    Remy's channel is now the best for MTB for me. Hard to describe but I just find his video's so immersive. There is something unexpectedly very personally motivating about his footage of extreme lines ... even though many of the features are beyond my pay grade. Every single video is just such a rush

  •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just a little tip: try using a bit "colder" colour temperature, that way different colours will pop out better, making the end result nicer. Not too cold, just the "perfect" white balance. It's still wonderful of course, and i know it's difficult to film in and out of forests, but it could help further improving your videos.

    • @remymetailler
      @remymetailler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point. Right now I film at 5500. What do you suggest?

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@remymetailler Good question. I assume you're using the "gopro color" mode, in that i usually find the 5000K or even as low as 4500 the good option in forests. The grey rocks won't blend in as much as when everything has a bit of a yellowish tint.
      I tend to record with the "flat color" mode, and then do some adjustments (white balance, rgb curves for fine tuning the contrast, and saturation) in editing. This is a bit more work and certainly longer render times, but helps a little in avoiding burned out bright sunspots in forests because of its wider dynamic range.

    It would be my dream to go to BC for a riding vacation one day. The trails there look sooo sick. First I should get used to riding super gnarly stuff though. The trails I usually ride look like kindergarden in comparison 😅

    • @robrider838
      @robrider838 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not all our trails are like the trails shown in these videos. We have single blacks as well :)

    • @MC_5562
      @MC_5562 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robrider838 That sounds very good. Is it easy to find good trails for someone who is not from the region? (Can you find the trails online/by using Apps? ) Here in Germany the state is not supporting mountainbiking (rather fighting it). So there are almost no trails that were designed for MTBing (only some official bike parks) and if there are, they are kept secret because they are illegal. So usually we just ride down alpine hiking paths. So for us, seeing all those sick trails in BC is quite unreal.
