I remember this, he was literally the only striker we had for ages. Wasn't a prolific striker but from the looks of this he was a clinical one, both feet also 👌🏾
Absolutely brilliant player. Joy to watch his desire for the club. That goal at Norwich and the one at Roma stand out, as does the last minute Blackburn one. Shame the injury wrecked his career
A rare gem but a broken leg makes his talent gone and he is not the same again.. very gutted seeing a talent like him just cant do anything with his career
We used to have so many players that are not even half the talents with the players we have now but what separates between them are the fight, desire and passion for the game. We used to have fighters back then man. Rooney, Alan Smith, Scholes, Vidic, Rio, Evra, Park... nowadays players play like they wanna be ballerina
Finally found someone who’s thinking the same way as me. When I see players like Pogba sharing dancing videos on social media after they lost a game my missing to warriors like Alan Smith is getting bigger and bigger..
In the words of Smith: The Manchester United fans want workers. I think he said workers intentionally and not fighters because Bruno is a fighter but he is no worker. Most of our players now are there for the money not as workers but as celebrities. I have no problem if you go to a club only for the money but you better work your a$$ out instead of behave like Pogba or Sancho.
Doesn't it say Alan Smith's goals and assists? Why still complaining. If you need a doctor, i know one of the best ones. Feel free to ask me if you are mentally disabled. I won't charge you, ok.
Putting rivalries aside don't think a single United fan would have a bad word to say about Alan Smith. Class act, top pro who gave everything. Still remember that display against Chelsea where he basically inspired us to win the game.
I think this Alan Smith would do well in the current United team. Is Martial much better than him in that first season he was with us? I don't think so.
That sliding tackle to win the ball and score against Fullham, that really represented what he was about. So sad that's what made him throw himself into the freekick that changed his career, it was amazing to have him on the squad.
Too much competition for places up front with Rooney coming in 2004 And due to him not scoring much and United lack of options in midfield he was playing as central midfielder for later part of his United career
@@invisiblecurious856 it's a joke because there's a football commentator who's also called Alan Smith. Although, the commentator Alan Smith was also a footballer who played as a striker and was damn good for his time anyway, so it's not really a great joke
He was competing with Ruud and Rooney for the striker role. Like Brian McClair years before he was too hard working to simply not play…..and sooooo sir Alex found a new role for him and Smithy didn’t do too bad. The freak injury at Liverpool was what wrecked his career. Shame, I loved him for breaking the hearts of those Leeds scum like King Eric before him not to mention Rio!!!
He was so hard working at United, almost carried the attack when they were hit by injuries
I remember this, he was literally the only striker we had for ages. Wasn't a prolific striker but from the looks of this he was a clinical one, both feet also 👌🏾

Injuries robbed us of the best of this great forward
Leeds lad was unbelievable is ankle injury was that bad it was fused only bloke from leeds i loved ha ha thanks big Alan 👍

I actually got to go to a team camp for my team and he came down to coach us. It was a great experience getting to meet him and be coached!
I’m going to do that soon in Pinehurst he is going to teach me
I remember being 12 years old at that Community Shield goal against Arsenal at Cardiff. Alan Smith always gave it his all for United! 🇾🇪

We have McTominay and Fred who are equivalent to those in the past, but fans want them out
@@BinhNguyen-qm5ji I agree. Both of them are workers but were played in the wrong positions for far too long.
Thank you for making this video
Brilliant lad played for the team wasn’t scared of abuse which ever team he was playing a rare breed 👏
Was really excited when we sign Smith back then as he was a good player for Leeds.
You can never deny his talent on the pitch, very dedicated player is Alan Smith ❤
Honestly you always pick a great video idea, always interesting.. thanks a million!

That challenge at 1:47 would probably earn a booking nowadays lol; he went absolutely flying in
Quite rare to someone scoring after winning a sliding tackle
That goal sums up Smith really! Great determination to win the ball and then the eye for goal
Watched him live England vs USA 2005 friendly
I have never seen a player give his all like him ..,
Good player...always worked hard for team
he was a brilliant player before that injury MOT
Miles better than 10 years of martial. What I’d give to have him at United now. Alpha male
I thought he would be the back after he scored to Roma
Best memories in Manutd :Alan , Saha, Park, Fletcher, Fortune, Giggs, Schooles, Runey and Nistelrooy before CR7 came in
Smith, Saha, Park and Rooney all signed after Ronaldo
I think this Alan Smith would do well in the current United team. Is Martial much better than him in that first season he was with us? I don't think so.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeey cheers for that mate!
Ooooh my Alan !!! he should integrate man utd staff to share his figthting spirit !!!
Still better than any striker Manchester United had in a long time
Underrated passer
Would you make Darren Fletcher please
I always miss Alan Smith.
Karel Poborsky, Louis Saha, Michael Owen, Teddy Sheringham next?
My icon
Nostalgia 👏
killed me when he signed for utd , great player , injury ruined his career

alan smith i rememver him.
Favorite pes 6 player
How come he got so so few goals over those years. Great player
He suffered a horrible injury
Too much competition for places up front with Rooney coming in 2004

El matador !!!
Different desire and class to Pogba
Dang a commentator scored bangers in his time
Was he?

@@duffman18 Cheers Geoff
This player remind me PES6 😁
yo jugaba en el ps2 con school park y smit en la volante de 3 full ataque y arriba cr7 rooney y van nisterlooy o saha
スミス最高にかっこいい
Multi purpose player
Such a shame he got that injury. I thought he offered us so much.
Co-comentator right ?
love you Allan Smith 🍑
He declined too early in his career from top flight football .
His horrific injury was to blame for that
Horrible injury.
Isn't he a commentator
Isn’t he the commentator in fifa 19
That’s the Arsenal player Alan Smith
Omar Alaniz
Fergie playing him as DM was daft. We wanted to see what he could do as a striker.
