I even started my YT channel and its about me saving and documenting my journey of moving there. I have become so obsessed with trying to hurry up and move there. I am in the process of looking for work there. Im 26 from Tucson, AZ and i just want to thank you for sharing the way you view this beautiful island. Iceland from your point of view has had me intrigued since i started watching you about 9 months ago. You show Iceland in such a beautiful way that makes me even more drawn here. I cant wait to be there. I cant wait to get out of here and start my life in Iceland!

Wauw, i remember being in Blondus last year. It waw so peaceful and beautiful. However, this mountain pass and its surroundings are new to me. This definitely goes on my must-visit list. Am considering purchasing a drone as well 😊. So many amazing views. Great video,Jan 👍🏻

Hi Jan. "You know it's windy when the waterfalls are flowing in the opposite direction !!" I've read several "History of the World" books. Many of them have entire chapters on Iceland and Greenland. When you go to the areas sparsely populated and far from "civilization" as it seems, you begin the see in real time, what it must have looked like in centuries past. And one can imagine the successes and failures of the peoples who were there at those times in history. And also how difficult it was for them, seeing it today, in real time. Very interesting for sure. I've been to St. John's NF on visits. And there have been groundings of HUGE icebergs from Greenland that populate the waters around the island.
Hello Jeremy, thank you for sharing! It for sure is my favourite way to travel here, just exploring these hidden parts of the island. Living in the cabin in the mountains here, I thought I was quite isolated, but after visiting Skagi, it's still incomparable as there're at least towns here where I live just few minutes drive away. There. it was a true countryside haha! I heard Newfoundland is beautiful, and with icebergs it must have been an amazing experience. I hope we will see some of those here again soon.

Is there any way to bring parents after settling? My parents are less than 55 years old. But the requirement is they must be 67+ years old. Can they get any type of resident permit if I study and continue to stay?
Iceland... totally overrun by obnoxious, loud and inconsiderate people. I wasted two weeks of my time and money going there because so many people said how great it was and hated it. Wished I would've rather gone back to Norway where I had my peace and quiet while I was there and no issues taken photos. Also the people were a lot friendlier, a lot more possibilities to pull over and take pictures, amazing landscapes and in the end way cheaper.
sorry to hear you had this experience. I understand how this could happen and unfortunately that's usually the reality when you only visit the most touristy places..where in Iceland did you travel?
Generalizing doesn't explain much though. I mean to state ALL of Iceland, just statistically, isn't possible. That's not suggest your experiences didn't make you happy. But, it's no way the entire country is bad. I was there a for 2 weeks (20/9/24-4/10/24). We did the ring and stayed at a different place every night. I was able to learn a lot about people. I'm a Black man from the United States. I had some expectations. Socially it's day and night. But, after a few adjustments to MY outlook I had an incredible time and better understanding. And everyone I came across were courteous and kind. Were they outgoing like here in the States? Not everyone. A few though. But, I also realized that I wasn't in their downtown/city area. That's where it reminds me of the States! Lol Though I'm not from there I'm sorry you had a bad time. But, things to consider would be the time of year you went (we went intentionally to avoid the tourist season) and where you went. I had an incredible time. But, that's MY experience. Wish you well in your future travels. ✌🏾
@@LokiDWolf-69 funny thing, we actually went the same time and to call this an off season is a joke. At the Seljalandsfoss during that hour I was there, there were 8 huge full tour buses, 6 smaller sightseeing tour buses, plus the povs and campers, so totally overrun with tourists and their cell phone photographers who don't give a crap about people and their tripods and will run stuff over, get in front of you, even though you've been sitting there forever already trying to get a shot, 'cause they're so much more important than anyone else. It's a very aggravating place and EVERY single spot was just like that, wether it was Diamond Beach, Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, Vesterhorn it didn't matter where you went, hundreds of people everywhere, so totally not worth it. Oh and to call people from the states outgoing is to funny to me, fake was probably the word you're looking for.

I think it's worth it :) I think it's ok for people to just do the ring road on the first trip but then explore more off the ring road on future trips

Honestly I have no idea, you should probably talk to immigration. I'm sure there's a way, but have no expertise in that.
