this was very helpful- ive been trying to do this for a year and there were no good tutorials for how to do it. THIS HELPED SO MUCH- and the tutorial was very simplified, as it should, compared to other tutorials making it seem much more complicated than it really is

Definitely a fun one pulling off. The difference I do it is the lead leg in south paw I take just a small step back onto the ball of my lead foot and spin from that then leap from the lead foot and throw the roundhouse. Helps fake it being a side kick and then leap into the roundhouse a little faster.

A good 14 years ago, I was popping those off easily when I was training for MMA. (Not anything like Mr Thompson, here. I... made some mistakes, so I'm a never was, and he's doing the thing. Props!) Just getting into it again for funsies, and I gotta say, it's awkward.
But I guess keeping up on it will fix that.

How about show us a Jump 540 Double Roundhouse Kick next?
You do a normal jumping roundhouse (180° rotation), then spin around an extra 360 degrees while still in midair to hit a second roundhouse kick. You need to use kicking pads instead of a heavy bag so that your momentum doesn't get stopped.
I've been working on this kick and I almost have it, but it requires so much hip rotation and core strength.
A standard 540 kick is just an angled tornado kick but you land with the kicking leg right? I could never picture anyone actually pulling it off. It seems like hitting someone with it would halt your momentum as you're completely airborne and have no base- so it would prevent you from actually landing it. Unless you aim to like maybe just graze the chin, or kick someone's cigarette out of their mouth 😆
Doesn't seem even worth trying lol. My all time favorite is 720 though. Such a beautiful looking kick.

I have a QUESTION for the WONDERBOY. . Do you get the *feeling right before the perfect kick is landed ? Like a perfect putt or drive or homerun/nssketball.. like the instant that you move you know its lights out connection.
Do you do anything for flexibility? I have some power in my kicks, but am still not the most flexible person so I have to stick with body shots. I'm working on stretching, but was wondering if you had any pointers?
