Did anyone elses ears perk up when Ib said the only one keep Vanavars shit together was Suzanne? Theres the lunch pin. The keystone. Remove it and it all... Falls... Down!
duncan rae In my opinion after watching the episodes regarding the Camarilla, I believe it's Suzanne that wants control over Los Angeles and is in a way manipulating Vannevar to do it because she believes in authority and control, based on her relationship with Marie Antoinnette and that cultural time in France in the late 1700s.
Carol Smith I had a feeling that she's up to something in this episode. I just assumed it was for the Camarilla. I'm wondering if she is still under Fiorenza's control.
@@Kizzy-qb9si No! Don't think so! Why wouldn't she just take victor or someone in his coterie out and keep the war going? there are much easier ways of assisting the sabbat than talking to Victor and helping him.
The reason Victor is my faw Ventrue vampire character even before Peterson (if anyone know him from a book) is because Victor stows how to play a good Vampire and well. Loved this epilogue.
I love Victor's approach with the Thin-Blood, they are weaker but they are many, they die fast but they reproduce quickly, there can easily be an army of 100/200 in a city, in large numbers with anti-vampire weapons they can eliminate even the oldest and most powerful, I think they can use fire as a weapon more easily than a normal vampire since the beast has less power over them.
And operate in daylight. Sort of super ghouls. Also Eva can raise then to 13th generation and they won't be thin bloods. But using them as cannon fodder is not a sensible option.
Those are Sabbat tactics,.... mass embraced cannon fodder, embrace them, hit their head with shovels, bury them near the enemy, wait till the claw their way out of the ground in a blood frenzy.... shovelheads. But then again, thin bloods can't sire others because of their weak blood potency.
Casual conversation in the quiet room. Jason Carl rolls a bunch of dice Uh oh... Also Jasper is going to be PISSED when he finds out ib is a lasombra and Victor just spilled the beans on his domain and shadow mirror.
Lascombra don't operate at that level do they? It is more bottom up. Ib would go to a court of blood to ask to diabelerise another Lascombra. I dont know how it might work with a Cam like Victor but is is usually about loyalty or benefit to the Clan. Removing Victor would not do much. Removing the Scourge would position Lascombra to have influence in LA. Maybe Ib is being also targeted by the scourge? I think Ib could advance the idea of a "loose cannon" and the need for Lascombra to have a long term plan. Maybe better would be to clandestinely plan for Victor or someone else to remove the second scourge without any Lascombra involvement. When the Lascombra eventually come looking for influence in LA Ib could confide in Victor and come up with a plan to involve them without conflict.
Easy. Raise her up. Give her power. Give her a hunger for it. Then make her choose between Victor and her own power. She picks power, she'll kill Victor. She picks power they will break her and make Victor watch.
That's why I don't trust this "Oh, we're Camarilla now" one damn bit. The Lasombra letting go of their beloved Sword of Caine to join an enemy they've fought for centuries? No, the Cam are being played for suckers and have let their doom right into the house.
@ 21:23 --- "It's not like I can call the prince of Muncie and say; Hey, how you doin'?..". Ah yes, a shout out to the Ol' MET game from Ball State. His brother Tony, ran the Sabbat. While Jay was the Primary Cam ST. Now there's a flashback to 1994 - 1997
uuurgh I have to WAIT for the next epilogue! Amazing storytelling and production, I hope everyone involved knows how much I (and a lot of other people) appreciate this wonderful series :D
Actually, Chaz was murdered first. The club was destroyed as a result. Let's not forget that. Victor and his ilk wanted to be taken seriously and they got their wish. I realize they are the PCs and therefore the "good guys," but they made the first move. I have very little doubt the Camarilla would have attacked them at some point. I am also not saying that Nelli and the rest didn't have good reason to kill Chaz, even though I really miss Mark Meer as Chaz." But don't forget that the Camarilla is responding to the agression of the Anarchs.
Chaz was still after the grove and after Elysium and stuff, shit went down at the Grove but it was for sure started by the sheriff. And then the prince and seneschal broke the rules of Elysium.
I would love to ask Campbell, his honest answer about how it feels to work for vampires. He seems good with it but what does he think when he goes home after a shift?
I love IB! but man I cannot tell if her feelings are real or is she just getting close to then betray 😭 This season has got me not trusting any kindred lol
Ib's friendship with Victor is more deep then what we see. The bonus episode from wondercon showed that Ib is very much Victor's friend, is emotionally invested in their friendship, and she was devastated when she had to leave. Yes Ib was Fiorenza's ghoul and In front of others she plays the stoic professional, but don't forget Victor literally jumped in front of a werewolf for her and this season she went to bat for him when she met with Vanniver & Suzanne. When she is doing her job she's all hard business, but with Victor their bond is Iron.
Gotta love the little touches... The lighting and back pieces for this scene were beyond spectacular. The counter play between Victor and Ib was always one of my personal favorite storylines existing within the chronicle. A smart dodge on the whole Tromeo and Juliet that could have become. (Not to say it wouldn't be an interesting thing to pursue on a side chronicle.) Good epilogue overall on this one!
Ibs Storyarch might well be my favorite out of all the great storylines of these past three seasons. I'm so stoked about how this is gonna turn out. Way better writing than most shows on TV.
Every single time Jason Carl rolled dice while Ib was talking I got so freaking nervous. Who's spying? Please don't get her killed. How did she know they killed Rodrigo, though?
i would have so loved it if victor had place in that secret tunnel for Ib a massive painting of the baron of the valley on the wall. or a painting of both him and her
When Victor mentioned the beckoning, a thought occurred to me. Why is Staus even here? He’s old. Older than everyone else on the entire show. He’s a big picture guy, shouldn’t he be playing 4d magic chess with some ancient entities rather than trying to sort out a territory despite between a man-child prince and a bunch of rebellious neonates not even a century old? I’d think that whatever the hell is drawing the elders east would be much more important to Staus than anything going on in LA. Unless this business with the Laylines is way bigger than we think it is, or if there’s something else going on in LA we don’t know about.
Rue Stahl pretty sure it’s been established that elders can refuse the call, though it takes some effort. I’m more wondering why Straus is resisting the call when whatever is going on east is probably something really important that he’d want to get some eyes on. Again, unless there’s something in LA he thinks is somehow more important.
GOOD question. ;) The Beckoning is dependent on an uncertain combination of Generation, Blood Potency, chronological age, clan, personal willpower, and luck; it's not at all uniform. Strauss might be feeling it strongly and fighting it, or he might not be feeling it at all...yet.
Ok I don't get how Ib could have gotten past Suzanne's mind read if she actually did side with Victor. And also Ib revealed the existence of Mark AND Isaiah! Honestly, I was looking forward to evil Ib and they keep fixing things through the power of friendship lol sigh
It could just be the product of the partially improvised storylines, but they feel very wishy washy about who they make evil and how they characterize them
Victor is great tho, he's legit the most considerate guy from the coterie, I don't get what Ib is on about tbh. :/ He always makes sure everyone is taken care of, idk why he gets so much shit.
"100% of the people we killed came after us first" - Victor That's a complete lie, the Sheriff didn't came after them, he came after the Tremere traitors, Chaz didn't come after them, they literally set him up and assassinated him, not even Rodriguez really came after them he came after Sanchez who Victor claimed wasn't under his protection unless he literally asked for it and when they didn't keep their promise of handing him over and attacked Rodriguez he just kidnapped Jasper and didn't even kill him. But that's the typical anarch mindset "the evil bad camarilla attacked us so we had to strike first and kill them all" Also : I can't believe that no one wants to point out the most obvious reason why a Vampire turns crazy being the Malkavian who literally specialises in making people crazy..... Like Theresse brainwashing the prince is the most obvious and cliched storyline I can think of. Even if we take into consideration that Victor doesn't Theresse is seeing the prince himself it's still the most obvious explanation considering they're at war with each other so why wouldn't the malkavians attack the prince?
Ib, the seasons I've seen he treated you very good, even offered you the embrace. And what story is true about your embrace, the one you gave Vannevar or the one you told Victor? Still don't trust her, but I like her.
Every time Jason rolls, I'm like:
"there's definitely a Nosferatu, listening to ALL OF THIS"
The sheer difference in personality between Ib in Court and Ib with Victor is STARTLING.
Guess in Camarilla court you gotta show a coldheart asshole side. The calmest person in that bit was probably Garrick.
Her background was as a spy, hitter, and soldier. Gotta run the gambit of emotions sometimes to have a cover.

She could have very well have been manipulating him when she mentioned the "not feeling like family" bit to get him to "prove" himself to her with trust, but she could have also have been very genuine in her desire.
I hope she does. This story is in dire need of real consequences, and that's been the case for a loooooooong while.
Okay, popcorn is ready; let's lose ourselves... in a vampire story...
Jason has so many amazing characters! it's a real joy to watch him role play from Kyoko, to Mr. Golden, Campbell, Fiorenza... Abrahams is so smooth. totally a vibe.
Ghouled by a Ventrue for hundreds of years, but ultimately Embraced by a Keeper. Delicious. Morte Ascendo.
I believe they're both sincere. Even so, they both know they can't fully trust each other. And if I know anything about the Great Narrative Forces of the Universe, this means one will eventually be forced to destroy the other, and that will break the survivor.
Well, let's hope they pull back on the GRRM or Steven Moffat pain giving.
I'm calling it right now, archangel is jaspers old ghoulfriend I forgot her name
Chloe
Maybe, since she disappeared after Ava helped her :))
@Bambi Eyes Are you kidding me? That's 100% Becca Scott.
That's been on my top 3 suspects list from day 1. A ghouled journalist wanting bigger, more important stories to report on even at personal risk?
The only question is if she could get access to all the information.
I bet its Elleonore Annabelles Girlfriend from Season one.
Damn its kinda weird seeing home girl alot more emotive than she used to be 😁
Also really weird seeing a damn Ventrue and a Lasombra this nice with each other 🙌
Ib: Vannevar's fucking nuts. He's got this weird obsession with gold.
Victor: We are Ventrue. I mean c'mon. XD
I don't know why but that line made me chuckle a lot more than I thought it would.
TBH, IB didn't tell him about Vannevar wanting to shove the guy full of gold. I think some Roman did that.
@@JnEricsonx Some Roman suffered that. Crassus, when he tried to invade Parthia.
I think ib maybe playing one or both sides. She maybe an agent of the sabbath
Carol Smith I had a feeling that she's up to something in this episode. I just assumed it was for the Camarilla. I'm wondering if she is still under Fiorenza's control.
Its Theresse laying the Dementation whammy on vanavar that has him going bonkers.
Maybe not the best example, what about Julian from KTE?
@@VandalAudi some can! There are 15 generation and 16th in the lore.
@@VandalAudi A select few can manage to pull off an Embrace.
I LOVE IB ❤
And now she is even cooler 😍
Great vignette!
Keep it up
"Sir?"
"Yeah?"
"Miss Ib is here."
"What?!"
Commercial: "let's play raid shadow legends! "
Me: "Ahhhhhhhhh!!!"
Ib being 'emotional' WHAT? Awwww. Love her every time.
i ADORE how Ib brings the best outta this Ventrue hiphop mogul.
💖
one hell of an actress.
also:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ is so! Victor! UGH!
After Ib's heel turn a few episodes ago it's good to see it was a feint.
I just realized... pineapple was Xs safe word.... those texts from X had pineapple emojis.
I would love to see Campbell ask for the embrace in the future.
Carl looks so small compared to Walters!! Jesus, I didn’t realize how big he was until just now lol
Mad props to Victor and Ib for being able to stay so in character while the storyteller is rolling dice menacingly every 3 minutes lol
Casual conversation in the quiet room.
Jason Carl rolls a bunch of dice
Uh oh...
Also Jasper is going to be PISSED when he finds out ib is a lasombra and Victor just spilled the beans on his domain and shadow mirror.
27:51 I call that Campbell really is someone else that already has infiltrated the coterie!
How will Ib's sire and clan elders manipulate Ib to destroy Victor? This is the clan that made the Borgias look like amateurs in politics.
YA KNOW... a point, here. a biggie.
That whole section with Victor and Ib was just amazing.
@ 21:23 --- "It's not like I can call the prince of Muncie and say; Hey, how you doin'?..".
Ah yes, a shout out to the Ol' MET game from Ball State.
I believe at the height, there was what, around 150 people playing?
Here's to Shawn for taking South Bend by Night to College with him.
When he was home, he was the Werewolf ST during the Summer.
OMG!!! IB is my character!!!!
Aevin, an Ex-Special Forces Lasombra!
Awww Victor and Ib melt my heart!
Mine, too. :)
When players acknowledge they are not invincible. When they show fear; that's extra XP.
"So after I heard you were sheriff I'm like cool cool I'm DEAD."
Love how Ib comes in and continues this show's tradition of characters calling out Victor on his bullshit.
Thats the point. You shouldn't trust kindred. They literally are just out for their own self interests
I... I think she's legit guys 😭 I mean yea she'll do what she has to but I think she's telling the truth about caring abt him
Ib's friendship with Victor is more deep then what we see.
Ever notice how Victor *always* has "just one more thing..."
He's a Columbo fan.
Always good to see IB, as ghoul or kindred. Although I still have no real confidence as to the game she is playing.
Well, hopefully, Victor won't get backstabbed.
Wendesday dinner: LA by Night and Bisgetti.
First time watching the series, I just gotta say I looooooove when Jason Carl plays Abrams!
OMG IB! Love IB! Go badass Lasombras.
xKimichi Lasombra are a pretty wicked clan.
@@Mutant_X98 i know right!!
Why was this interaction more romantic than any nelli g and victor have had over the entire series?
Always happy to see Ib. Glad to see she's (theoretically?) still on the side of our coterie.
I’m watching the epilogues at double speed to get as much info as possible before the S4 premiere
Ooo it snuck up on me....
But let's tell a vampire story.
IB gives the best hugs
Ibs Storyarch might well be my favorite out of all the great storylines of these past three seasons. I'm so stoked about how this is gonna turn out.
Way better writing than most shows on TV.
Ib!! Just so happy to see her, I want to hug the stuffing out of her!
Geek & Sundry, good video! Enjoy your Wednesday!
Ib claiming that Victor doesn't care as if he didn't offer to embrace her when he found out she's a century old ghoul and hated it
Every single time Jason Carl rolled dice while Ib was talking I got so freaking nervous. Who's spying? Please don't get her killed. How did she know they killed Rodrigo, though?
I have been WAITING for this moment.
Vivat Lasombra.
Down Boy Down... Lmao..
Enimvero, pulcheritudo eius superat multa (omnia, si fas est) ut alter amandus alteram.
i would have so loved it if victor had place in that secret tunnel for Ib a massive painting of the baron of the valley on the wall. or a painting of both him and her
So...lasombra cast no reflection, yet Ib's makeup is flawless. Granted she is over 100 years old but that is an AMAZING skill!
YES I love Ib good to see her trying to help.
I Love me some Jason Carl playing as Baron Abrahams
love ib, deff wanna see how this turns out!
Phew, Ib was breaking my heart for a minute there
Seems Abrams may have regained some respect for Victor after seeing his response to the Camarilla
"It's... REALLY fuckin' bright in here." Hah. Lasombra humor.
Ib just trade one set of chains for another. I agree with Ib's points on Victor treatment of his friends.
48:24 Yes, just give a secret way in to your enemies. That is TOTALLY not going to bite you in the ass.
Yeah that's right Strauss is Old. Why isn't he feeling the Call?
It could just be the product of the partially improvised storylines, but they feel very wishy washy about who they make evil and how they characterize them
30:07 I LITERALLY WENT "AAAAWWW" OUT LOUD.
Dang Man, I really love these vampire stories. Now I wonder if Jason Carl knows of any Vampire clan quiz's to see which clan you'd be embraced by.
It's really about who are you as a person
I was so w8ing for this today lol D
Ib my girllllll so nice to have u back!
Ib and Victor hug. The entire internet: AWWWWWWW!!!!
wednesday night just became a little darker....ahd hooray for that :D
Victor is great tho, he's legit the most considerate guy from the coterie, I don't get what Ib is on about tbh. :/ He always makes sure everyone is taken care of, idk why he gets so much shit.
I love Ib so much. I want all the best things for her.
"100% of the people we killed came after us first" - Victor
That's a complete lie, the Sheriff didn't came after them, he came after the Tremere traitors, Chaz didn't come after them, they literally set him up and assassinated him, not even Rodriguez really came after them he came after Sanchez who Victor claimed wasn't under his protection unless he literally asked for it and when they didn't keep their promise of handing him over and attacked Rodriguez he just kidnapped Jasper and didn't even kill him.
But that's the typical anarch mindset "the evil bad camarilla attacked us so we had to strike first and kill them all"
Also : I can't believe that no one wants to point out the most obvious reason why a Vampire turns crazy being the Malkavian who literally specialises in making people crazy.....
All caught up. No more binge watching 😥 you mean I have to wait for a new episode?? How will I cope in the meantime??
God if IB turns out evil Friendship and Love are just straight up dead in this world.
Ib, the seasons I've seen he treated you very good, even offered you the embrace.
And what story is true about your embrace, the one you gave Vannevar or the one you told Victor?
Still don't trust her, but I like her.
