    Hi, thanks for the introduction to image creation/modification. Perhaps I'm missing something basic re: acrobat pro, if I scan a document, then open in Acrobat Pro, then prepare form, get all my boxes aligned as desired, then save document, then attempt to edit the document, it appears that using the edit feature after a "prepare form" operation, scrambles all my otherwise neatly done text boxes. What am I missing as I've spent considerable time using prepare form to get twelve pages of input just right?

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is an interesting question. Unfortunately, I don't have any specific information to offer because I have never experienced form fields move during editing. If you suspect you may have a software glitch, you may want to report it to Adobe. I hope you can find a solution!

    Erin - I. could totally use your help. I hired. someone to design some packaging for me. Longstory short - I now have a pdf of a Solidworks drawing and some design work done in PowerPoint. I need to lay the artwork over the pdf of the package drawing. This will place the artwork in the correct location for print and cut out of the paper. Could you please do a video of something similar?
    Thank you in advance!

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching my tutorial! Package design is generally performed in illustration or 3D software rather than PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. As a technical writer, I'm afraid I can't provide any qualified advice on illustration or 3D modeling, so I encourage you to reach out to a professional package designer. Best of luck!

    • @joannevans9629
      @joannevans9629 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@erinwrightwriting Yes, the package was designed in a CAD 3D program called Solidworks. So, I do not need help with 3D modeling. I need. help laying a photo over a pdf 2D drawing of a 3D design. Sorry to bother you. Others have used Adobe Acrobat Pro to do this. I'll go see if I can connect with the one I know who's done it. I tried to get with them a while back but was not successful. Thx

    Hi Erin,
    Wondering if you could show me how I can drag a imagine over from one page to the next?
    I am currently trying to move an imagine from page 2 to page 1 but it does not allow me to drag the imagine across pages.
    I have also tried to copy and paste the imagine, however when this is done the imagine is resized to a smaller scale and when I enlarge it to the actual size of the original it loses its quality and becomes pixalated.
    Would love your help and feedback.
    Thank you

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, Acrobat doesn't allow us to drag images across pages. In order to avoid the pixilation issue, my best suggestion is to delete the image on the firs page and manually reinsert it on the second page--not ideal, I know! Here is an article from Adobe support that you might find helpful: helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/edit-images-or-objects-pdf.html. Best of luck!

    How to make custom size, exact dimensions?

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, I don't believe that Acrobat provides controls for setting exact image dimensions. However, when you are using the resizing handles, you should see a tooltip attached to the handle telling you the dimensions as you resize the image. Best of luck!

    How to edit text in an image place on a PDF in Adobe acrobat?

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching! If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can open the image file and Acrobat will ask if you want to use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to recognize the text. After the conversion is over, you can then switch to the Edit a PDF tool and edit the text. Note that you may not be able to use the same font as in the image if that font isn't installed on your computer already.

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Yes, you can add tool tips (alt text) to images. However, you can't do it through the regular Image tools. Instead, you have to do it through the Accessibility Tags navigation pane. I am currently working on a tutorial about that topic, which should be released in 2 to 3 weeks. In the meanwhile, here is an article about the Accessibility features from Adobe support: helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/create-verify-pdf-accessibility.html.

      @@erinwrightwriting Thank you Erin. I'm a project manager for a large cabinet shop, and I have to submit to the architect in PDF format, all the products they are specifying for a particular job. They call it a Product Data Package. Sometimes my PDF product data packages exceed 200 pages of PDF. I'm a pro at creating almost any kind of PDF from scratch, but I've always wondered why Acrobat Pro 10 doesn't have a simple insert picture command. So I've been cheating for a very long time, I open Word, I insert the picture there, then I copy the pic, then I paste it in the PDF, works every time for me.
