    I'm 39 male, felt weak and "sick" for years. I had problem with concentration, memory, was loosing hair, sweting at nights, no energy for nothing, IBS, I also had slightly higher body temperature and so on. Turns out my thyroid antibody are around 900IU! my vitD is at 17 and that I also have fatty liver. But my thyroid hormons are within range. I was told sooner or later they won't be and I will have to suplements these hormons but it might be in 6 months or 10 years. I was told to suplement vit d and selenium. In 3 months vit d went to 32, antibody droped to 620. But I was also told by the doctor that it is uncurable and it doesn't really matter if it drops as it will never be below limit again 😢 Anyways most if the time I feel much better, not 10 of 10 but let say around 7 and it was around 4-5 before. Also healing my liver probably helped, I eat some antyinflamantory suplements like turmeric and I changed diet, more fruits, vegs, avocado oil, olive oil, chia, fishes, omega 3, black seed oil, cut carbs, etc. and I start some light exercises. Last meal around 17.00. Slowly loosing weight 0.5kg/week and getting back to shape. Hopefully I will stay on the right path, so tired of being tired.

High TSH, Low Vit D, and extremely high antibodies >1000. I started taking vitamin D straight away and just done follow up bloods last week.. and now my TSH & Vitamin D are both normal. I am from Serbia, I have just discovered I have Hashimoto's a few days ago. My immunologist ordered the blood work, specifically vitamin D levels and thyroid hormones and antibodies - just based on a few symptoms I told her I had - allergic rhinitis and dyshidrosis on my palms. She even wrote in the report, before the results from the blood test came back, that she suspects I have Hashimoto's. I am visiting her today for the final tests reading, she is about to prescribe medications and supplements and I am sure, vitamin D will be the first one. I am so glad she knew about this correlation.

    It is better to take K2 with Vit D3. Vit D3 pulls Calcium from digestive tract into your blood and K2 directs Ca to your bones and teeth and away from soft tissues like kidney. Check it out if you can. Mg and Zinc are also important. Strontium helps to keep the Ca in your bones.

    • @policani
      @policani 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you MUST take Vitamin D3 with K2MK7, or it will drive calcium into your soft tissues instead of to your bones. Per above, K2, Magnesium, Zinc, and Stronium are all necessary - and most Americans are Magnesium deficient. Whats worse is most supplements contain the wrong forms of Magnesium and Zinc - don't use the oxide form of these metals.

    • @serenity2032
      @serenity2032 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, you mean the K2 pulls the calcium from the blood. It shouldn't be in the blood because it can cause vascular problems. K1 isn't what you need because it is used for clotting blood, but K2 works.
      Get your Cholecalciferol (D3) levels checked. Keep it over 50, but I like to keep mine at 70-100. Level 67 is good. I take 4000-5000 IU'S daily. It keeps your immune system strong.
      People with a Gall Bladder have a difficult time absorbing Vitamin D3 which is a HORMONE! it's a fat soluble "vitamin" so take it with food.

    Two months ago I had bypass surgery. Before surgery my thyroid TSH was 16. After Surgery, it came to 6.2. Doctors advised me to take 150 mg Thyroxine Tablet. I pointed that my TSH level has decreased to 6.2. Then the doctors gave me 100mg Thyroxine tablet.
    I am not able tolerate cold (Intolerance to cold) 😢.

      My son as well. They put him on low dose levothyroxine.....all his thyroid levels came into range other than his thyroid antibodies. They were very high >1000......after eliminating gluten his antibodies are around 450 after 4 months. I give him vit D, K, fish oil, turmeric, quercetin ( cycle it), selenium, trace minerals, mag glycinate, probiotics. Meat, bone broth, no junk food. He has no symptoms .

      You can take large doses to get up to the 75-100 blood range. No reason to take 2-3 years like he did..also be sure to get Lugol's iodine drops to have the base to make thyroid hormones... 50 mg or 8 drops of the 5%.

    AWESOME. I have had all those symptoms, including DRY SKIN and the 'feeling cold' and feeling sluggish after waking in the morning.
    My DOC NEVER pointed out a Vitamin D connection. He simply stated on the lab requ form "Suspected HypoThyroid".
    I only squeezed by to negate his suspicions after focussing on healthy eating before taking the actual labtest.

    My doctors here in the US told me about the vitamin D deficiency! And I also take magnesium. I was first diagnosed in Colorado, and my doctor in Nevada also knew about the connection of hypothyroidism and vitamin D. You just had an uniformed doctor unfortunately. Glad you are doing better! It’s an awful feeling when things are out of balance!

      VitD & B12 are ignored subject for the majority of docs. And remember nothing can be reversed until D3 comes to the normal value. Severe deficiency if ignored or remains untreated can create cancer & autoimmunity whether thyroid or pcos or any other

      Do research. There are better ways to increase Vit D serum levels that don't involve taking super doses of Vitamin D supplements. For instance, eating more magnesium rich foods, getting more sunlight, and exercising are all good ways to increase Vit D serum levels.

    I've observed the same thing.
    My anti TPO was dropping in numbers and when I stopped taking vitamin D my anti TPO numbers went up. Along with vitamin D I was taking Selenium and Zink which I also stopped. So all in all, it is clear to me that I need to take those supplements.
    Also, vitamin D is an immuno regulator by definition so how can body function properly without that? It just can't. Not sure how Northern Europeans used to manage that except for eating big fish rich in vitamin D. Hopefully my next results will be better!
    Good luck everyone!

    I was the 80's poster child of Hashimoto's. Levothyroxine (Synthroid) was all that was prescribed. Symptoms of lethargy, braid fog, low energy, All of the l aspects of my life that was hard because I worked full time as an RN, I had two small children, and a demanding husband at the time. I went through hell for 20 plus years after doing my own research and what my body needed was liothyronine. Once I started that in addition to my Levothyroxine, everything cleared up and I felt human again. I'm 62 now, and ppl I tell this to can't believe it. They think the most energetic times of their lives were in their 30's to 40's. NOT me. the opposite. With that being said, I've had a wonderful life after age 40 since I added liothyronine. I wish I had the Vit D info available to me back then but there was limited resources and I was very busy with trying to keep up back then. Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

      If you are deficient and vitamin d, then elevating your vitamin d supplements will help. But to bring down your TSH levels, you will have to take thyroid medication. Please consult with your doctor because I am not a doctor and can't give a medical advice. I'm just sharing my personal experience
