A good example would be Trump going to jail for some of the accusations he is facing. Maybe he did something but if he is not runnind this year, he would not face such a hunt. The motivation to put Trump in jail is political. The second group is "imported". A good example is Navalny. Somebody paid from abroad to infuence russian politics. And if you are paid from abroad, maybe you are doing politics, which should be "safe", but at the same time you are helping external power. And you should be punished for this. I remember political prisoners in the Czechoslovakia in the time of communists. Yea, we had some "homemade" prisoners. You publicly criticised the Party, you got your punishment. And we had "imported" disidents. Those paid from abroad. Maybe you know Havel. He was well paid for protesting. And he was well rewarded after. And what is also important, when Havel got from jail to be the president, he still served his western sponsors, putting their interest first.

The word dissident is the American euphemism for the word traitor. Russia has many American dissidents under its protection. Whatever defeats global liberalism, I support. Whatever defeats hegemonic designs, including proxy wars, I support. Why wasn't Gonzalo Lira repatriated when he was alive and healthy? His death was murder via a proxy. Washington has often employed this modus operandi.
