it is a nice kit,. I love to buy that kit. However one word of advice DO NOT REMOVE ALL THE PARTS FROM ALL THE BRANCHES YOU ARE NOT GOING TO KNOW WHERE ALL THE APRTS WILL GO this is simple TAKE WHAT IS NEEDED FOR ONE STAGE AT A TIME.. your not going to get lost. There you have it remove what is needed for one stage at a time not all at once there you have it GOOD LUCK
Awesome, your video clearly shows that these pre-painted kits can also be fun to build and lovely to admire once you're done. Thanks for sharing with us all Jun.
Beautiful job as always on the build. Its a shame they dont include the full engine with the kit. It would be nice to display it with the hood up. Take care
It's an odd decision for sure, some versions of the AE86 kit have the engine and engine bay detail sprue and others don't...and it's not like it's a price point thing either IMO. I got the N2 and the red sprinter kit, one has the engine and the other has the body kit and two sets of wheels and where I got them from there was like a dollars worth of difference in the price between the two.
An icon! These pre-painted kits come out quite nice. Do you ever miss the painting portion when building these Jun, or is it a nice change of pace to just assemble and go?
This is really nice build details, the biggest problem with all this plastic model kit, is they are not durable and fragile enough, really easy to damage when drop or mishandling, that's why i stop building any plastic model kit because of this issue. also my family always not respected my item, keep touching all my model kit and some of it was gone or throw away damage.
I ordered this kit, and this video is very helpful. Also not the biggest fan of painting, i think I'll have more succes finishing this as a first build 😂
The Aoshima Toyota 86 is one of the best kits out there. I have built dozens of variations including Takuni's car. I have an original Toyota GTS painted in the two tone panda colors but I notice the kit's tires are a size too big. If Aoshima corrects this issue the car will be perfect!
It's a great introduction to scale modeling for the beginner, or it's cool as is. Not having a true motor, which is what makes this car great, is a sin.
i got the TRD version and i screwed up the paint so i applied some rust piant with iron wool to make it look like an abandoned missile at Ebisu circuit painted purple with a broken rear light and paint damage
I really like this model, the video is very interesting, I also bought the model myself, assembled it and posted it on youtube but few people watched it. 😭😭
I am curious, you use your right hand for gluing but you put the glue on the left side of your work space meaning you have to reach over all your work. Don't know about you but I find the more I have to reach over my work, the more likely I will knock something over creating a self made disaster. Any reason you don't put the glue on the right side for easier access? Maybe it is for the dramatic tension of the video?🤔
I used to place my super glue on the right side before, thinking it’s more convenient(and it is) but more than once I glued my arm or sleeve to it while reaching over to get parts or tools(and sometimes I put parts over the glue without realizing it) By placing it on the left I am more aware of its location, that way I don’t accidentally get glue on things that aren’t supposed to. I also close the cap tight on my Tamiya’s cement after every use now.(I knocked one over when the cap was not shut before…)🥲Just personal preference.
@@JunsMiniGarage I completely understand all of this and have done many of the same things myself. I’m still stubborn tho and put the glue on the right side. I do try and keep it higher on the mat so my arm doesn’t rest on it any longer but yeah, I feel all those incidents. 🤣
what are the keywords for when you're looking for kits like this? i'm interested in cars with all these suspension parts for gluing together, not necessarily pre-painted
Most of these plastic models produced by Tamiya and Aoshima will include detailed suspension parts. The newer ones have many individual parts, too. Try using key words such as 1/24, Tamiya, Aoshima, and the model of cars you wish to build and you should be able to find them.👍
Try searching “Aoshima license plate maker” and you should be able to find the web. I created mine on “Aoshima-car”. But you have to convert the language to Japanese on the website to be able to create Japanese license plates.👍
I built a few of these cars so I know how many parts there are and where they go. But if it’s your first model kit then I won’t recommend doing what I do. It’s better to follow instructions.👍
This model kit are sold out everywhere. Aoshima has no plan to restock it and it is an odd decision. They should know that it is sold out. I tried to find this kit in Akihabara earlier in this year and I couldn't find it! Also how do you make this license plate? I just print it with ink jet printer?
I created the license plate on Aoshima’s license plate maker website(Aoshima-car)then I printed it out with an inkjet printer. You have to change the language setting to Japanese on their website, otherwise it will only allow you to make European plates.
The product is not very detailed, yes. I was disappointed that every part relies on glue, and the doors and hood cannot be opened. If somehow the inside gets dirty from dew or mold, it will be retired.
I understand the type of video, but it's very boring cut all packs, cut all peaces, etc... I like the organization, the plans captured, the detail, but maybe if you avoid the boring parts it's a lot more enjoyable... Just an appreciation ;) However, very nice video, 9/10!

It’s done for “ASMR” purposes. You know…to get more views. Because we can’t just build a model to show our skills
LOL Real men don't read instructions...
You just made my day my friend!!! Thank you
And i really like when you cut bags and pieces
Vid was too relaxing fell asleep in the middle of it
i enjoy the no commentary videos much more :)

Thank you very much Karl.🙏
i have Pre-Painted AE86 Vol.1 version from aoshima and i love this model
I don't care what others say. I like when you talk and also when you play lofi music, but mostly I like listening to you talk about what you're doing.

I don’t miss the painting part at allllll😆I wish all model cars came pre painted.😂(Aoshima are you listening??😏)
@@JunsMiniGarage 🤣 fair enough!
@@JunsMiniGarage Not me, I love the whole bit. This kit is a good introduction to scale modeling.
That’s a fantastic little kit.

Very good bro
Awesome kit, only problem is, its discontinued so we cant buy it
Love your ASMR vid!But you need a sharper scissor!😉
Espectacular 😊😊
i used to build this kit but not the pre-painted one, im not satisfied with the result. I should get this pre-painted kit
Nice work 🤜🤛
I like this👏👏👏
"Real men don't read instructions"
proceeds to cut open the bags with scissors instead of tearing them open bare-handed like a real man would
Takumi !!!!!!!
Goated
Cool
Hi, congrats first of all. I m planning to buy this kit, can you share please which glue you use? Thank you
I mostly used BSI super glue for assembly.👍
Nice build! Btw, do you use a mask/respirator when applying the glue? That stuff is toxic. 😐

no panel lining the doors? any seamlines on the body for this kit?

would of been cooler if it wuz snap no gluz
It will be great if it’s snap fit like Gunpla. I think they are starting to roll out some 1/24 snap fit models this year.
