FUNFACT: You do not need a background check or a permit or license to own a gun made before, or modeled after a gun made before, 1899, which includes things such as flintlocks, percussion cap, and matchlock weapons. These are legally not considered firearms. You can even buy and have them shipped directly to your house without need for filing a 4473. They are considered "antiques". Also of interest, is that felons are allowed to purchase, obtain, and possess these weapons as well.

Or he's just another idiot selling guns on Snapchat? Gun folk tend to either follow the law to the tee, or they openly flaunt them thinking since they're one of the "good guys with guns" and "support the police", that they won't get hit a stack of felonies. We wouldn't have so many issues with guns in this country if the latter wasn't the majority. The ATF isn't really interested in entrapping a guy buying a gun in a way he thinks or is told is legal, they're interested in that guy selling the guns on Snapchat...He's more likely to be criminally connected, up and down stream, than glowy.

My mom applied for a loan online. Turned out to be some scammers. (She's not quite as open eye'd about the level of shit we've sunken into as I am, she's a wonderful person though, that deserves far better than me for a son) So these thieves end up taking something in the ballpark of 5k off her card. She calls the bank, or the bank finds out somehow, I'm not too clear on whether she reported it or they just knew, and they lock the account two days before my sisters check from work goes on there. We have bills due, my sister has a house payment, etc. She has her card set up so the bills come off the card automatically. So while the card is locked, she can't get any money off the card, and the people she owes money to are repeatedly attempting to get their money. Every time they do, USAA, the bank, charges my sister some kind of overdraft fee or whatever. In the end, they end up with her whole check. No bills got paid, we almost lost the house... they didn't give a shit. Some criminals, did some crime. The bank, stole money from my sister to pay for it. Justice is a hell of a drug.

I had that thought but was thinking, what it by watching it and through algorithms you would get red flagged into a secret phycological profiling type system (sort of how a social scoring type system might work) and if and as you got flagged for future interests that you click on to watch, purchase, etc it would build a kind of "false" phycological criminal risk profile with the Feds and after you reached a certain criteria you might be put under a technology or physical surveillance program baiting you with all sorts of attractive and enticing little opportunities that might be extremely difficult to resist even for someone who is typically a law abiding citizen especially the way this economy is right now🤔?????? Or just maybe this already exists??? Now this fantastical thought that briefly came to my mind isn't a product of paranoia or conspiracy theories or any sort of criminally active imagination of my own. It is a product that comes from a mind that for many years has been subjected to over and over and have become more and more aware of countless acts of criminal activity, corruption and dishonesty by our own federal and state governments and federal law enforcement agencies as well as other agencies. It is created by them that I have become extremely untrusting of them. 😞

Netgear routers are honeypots. Their EULA is nuts. They make you check a box stating you read and understand it before proceeding with setup. They basically say they have all the rights in the relationship, and you, the lowly end user, have all of the obligations and that if there are any problems you agree to arbitration and that you can't sue them. They also have a data collection policy that is obscene.
At the end, they state that if you do not agree to their terms you are not to use the product, but return it to place of purchase. lol
This is for a router which I should be confident is a totally private piece of hardware that I own after I purchase with no worry of privacy issues.
It went back immediately. The genpop is so ignorant and uncaring when it comes to this that they just check the box and continue submitting to their corporate and government overlords. As long as they think they are good little boys and girls and have "nothing to hide" anyways AND they keep getting their dopamine hits from their favorite device/social media platform.
Oh, and as soon as I connected the netgear router via LAN port to my internet connected laptop for configuration, the web browser I had up started warning that previously loaded pages were trying to connect to some weird cloud front server URL.

However the cloud website redirect might have been cloudflare stuff and your router reconnecting you to your webpages with the new dns and ip the router provided. Netgear still sucks, and im pretty sure they purposefully slow down routers after time to make you pay for a new one or some other way to squeeze money out of you.

Plus it's unlikely any obvious commits would be made to an open source project, especially anything important. It's more likely that they find vulnerabilities already present and focus on that. Thankfully with open source projects, these can get patched quicker. But that's part of the problem with dependencies nowadays, since if you're stuck on an old dependency, you're kind of fucked, whether the project itself is open or closed source.
This is the problem with most of his videos lately, they're just kind of generic schizoposting. The only point that's relevant is that companies can and will take your data, so don't trust anything with a eula. That's about it. The feds aren't interested in people that aren't criminals unless they're journalists, hacktivists, etc., or explicitly criminals. Lil anon with his edgy political beliefs and collection of pepes and Elon musk image macros isn't on their radar, even if he really wants to think he's important enough to be. Or someone who downloads music or movies; unless you run the site, the only people who care are the industry racketeers. Frankly, this video seems to be targeting people dealing in weapons, drugs, and a certain one topping pizza. When I meet people *personally* concerned about honey traps or other similar issues, I tend to distance myself...don't want to be at their house if they're v&...or when they go off their meds.

You gotta keep an eye on the ones you do use. Signal for example. I gave up using it. Too many red flags. It has closed source SW and some of the messages were used by the prosecution. about the same time the CEO stepped down. If they weren't a honeypot all along it sounds like they are playing ball.

You could probably add to that, dealing with people who are idiots drawing attention of the authorities and will turn over all their information including interactions with you to the popo.
Just avoiding dodgy people or things in general is good advice.
One example, someone asking you to post a prohibited item to a foreign country, that's someone scoping you out (possibly feds) to commit illegal activity. Doing the wrong thing is not worth the short term gains.

I love and trust my government which is totally not derived from the Latin "Guvernare mentis" literally translating to "mind control" :)

    • @AV9000x
      @AV9000x ปีที่แล้ว +2

The "-ment" part of "Goverment" is just a way to turn a verb, "Govern", into a noun "Government".
"Govern" does come from "Guvernare", and does mean control, but that is because the role of the Government is to control people.

the typical street cop you interact with is going to have an average IQ. Not because "well duh if you average all the IQs, its gonna be average"
no, it because the more intelligent cops would be rejected from street cop duty because they'd "get too bored" according to the selection process
