Lord Rodrik Forrester is the eldest son of Lord Gregor Forrester and Lady Elissa Forrester. Rodrik is the current head of House Forrester and Lord of Ironrath. When Rodrik was young he often played Monsters and maidens with Namond and Meghan, friends from his childhood and he still remembers growing up around lumberers who were cutting down ironwood trees. As he got older Rodrik was later betrothed to Elaena Glenmore, whose father is lord of House Glenmore and Rillwater Crossing, and often played hide and seek with her in the ironwood grove where she would always hide behind the same tree so Rodrik would find her. Rodrik was also trained from a young age to take on the burden of leadership. He’s a man built for the position, a formidable presence both on and off the battlefield - but when Robb Stark called his banners to war, Rodrik was asked by his father to stay and protect their home, Ironrath. Rodrik refused, riding out into battle with his father and leading the Forrester army into battle with such force that he is now feared among the Lannister soldiers...

This game felt like no matter what I did the storyline would continue down a tedious unsatisfying path.

If people chose Rodrik it's pretty fair to say this man is damn near indestructible. He survives the red wedding, takes multiple beatings form Gryff, take on half the Whitehill army and get wounded countless times and still isn't dead. The man is a god damn tank. Rodrik the Ruined? more like Rodrik the Unrelenting.

He's quite the badass. He will invoke fear in his enemies.
The Red Wedding could not gut him.

This is not how Rodrik's part should be played! Rodrik as new Lord and firstborn must set an example and stand up to Gryff, be always ruthless and and brave so that all will know that coming season 2 he will take back ironwrath and be Lord of the house, remaining loyal to the Starks

The only way I can see it continuing is if it picks up after the final season of the show. The surviving foresters eventually reach Sansa Stark to retake their place as Bannerman.
Here is the way to win: Be Rodrik, Be a total fucking savage, harsh and kill Ludd and win (last lord standing.) Or be asher and kill Ludd so ramsay lets it be Asher vs Gryff

I wasn't expecting this but I kinda felt in love with Rodrick during the story. Usually I hate video game characters because most of them are toxic annoying but not in Rodrick's case. He really gives a good vibe and what I love about him is the fact that he doesn't need muscles. He doesn't need swears. He doesn't need even healthy legs. He is a true good men because this is who he is. His personality is bright and he is tough without saying how tough he is and without saying that men are supposed to be brave and strong. He doesn't need to talk this crap and that's why he is amazing. Too bad that they ruined his story in the end. If he actually would won the war against Ludd and Gryf then I would play this game multiple times just for Rodrick. Easily the best male characters from games. Not some toxic and annoying characters like Arthur Morgan. John Marston. Niko Belic. Victor Vance. Geralt of Rivia. Guys who I am supposed to like because they are what? Moral? Rodrick is moral. Not them and I would never thought that I will say this about male character from games but Rodrick is that good like Bloom from Winx Club is and Bloom is my love so very well Telltale. Too bad that they ruined his life in the end but still I love Rodrick Forester.
Necro reply but I also greatly enjoy Rodriks character! In my opinion though, the best path for him is sacrificing himself for Asher. It shows his true character, his heroism and love for his family.

I reckon in season 2 you will have the choice once taking ironrath back to join Jon and sans as army to retake winter fell as in the show they go to house glover and ironrath is near there and we keep on getting reminded that the Forresters are loyal to the Starks

Other than that I still love coming back to watch this game for some reason.
The story as this man said was amazing, rich and had so much potential and story to be explored. Rodrik's arc is so fucking badass, especially if you kill Ludd. That makes Rodrik the last lord standing, along with killing Ludd, he also killed Harys their strongest soldier in the Whitehill Army, whilst Rodrik as the eldest son still surviving, putting House Forrester in a position ready to fight again. With Asher, it's cool too, to kill Gryff, and have an alliance with Gwyn, which is also rich storytelling for what season 2 could have been like. All in all, i think Rodrik's story is most badass and more compelling, and Asher's interesting and upredictiable. The house just stands better if Ludd is dead, and Rodrik last lord standing.
