Great combos and really useful to carry into sparring. Any newbies though be careful with the elbows!! Can easily go wrong when you're getting carried away!
Just an idea wouldnt be a better idea to go for the head (on the counter kick) since muay Thai fighters tend to swing there arms. And aswell it would do more damage to the head through a arm block than to the body through an arm block
And too, it would be great if he'd cover his jaw in his stance as well as when he kicks and punches. I train and I know that would be an easy knockout. Also I wish his back foot wouldn't be flat on the ground, he needs to be on the ball of his back foot. The guy has a lot of torque though, thus he has a lot of power in his moves.
Hello, I speak of Brazil, unfortunately I am not fluent in English and the videos of the channel can only capture what is busy, someone here in good soul could scan everything that the Master speaks? I think there are several tips so I could translate the dictionary and pass some things to my students, thank you.
I was thinking the exact same thing. It would be an easy knockout because he isn't covering his jaw. Plus his back foot is flat on the ground. I know where I train, our instructor always says to stay on the ball of the foot.
You never trained in your life stop talking. His gaurd is low ebcause hes not sparring or fighting hes doing pad work and a high gaurd isnt always needed.
4:31 Pad holder is not even throwing the roundhouse with correct form. Proper technique is to step out not forward when throwing a body roundhouse. Just mentioning this because i think it will affect the counter.
Yul-Rahim Zaman 1.10 Buakaw th-cam.com/video/yJGSTytWl64/w-d-xo.html stepping forward not to the side The thing about being to anal about technique is that you find it sometimes hinders your performance, doing everything by the book can alter a fight in a heartbeat I agree .. you should step through when kicking.. IF the opponent is in range and you can smash through him, but if he is out of range then you MUST step forward to gain the ground, not all techniques are thrown full power , some are thrown lighter and without stepping through in order to draw a reaction that can be countered for example 👍
@@hansonmarks3775 little bit different when the average fighter does it and when buakaw does it. After 300+ fights I'm sure he's able to do lots that isn't by the book but on average you would step out to throw the roundhouse to get most power and avoid counters at the same time. Also it is quite difficult to check and return off a full power kick after checking it. Not impossible of course, many have done it. Just saying it's far easier to drill this then actually do it in the ring or cage.
This was brilliant. Never give the opponent a chance to reset. Love it!
For sure, Robin has picked a great topic to cover here and does an excellent job putting it across!
