The sixth month on the Jewish civil calendar in the month of Adar. When compared to the Juliam calendar, it runs from late Febr to late March.
Late March conception - late December birth.

The SDA and their like, calls the worship of Christ on "Sun-day" as a Pagan Day of Worship. The self-righteous Pharisees didn't preach that stuff. The Priests of God were *commanded* to worship twice on Sunday, *every Sunday* in the Morning and the evening called *"the DAILY Sacrifice"* ! Exodus 29: 36-42, Numbers 28:1-8, and directly referred to in Dan.8:11, 8:12, 8:13, Daniel 12:11, Hebrews 7:27 .
*Not only is Sunday pure for worship of Christ, so is every other day of the year! Don't let the Pharisees tell you, the Pagans own ANY DAY! Christ is the author of every day of the year! 24/365 Read Genesis 2* God is the author of "all creation" and *EVERY DAY AND EVERY WEEK AND EVERY YEAR*
God has never forbidden his people to worship on Sunday and neither did Christ or the Apostles. *Moreover, Acts 2 is Pentecost Sunday* Pentecost is a sacred commanded day and Sabbath, by God Himself.
*The origin of Sunday worship comes from Heaven. The Angels have always worshiped God on Sunday as much as Saturday. Btw: Moses and the prophets, Christ and the Apostles never taught any day was Pagan. The Adventist have made a doctrine and tradition of men and fable out of the very first day God created in Gen. 2.*
If anyone is interested, in this video I completely cover the "Pagan Day" Propaganda from a scriptural point of view from the Law of Moses itself to the New Testament

@@chucksmith4624 Answer this -- why would a god who wants ALL of his sons and daughters to be "keeping His commandments" only assign the Sabbath just for the Israelite? It's one of the 10 commandments. Have we human become cherry-picking of the law? If God want us "not to kill", why do we think that now God is ok for us to left one of His commandments out. I don't worship the Sabbath. I worship God WITH the Sabbath. It's not tradition of man if we know what God wants and follow that. It's not salvation by works. I don't keep the Sabbath to be saved. I listened to his episode on whether Easter is pagan and this one. I am bothered by the fact that the guest repeatedly claims it’s “okay” to … fill in the blank. He never seems to consider what God wants. It seemed to matter to Jesus. He cleansed the temple. He addressed the issue of worship to the Samaritan woman. Then the churches in Revelation are also evaluated.

I have OCD and can understand the burden of overthinking and the fear of making a mistake. I think people like me easily fall into fundamentalism because we fear mistakes. But put this in God's Hands. Tell Him your fears and how you'd rather do 1000 unnecessary things than forget to do 1 thing.
He is gracious and loving and isn't sitting over you just looking for mistakes. He did everything to give you a chance to spend eternity with Him, He isn't going to turn against you because you made an honest mistake that isn't even mentioned in the Bible.
God tells us not to do things like tarot cards, or worshipping the creation instead of the Creator. He said nothing about how you celebrate His love for you as being anything wrong or sinful. So ask Him to cover you with the Holy Spirit and forgive you if you unknowingly do something wrong, even if your intentions were good.
Put your fear in His loving Hands and let go of it.❤❤❤

Just finished watching Dr. John Barnett's message "WATCH OUT--THE FINAL GLOBAL RELIGION OF SATAN IS FORMING ALL AROUND YOU TODAY!" It is a condensed 45 minute summary of what he taught on church history from a 14 hour seminary lecture series and takes an opposite view of what is being taught here on Cultish. In order to understand the pagan roots one must be both familiar with the historical biblical and early church references on the subject, such as Jeremiah 44 "The queen of heaven" and the Babylonian practices before the church, before Constantine and after the legalization of a paganized form of Christianity. When preparing to witness to Roman Catholic acquaintances I first came across this information, and having attended a funeral mass when one of my Roman Catholic (RCC) acquaintances passed away unexpectedly, it was eye opening to see the pagan influence in practice. Over the years I have been to many funeral services of believers and felt the victory of the cross even in death, but in the Roman Catholic funeral it was the exact opposite. I have never been to such a sad affair and my spirit felt oppressed in that place. At the memorial reception after the service, one of my other RCC acquaintances and his wife were telling me about her trip to see the apparition of the virgin Mary. They pray to her instead of Jesus, she is their intercessor. Mary is prominently depicted at the front of the RCC sanctuary above a large statutory crucifix. It was frightening to see and experience this pagan ritual and I don’t think protestants (or reformed if you prefer) church goers have any idea how bad it is in the RCC church, and some of the influences that were carried over into our own practice of the faith. There is a little more reformation left to be done!

The thing that concerns me much more than stupid bunnies and eggs or jolly old bearded men is the apparent lack of love between both sides of this argument. I know you don't treat your blood relatives this dismissively and scornfully, so how much worse is it to treat our brothers and sisters in the Lord like this? We are family in Jesus, as related as to our own blood relatives.
If you're convinced Christmas, Easter, etc. are pagan, believe that, and be ready to give a defense. If you're convinced they're in remembrance to the Lord, believe that and be ready to give a defense. But don't you DARE treat your sibling in Christ like unbelievers. Does God accuse or condemn us? Then, who are you, human, to accuse and condemn your family. Does God treat us, who've died to Christ and have been raised with Him, as unbelieving idolaters.
Before you debate this issue, prayerfully and thoughtfully answer these questions:
    1) Am I understanding God's word in the context He meant it, or have I let my tradition color my view.
    2) Does my response honor God, not only by demonstrating truth, but doing so in love and grace?
    3) Am I trying to save someone from falling into sin, or just show how smart I am (and, by extension, how superior I am)?
Thus says the Lord through Paul:
"If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
    1 Corinthians 13:3‭-‬7 ESV"

Easter we have a massive egg hunt in our yard.

I don't think he made a good point the entire first episode other than strawmanning and he's already started this video off with another set of trash points about Christmas. He makes a half point on something almost nobody you ever met does or thinks and with the rest of it does a huge disservice to the rest of the average Christians.
His entire first video here was attacking what I can only gather is jehovas witnesses or something or amish...and discounting the actual point real Christians make.
It's not important that Easter or Halloween wasn't ANCIENT pagan....good work on researching it and all....but if it was 300 years old pagan or 1935 pagan....uhhhh...it's still pagan homeboys.
The average Christians are making a point that it's idolatry. That's the obvious point they're making. They aren't hinging any of this on proving that it's origins were thousands of years ago. Just that whenever it began it still is or can be idolatrous and pagan.
I love Easter and I am a Christ follower every day of my life. Ferocious study of Him. But don't tell us that the Easter bunny and eggs and all that are Bible based. Don't tell us that people aren't using seasons and holiday seasons as idols. You are making yourself foolish.
Again there's absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating these days in a Christian way but don't pretend that the days themselves are Christian.
Ask a random kid on trick or treat in a murderers mask from Scream if he has always come out to celebrate Christ or if it's his first time.
There's absolutely nothing nothing wrong with not celebrating certain secular or pagan holidays and the problem with this guy is that he's making a case that there is.

You don't need to justify gift giving by the plain logic of 'who cares if pagans did it in some unrelated festival'; Purim is established in the story of Esther which is set well before the 1st century anyway and the primary practice is the exchanging of gifts. Next people will say we can't do Communion because it has similarities to the Passover meal.

Idolatry? That's debatable but it's not my fight, only God knows the heart
But if I understand Romans 6 and 7 properly.... Its not you that sins, but sin that dwells in you. Even if Holidays are idolatry, if you're doing it in faith then it's not you commiting sin, its the law of sin working in your members causing you to do sinful acts you may not even be aware you are doing or you even hate that you are doing it ( like losing your temper) but inwardly you agree with the law, that it is good. So with your flesh you serve the law of sin and in your spirit you serve God.

As far as the meat sacrificed to idols, Paul was saying to eat it in ignorance would not be sin, but if you are told that the meat was sacrificed to idols, you should not eat it because it would be damaging to your testimony. So, yes, in one way, accepting candy from a witch in ignorance would not harm you at all, but if you know this person is a witch and is practicing evil on Halloween, that candy should be rejected. So, if someone is even dressed as a witch and their house is decorated in a way that is glorifying necromancy, that house should be evangelized and their candy should be rejected.

Ty. Was looking for someone in the comments to address this. But technically, the “holy-day” of Halloween nowadays is ALL about witch craft, death, occult, demons, etc. So the premise of “ignorance” is no longer a valid excuse. And worse, people are actively seeking food from others who advertise witch/demons on their front porch.
Just like watching a ritual on TV doesn’t excuse the audience…watching a ritual on TV is no different than being in the ritual room - both are giving “implied consent” through their passive observation. how could there be a line between “real” rituals and play ones? Mock rituals express the same intent as “real” ones.

Sounds like religious zeal to me. Some folks just try too hard to be outward and inwardly spiritually zealous. Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's day, Zucchini, tomatoes, tamotoes, tamales, Hanukkah, Harmonica.😂😂😂
If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations- “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” (referring to things that all perish as they are used)-according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.
    Colossians 2:20‭-‬23
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

Why are the Jewish Holidays not ample enough for us?
Every one of the Festivals is an example of the four piece relationship between the Man, the Christ, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. All hinging on the Christ, Yeshua and the prophecies manifested in each Festival throughout the year in accordance to his Work to bring Man and Father together again, undone by the First Adam.
I'm not saying this in anger or vindictive attitude.
I'm confused as to why Christmas and "Easter" (the Catholicized form of Passover) are so celebrated, but we brush over the Festivals of Mosaic Law that exemplify Christ in every aspect that has, is, or has yet to be accomplished in this Biblical understanding...
Especially in a Protestant consideration where the objective of Protestantism was two-fold:
    A) Defy and refute the false authority, rule and presumed claim of the Catholic Church being the "One True Church".
    B) To return back to biblical principles, via Sola Scriptura and what it has in wisdom, reason, and theology, rather than the derivative of men presumptuously believing they are "holy men", and the Pope being the "Right hand of God on earth,"
If we are by Sola Scriptura, then reasonably, logically, theologically, we must analyze that Christmas and Easter are not biblically sound.
We can't have this whateverness about it when its question of if we're celebrating man made traditions, or Father made traditions.
The Sabbath and the Festivals were made for man, to reason to man the long awaited Messiah and the rest we will forever find in him. And now they are examples of the Messiah made manifest and His ministry unto us now, and the awaited aspects of His ministry to be fulfilled. How much more traditional, biblically sound, and honoring of the Father, than by recognizing, observing and understanding the Feast of Trumpets, the ACTUAL Sabbath (not Sunday, but Saturday as originally established in Judaic observances before the Catholics removed Jewish influence in (THEIR) Churchianity), the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks (Pentecost), the Passover, the Festival of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and the Festival of Tabernacles...

Amazing the mental gymnastics one has to perform...to try and Christianize something so very pagan. It amazes me. Christ claims to be Truth. There is no Truth in Christmas. Therefore...Christ cannot in any way be a part of it. People just WANT to celebrate Christmas...so they justify it, regardless of what God wants. It is like a father who tells his children to stop running through the house. (Because he knows the dangers of running and falling and getting hurt, when small children do no know). So a few days later, the father catches his children running through the house again, and says, "I thought I told you all to stop running through the house?" So the children reply, "But father...we are not running through the house, we are skipping through the house." There it is plain as day. "There is a way that seemeth right unto man, those ways are the ways of death."

i love Christ and celebrate both Christmas and Easter. However, there is one aspect of how we celebrate that is indeed a sin. Teaching our children about Santa Claus (Satan Claus) and the Easter Bunny does 2 things. #1 it teaches children that it's okay to break God's commandments (Do not lie), so long as it's in the spirit of fun. We're teaching them that it's okay to lie. When Jesus says, "Love God with all your heart", im fairly certain that begins with following the 10 commandments. #2, it teaches children that they cannot trust reality and/or their parents. This might be fine for teaching them to not blindly trust people, but it's the parents job to teach children about God. If Santa and the Easter bunny were lies, then maybe God isn't real either. You see the problem here? Peace

My bf and I "celebrate" Valentine's. Really, for us, it's just another excuse to demonstrate our feelings for each other with certain gestures (buying a card and writing something sappy in it, getting a gift we know the other will appreciate) and to do something we don't often do (nice dinner, outing to someplace unusual and romantic, etc.). We've never even "celebrated" Valentine's on Valentine's Day, actually, and we'll find reasons to do these things even without a holiday to excuse us! Ha-ha-ha!

I feel for Michael, always the big heavy sigh and facepalm when he hears the stupid stuff people say.
I agree with Jeremiah on the topic of Halloween. The entire point of the New Testament is Jesus' triumph over death. That should make Halloween more of a holiday for us, not less! We should have no fear of the boogieman on that day; we should instead stand tall, rejoice and celebrate Christ's triumph over Satan, and show that to the world instead.

@KD Personally, I just like dressing up. 😄 A last-minute costume choice for a Halloween party eight years ago led to an entirely new side gig for me doing costumed appearances at charity events.
One thing that's not mentioned (which is a whole other can of worms, so that's probably a good thing) is how the holiday in the Southwestern US is linked to the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration (usually on Nov. 1), which as I understand it is a Catholic/indigenous religion syncretism.
In the end though, I think Paul's advice is best: One man sees one day as holy, another sees all days alike. Let each man be convinced in his own mind.

@kd7368 agreed. IMO, his flippancy towards Halloween is irresponsible.
The “holy-day” of Halloween nowadays is ALL about witch craft, death, occult, demons, etc. People are actively seeking food from others who advertise witch/demons on their front porch..regardless if it’s “real” or not.
If that house puts a spell on Halloween Candy, we can’t claim ignorance.
Just like watching a ritual on TV doesn’t excuse the audience…watching a ritual on TV is no different than being in the ritual room - both are giving “implied consent” through their passive observation. how could there be a line between “real” rituals and play ones? Mock rituals express the same intent as “real” ones.

Does a tree mean a tree or a wood carving? It’s okay. Go ahead and put that tree up in your house like the pagans do which god also forbade. Ugh. I came across a pastor on TH-cam last week who was telling people that they needed to make sure their churches did NOT do egg hunts. Oddly, he didn't say it was because the eggs were pagan (which I expected, which is why I clicked on it, to see what he had to say and refute him if need be) but just because the holiday was *supposed* to be about celebrating Jesus' resurrection. And I was thinking, on this most amazing of days when a man literally walks out of a grave, we're supposed to celebrate it solemnly, with no "fun" in it whatsoever? We should be jumping up and down for joy, singing, playing games, all sorts of celebratory activities. How exactly do you "celebrate solemnly" anyway? Joyful celebration and solemnity are almost mutually exclusive! Stop being so square!

    • @theyliveyousleep8965
      @theyliveyousleep8965 ปีที่แล้ว

“square?” If you want to ‘jump for joy’ and play silly games…fine. But don’t tell everyone else they SHOULD be too. Time to grow up. Holiness and Godliness aren’t carnival games. There’s nothing more serious than seeking God and His Grace…true contemplation requires utmost respect and solemnity.

    • @UnclePengy
      @UnclePengy ปีที่แล้ว

@@theyliveyousleep8965 Of course I cannot tell you what you "should" do. Nobody can force you to play Kick the Can. Yet is there no room for fun and "carnival games" in your estimation of godliness? Is God so stoic and somber and rigidly serious that He should preclude that? Is "growing up" such a good thing for us to be doing? I don't recall "thou shalt grow up and be hardened, sober stoics" in my Bible. Did He not say instead, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” And again, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." If God's kingdom is a domain of children, should we not start learning again what it is to be reborn and be a child again, including enjoying life and having fun?
“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” - CS Lewis

Yeahh... I can't agree with the majority of this. Especially about the Halloween debate... if we are in Christ, we are protected but those who are not, are susceptible to demonic dangers. And just because we are protected doesn't mean we should do what the world is doing. But rather, as we walk with the holy spirit, he reveals truth to us, giving us understanding of the world we live in, separating us from the world.
1 John 2:15-20 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
