Another reason why people use Zero is because of a small but helpful glitch called "Hyper Slash Combo", if you slash but dash at the same time, Zero will stop will and will do a weak slash, if you keep doing that, Zero will be able to slash the enemies multiple times without making the same 3-slash combo over and over, that's why Zero is pretty useful in comparison to X, I use X, but after beating the game I switch to Zero. If you keep doing the 3-slash combo, there will be a delay before doing it again, that's why the Hyper Slash Combo is useful at most times, if you want to know how to do it just simply search, "Megaman X5 Hyper Slash Combo". And you will learn how to do it.

I have a couple of questions. 1-Is the Enigma Shot random? The times I've tried this(and still do) I can't get it to destroy the colony. 2-Wouldn't Easy and Normal mode be 2 different kinds of PBs? Or i'm missing something here? Still a great run. A tiny bit sloppy after the boss rush.
its about a 5% or so chance. I played for like 2 hours to get one chance at a run. Normal mode just adds more health and doesn't really change the gameplay at all, just adds more arbitrary time spamming nova strikes. I treat them the same.
I think, the maverick become easier because of low level maverick. She/he got level 1 maverick in final game. But shoot cannon in early game is gambling, sometimes cannon didn't destroy the spaceship

It's been 4 years, but for the laser to have the highest chances of succeeding you need the parts from the bosses. You can still succeed without the parts but the chance will be much lower, this guy only records the run where it's successful
10:22 when I play this game 15 years ago (in PSX), I did not know there a place where we can face stage bosses directly like this place. How can? I had finish this game but I must finish the boss stage one by one. After I beat them, then I can face them directly.
As far as I recall, the healt bar of bosses is based in how many hours of the events of the game has passed. As in this video he skipped most of the game, boss's healt are very short.
im trying to speedrun this game on normal dificulty and im pretty bad at it i always fuck up early on but i have done a 100% run and that was just 1 minute over an hour so i will keep trying
im currently practicing any% on MMX Legacy Collection, and is there a way to manipulate RNG? i've been resetting the game for like almost 3 hours now and i still can't the Enigma Cannon to successfully destroy the ship, the game is fun to speedrun, it's just that my hands hurts cause of intense mashing in cutscenes lol

That is cool that if you get the right rng you can skip to the sigma levels but that had to be a pain in the ass replaying that same part to get the right rng over and over but with the bosses such low health it looks fun as hell afterwards i think if i was gonna attempt this i would just manipulate the rng to win everytime no way i could spend four or more hrs reloading save states or playing up to that point cool video though

@@andrearovenskiI found something cool for the steam version of mmxlc on mega man x5 you can also 100% the first rng by just beating the intro and making a save then going to kraken when it's loading hold right then die then hold left die again then press nothing and keep dying 4 times you will always destroy the first rng 100%

El nivel de los bosses depende de cuántos bosses hayas vencido anteriormente. Encima, el que Zero se convierta en Maverick es netamente RNG. Incluso sacando los 8 bosses hay posibilidades de que Zero de vuelva Maverick

At 5min45 you got hit by a spike on the roof. He was at the half of his hp and sudenly a glitch happen and you got full hp.... You can see the lagspike too at this moment..........!!!!!!! what did you say about this ?

just mash both buttons, you'll eventually get a rhythm down. Also, it's purely luck based on the enigma so dont sweat it too much lol

You have the option to launch the enigma (the cannon which parts you look after) anytime. Then it may trigger the final stages.

for this game? this is the old pc version with faster loading time, but ps1 has a trick that can manipulate some RNG. its a toss up

i think this run took me weeks to get. nowadays, there is a setup to manipulate the rng, but back in the day we just did it with our fingies crossed
