I wish the start of Race 2 would have played out differently - I know Joe had some less than kind words to say about me on his live stream! That's not ruining someone's race. Bad starts happen all the time, so you need to be ready for them. I mean, I'm not quick but something I seem to be good at is my starts. I often make up a place or two. Obviously not enough grunt at the start here. You either get someone not giving the engine enough juice at the start, so it bogs down or giving it too much and lighting up the rear wheels and doesn't bother doing something about it. Great video Chris - love the rF2 content - keep it going. Have been trying a lot of the BTCC myself - but seem to hit a tyre wall after 5 or so laps and the degradation is so severe it's hard to finish cleanly. Did you find it any better with the rear wheel drive?
Yes mate, a lot easier with the RWD! I was exactly the same as you with the FWD… 5-6 laps and the tyres were shredded. RWD was a little more stable. But still made a big effort in race two to brake a little earlier and apply less pressure to avoid lockups. Also, tried to do all my braking in a straight line, before turning into the corner.
Glad the fireball gave you a good video. Shame it wasn't the same feeling being involved. I was the bmw unfortunately side on and getting hit left right and center. Yeah I thought exactly the same. There was lots of room to go out around me, either to the left or the right. We’re right at the back of the grid, so it’s not like the track is crowded. Or if you can’t swerve out, you’ve just gotta lift off the gas and stay behind - which is exactly what I did in race one when the guy in front was slower starting. I was still disappointed to ruin someone else’s race though, I hate it when that happens. Really eventful races though! Cheers for watching.

Yeah, I do seem to land on some pretty crazy grids. It might be that rF2 is having a sudden boom with its LFM inclusion, so there are a lot of new racers with a lot of speed but a bit less awareness. My experiences in iRacing have made me quite good at anticipating danger, but it’s not always fun when it’s safer to let someone past rather than risk having them crash into you. The driving experience in rF2 is top notch, fantastic physics and FFB. When you start at the back then that is the risk you take. Maybe he should have qualified higher up 😃. These things happen
@@nmp-8520 On his stream, he said “well, I’m at the back of the grid but at least I won’t get punted”. Seconds later, and I’m sliding right into him 🤦🏻♂️ Poor guy. Sadly it’s just one of those things that happen, hopefully he’ll be cool when he’s calmed down 🤣 It’s my bad for not getting a faster launch, but I do feel the guy behind should have gone around me (or just lifted off the gas to avoid hitting me, like I did in race one when the guy in front was slower off the start). It’s all a learning experience!
13:25 is some comedy gold
Haha yes, I almost missed it as I was ready to skip on to the next highlight. Rejoin of the Year award contender, right there
Way 2 early Chris 💯🎉😜 but I'm up now..
Haha I did wonder if I might have been a bit early for you today! 🤣
@@chrisrogerssimracing I'm the worst sub u have. Did u see trucks are now on ranked racing.? Sry I didn't manage to make a private server. It's in Germany and they are having issues at the moment...
Just wondering, is that a hud a mod because I don’t see that hud as an option in rfactor 2.
Yes mate, this is the RaceLab overlay. I just use the RaceLab relative board in the bottom left (plus the radar and flags). Then it frees up the rF2 hud to display the tyre wear all the time
Ok thank you
You really should look into real life commentary. You're so good at it dude.
Ahh thank you mate, that’s very kind of you to say 😃
After watching this I will only race against the AI 😂😂
Hahaha don’t let my chaotic videos put you off 🤣
McCormack though Chris 🤷🏻♂️🤭😂😂
I’m just grateful I survived to make the video 🤣
Some crazy rejoins but that was the craziest. You nearly laughed but stayed professional 😂
I don't know if it's simply because you're having bad luck with the lobbies you're in, but having watched several of your videos it surely looks like rFactor 2 has some of the most incompetent players of all online racing sims. I really like racing online, but this doesn't look enjoyable at all to me.
But yeah, I’m looking forward to when I can have a proper clean battle with someone, rather than just gaining positions when people crash out 🤞
Ecactly, don’t forget there’s a lot of players discovering rf2, the cars and tracks
Races will be more clean in a few times
I have never seen a fire in Rfactor 2. That's cool.
Yeah it’s a great visual. It’s not happened in another rF2 race for me since this one!
