I want to congratulate you. You have accomplished what I have wanted to accomplish since 2011. I have been wanting to create livestreamed tailoring tutorials, and have a first-person-view shot from my head, so people can see what I am doing as though they are looking through my own eyes. It's taken 10 years to get to this point. I am so glad there is an acceptable array of hardware that makes it possible.
What's crazy is how much modding needs to be done for something so simple. It's insane that someone has not capitalized on this model and created a one-piece solution to do all this.
I guess this is now possible. Quik app > Control gopro > Go live > RTMP. In OBS you can set the RTMP as source.

I just found this video because I want to start doing the same type of streaming but I want to know, how do you do the voice commands to switch cameras? What software do you use to do that? Also, WELL DONE SIR!!!! This is a killer setup & I'm stoked on your channel. Nice set up! I am looking to stream in the outdoors with GoPro. I do kayak fishing and I would like to connect two GoPros and stream my fishing adventures. Each camera display different areas of the kayak, one on the bow facing me and the other one from the stern facing the bow. It will require internet connection which I can get from my mobile device and power which I do have and can record up to 10 hours. The situation here is that I cannot take my iMac with me to use OBS. Do you know of any solution where I can sinc two GoPros, control both from my cel phone and stream? The objective is to stream and switch from one camera to the other just as we do with OBS but it must be wireless. By the way I use Restream. Thank you buddy.
Could this set up be used with two GoPros Instead of using the pc to host? I am assuming I would need a 4G dongle to provide the GoPro with network connection also would I be able to switch between GoPros ?

Great tutorial!! My hero 9 will not simultaneously charge and live stream video, do you run into this? Assuming not if you have a power bank attached.
I would like to try that setup to run to my laptop so I can put the GoPro on my son’s helmet on he’s quad bike and livestream it. But at this time really cart afford it. Maybe on day in the future. But thank you for letting me know it is possible. 😮

So you keep your pc on and how does the GoPro get internet? I want to go Kayak fishing but I will require internet to stream on the go pro obviously. So will the pc provide internet for my go pro or will it still need to be connected to a hotspot? IF not then my phone with 5G internet will be my best option. Go reciever not hooked up to the actual media mod, so are you doing audio totally not with the gopro (I think so)

Look into a dtap battery option off the transmitter battery. Could possibly use one battery to power transmitter and gopro with another dtap cord. Bye bye anker.

What would be the best way to get a live view from the gopro to a monitor say onboard a boat (So gopro on one boat and monitor on another so i have a live view) Distances could change upto say a kilometer or so.

Have you thought about the logitech mevo as a viable option to reduce the bulk? It's fairly new from what I can tell and seems to have a wireless webcam option in the software. I've been looking at getting one myself but not sure what the quality is like or anything like that.
Yea I’ve looked into pretty much any live streaming option. The mevo is really made to stay in place. So I could use that as additional cameras but not as a head mounted camera. Better off using the GoPro like I was before to save some weight but at the cost of video quality and features

Does that connect via WiFi or cellular? I’ve been looking for a way to stream IRL outdoors without going the route of a LiveU Solo to an SRT server.
It’s a HDMI transmitter so the range is about 300-400 feet to the receiver. Basically will work inside a house or buisiness. Outdoor live-streaming really needs a reliable Cell/Wi-Fi signal.

1:18 Easy, use RTMP . No need for fancy gadgets.
He did that before.. Said it took forever to get it to connect. + you have to buy software for that. Yes, he had to buy hardware for this, but this hardware is multi-use. The software needed for RTMP was one use only and was a money waste.

Thanks for the video, looks like there is no easy way to livestream with gopro9 and not need to use connection to laptop. How dumb and stupid as heck is this gopro? They have the source, money and all and not implementing true wireless livestreaming to an action camera is a true shame!
