- Filmed in 4K 60FPS Videoed in central Birmingham, UK. Pub was an iconic location before its neglect. Video was quick due to it being in a busy thoroughfare and the area being dangerous... I was alone.

The Brewer and Baker was my go to pub back in the late 70s and 80s. Run by Harry and Joan Hill the most fantastic hosts where we had the most fantastic of nights there. It was a place where work colleagues could relax and have a good time, and we did. They were the good old days and I miss them it’s just a shame to see what was a home to many in such a state. Thanks for the video though it brought back many memories.😎🍺🇬🇧
I went in there once on the way to the Banger racing in the early 90s … things seemed a bit more friendly then … 😮

I remember that pub, it was at the top of camp hill. If I remember correctly it was devastated by a fire that resulted in it being abandoned. I used to go there in 1993 when I was working at the homeless centre just down the road. It was a really nice pub to be fair!
@@horatiodebonairepicklehoun1415 Were you working at Holy Trinity Church by any chance?
T
@ Ha yes! I was working at Trinity Church in 1993 but the staff and clients called it the Trinity Centre.. I remember the canteen was underneath the church where the crypt used to be.. The church was converted in the 1980s and they had to remove many of the bodies from the crypt and bury them elsewhere around Birmingham.. Many of those who’d been buried in the crypt were from relatively wealthy Victorian families and as such many of them were buried with personal belongings such as jewellery, pocket watches etc. When the exhumations were taking place , certain undesirables from the local area broke into the crypt and stole some of the valuables from the skeletal remains of the corpses!!
@@horatiodebonairepicklehoun1415 I have always wanted to explore Holy Trinity Church, but I do realise it is difficult in which to enter.
Thank you for the information on Holy Trinity.
