I met Brett back in 2019 Crankworx in Whistler, and his smile is so contagious, I’m 52 yrs. young and been biking since the 70’s from BMX motocross and have progressed throughout the years watching and applying everything guys like you Brett, and Remy’ have been showing us, thank you so much for this wonderful channel and maybe one day I’ll be able to ride with you guys

Remy and his girlfriend have just climbed L'Alpe d'Huez, one of the steepest peaks in the French Alps, on their tandem.
"Phew, that was a tough climb," said his girlfriend, leaning over, breathing hard. "That climb was so hard, and we were going so slow, I thought we were never going to make it."
"Yeah, good thing I kept the brakes on," said Remy, "or we'd have slid all the way back down!"

Tippie is may be the nicest human beings I have ever met, his energy is infectious. Every time I ran into him at events or out on the trail he made me feel like I was his best friend, what a legend.

I found it really funny when you said to Tippie "be careful there" as he was walking to the edge of the big rock because in a moment he was going to do the same on the bike, looks like you feel safer on your bike than on your feet 😀

Tippie embodies the best of Mountain Biking, and rides the gnarly line just like the younger guys. I am his age and love him for that. Being a pioneer means he does it first, but at 52 he still has many years to show us how long this can be done. Mick Jagger was asked when he turned 40 how long he could keep it up, he is 77 and still doesn't know the answer. Keep it going Tippie!!

What a joy to see you both sending those slippy steep wet lines. I’d like to see more of this linking up the generations on MTB YT Channels, not just yours Remy. I’m in my 60’s and have ridden badly for ever and when I’m out, my best times are when there’s the younger and the older like me, either in a train or sessioning. And brilliant to meet the guy who put this all on the map 💪

Hey Rémy Métallier! Thanks for this awesome video! Big respect from this dude who grew up in the 1970s in the neighborhood that is closest to the trails you ride in this vid! I got my first Rocky mountain bike in 1985 when I was a bike technician in Whistler! Some spinal issues and back surgery means I can't ride the super steep stuff like you and Brett Tippie are doing here but with the help of an ebike I still ride the shore! Ride ride ride!
