It's insane to me lol!! You bring an animal into your home and you can't control it??? It's mind boggling how humans have absolutely NO idea about the animal they bought/rescued other than the fact it was cute!
It is difficult because some dogs just get so weird from being in shelters. I have my (now senior) dog I got over 10 yrs ago from the local pound and she still has some of the bad habits she just can't shake. One thing that did work, which was a complete GAMBLE, was getting another dog (a male, same size), from a regular home, that was naturally chill. It helped a ton with her anxiety. We weren't even able to go to a different room without her losing it, but his cool energy rubbed off and they are fine when we leave. It was a huge risk though, but she was so bad, we had to. She had been returned to the pound several times before we adopted her and I didn't want to have to that. We did a lot of reading though and made sure the dog partner was a right fit for her and us. We made sure they played for a good hour before taking him home. Have had him now 10 yrs as well. Both love each other very much and she'll probably pass away first, of old age, unless someone unexpected happens. Even planned for that by having a cat he loves and knowing he's a lap lover, that'll be okay getting all the attention even if he will miss her. Leaves me the chill dog we can take everywhere, without having to replace him -- that was taken into consideration when we got him, knowing they were about 4-5 yrs apart.
The fact that the dog at the end was named River because she was found in a river…my old cat’s shelter name was Bob because his litter was found bobbing in a lake 🥲
I could sure use some help with one of our dogs who is afraid of everything and sometimes her fear turns aggressive especially toward dogs she doesn’t know or hasn’t known since the dog was young 😢
I think she was on one of the episodes. Can't remember which one. From her reaction, seemed like she wasn't used to a dog crossing that boundary. Double checked: lab mix (it looked like it at least) named Sammy. I thought it was a lab like dog but didn't want to say that without checking because those dogs usually aren't aggressive. If you look up "Victoria Sammy Bite" it's the first one that comes up for TH-cam.
I wanna know how we can make Victoria the queen of this world. I want to know how we can educate and inspire people to lead with love and empathy and understanding and positive reinforcement, instead of hatred, fear, bigotry, misogyny, and group think. I want to know what we can do to improve the lives of our people across the globe How to inspire how to eliminate these hateful laws, seek retribution and punish our people and our children for the rest of their lives just for the drugs they use … just for possession of their own medication. Want to know what we can do to make this world a better place.
7:57 Intense fear is in fact maladaptive. It only causes harm more trauma and stress and disease and illness. I should know. my severe anxiety has caused me cancer and a very young age to afford treatment of any kind
Why are so aggressive dogs running loose ??? Leash leash leash them. I love dogs, got one puppy now. If I met 2 loose like those I would have been very scared and very angry. I would have called the police or animal control. Not allowed in Norway to have dogs loose like that. Danger for others. Not nice at all. Think about other people , put on leash always, especially angry and aggressive dogs. Can demand them put down if attacs
Why own a sight hound!? They’re a sight hound mix, that’s not safe especially when going on a run or a walk! Sight Hounds love to run, let them run, let them do their job! Greyhounds and Whippets are sight hounds, they love to run.
I always find it strange when people who have no control over their dogs just let them run wild outside with no leashes.
First thing I noticed aswell. These women are stunned

Some humans dont realise the damage they do to dogs simply because they truly don't know enough about dogs. It's pretty shameful
Shows the intelligence of the owners
It’s because they really don’t know what they’re doing.
Rescuing is so much work, but so much rewards come from it
