm working on a theatre set design for school and was struggling with the relationship between characters and the set (since im not an actor). I think the idea of seeing it as a video game scene will really help me visualize it. THANKS!
This is absolutely perfect, I know its an old video now but thank you so much! I've been struggling to find a way to design the board concept for a board game I'm making, but this video helped a lot!! Thankyou!!
I can't help but comment. You videos have been very informative and extremely helpful. You breakdown your process in very clear and consice manner that make intimidating subjects such as perspective and set design digestable. I'm excited to try out some of the principles you've taught in my own artworks and I look forward to your book! :)
the example of camera angles was very informative and helpful for someone like me who has difficulty understanding the dynamics of perspective. thank you!
This was incredibly helpful, you've made concepts like lighting and how it affects a scene really interesting. I'm excited to see more! (Also, love the music)
Could you make a video explaining perspective terminology please. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it. This video was very helpful and informative. Ty
Your art is amazing. This channel helped reignite my love for drawing which I have unfortunately left behind a few years back because I got too indulged in the internet. Thanks for the videos!
I didn't know your channel until yesterday. It's the 2nd video I'm seeing and it is really amazing! I would like to draw a comic book and maybe one day some concept art for video games. Your explanations are very interesting because environments are important in story telling and I think defining them will now help me to write an interesting scenario from the general idea of the story. If the action takes place in the future it is indispensable to create the world of the story. Watching your video gave me motivation back to keep on my story with a different but so important angle. Again thanks a lot!
I am so glad to find a channel like this!!!! I am in love with this channel. It is exactly what I wanted to learn and know more about!!! Thank you soo much to even exist to create this channel!!
Awesome video! You are always so inspiring and helpful. I am going back to watch some of your perspective videos and cant wait for the book! Keep up updated :D
Holy shit this could work. The only thing I struggle with is object placement, designing the rooms and camera position. So pretty much this video was partially helpful but very helpful at the same time
Hey good video. I'm also working on a world but I'm running into some complexing problems because of the hole idea of my word it's as far as I know totally original down to creation
I have a question that is going to draw me crazy. Which kind of perspective is the one at 05:40 , on the right ? Seems like created by all parallel lines, which is impossible if you study perspective, because all the lines should converge into one point. Please someone in this world answer me x
It is all parallel lines however that is not by any means impossible! The Rate at which parallel lines converge is a result of the lens you use when taking a photo. If the lens is a shorter length (wider angle) than they converge faster, and the longer the length the slower the convergence. This type of perspective is called isometric which is a case where parallel lines are so convergent they never meet. And on a more subjective note, if the perspective seems to work (even if there are mistakes) you can just roll with it :D Sometimes mistakes make the sketch more interesting
he can literally draw ANYTHING

Great to see how something like this comes together. I generally find environments intimidating, but this breaks it down nicely. Thanks for the video.

yooo i was waiting for it
Wouldn't tilting and panning the camera at the same time ( 10:30) induce some 3 point perspective? ( depends on the lens, I suppose)
If you tilt the camera up you can definitely introduce 3 point perspective (I could very well have made a mistake there!)
