Diddy Kong's instrument here is either a keyboard of some sort (like a clavichord), or maybe a type of electric guitar.
Dogman15 I know Krunch's instrument theme is an electric guitar, but that clearly cannot be it for Diddy Kong's instrument theme. Now, about the keyboard being a clavichord for Diddy Kong's instrument theme, are you absolutely sure?

There's more than one kind of electric guitar, and different settings for them. Within General MIDI, there are at least five different kinds of/sounds for an electric guitar. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI#Guitar As for what I said Diddy Kong's instrument on the character selection is, it's just a guess. A thought popped into my head about a Diddy Kong Racing sequel that's like MK Double Dash where there are teams of two characters.
The roster: Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong, Mario and Luigi, Banjo and Kazooie, Timber and Pipsy, Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong and Chunky Kong, Conker and Berri, Krunch and King K.Rool, Cranky Kong and Wrinkly Kong, and T.T. and Taj

I loved this game especially this melody. It's so peaceful. My fave characters were Banjo and Conker. I used Pipsy and Diddy sometimes too.

i know this may sound stupid but when miyamoto said nintendo owned all donkey kong related characters wouldn't that mean banjo and conker should be nintendo's characters. since this is there first appearance which is a donkey kong related game.
Microsoft bought Rare Ware, who owned the rights to Banjo and Conker games.
Rare were allowed to make DK games as long as they stayed with them Nintendo could still make DK games too. Rare left Nintendo and since Banjo and Conker were created by Rare they left DK with Nintendo

For an official new game made by fans for fans, I think that would be awesome. For a fan made game, though I never really play those in general, I would be up for it.

can someone please tell me what instrument krunch's theme has and what instrument T.T's theme has?
Krunch's is a stylised Electric Guitar, if I'm hearing it right, and TT's is an electric organ without a doubt.
Why didn't they put Kazooie in and tak Banjo out in the Ds ver.
Krunch is from DK, Banjo is from banjo kazooie, Conquer is from Conquers bad fur day, and tip top is from the game itself.
Everyone else, mmm, dunno.
Tiptup was later used in Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy is also from DK, and Timber, Pipsy, Bumper, Drumstick and T.T are exclusive to this game only.
T.T.'s Theme is so underwhelming...
