After creating my button and trying it in preview it tells me "You need to be running inside a web browser in order to submit this form" I am wanting to create this for others to submit to our co. Good video but ive encountered a few issues with outlook. You have to be in the old version of outlook for the submission to work which is a pain. I guess quite a few people work in the new web based version these days so its hit and miss until Microsoft update things.

Many thanks for the video! Basically everything works very well. But unfortunately there is a problem when you put the PDF on a web page. When the user clicks on it, it opens in a new browser window. Filling in the form is then possible without any problems, but the submit button is then inactive!

what if your customer/client/contact doesn't have outlook? i tried selecting gmail and i continually get :Error Form data cannot be submitted to provided server. Please help, this is a huge issue with the form i spent 40 hours designing for our customers. we share the file, customers then open and need to check boxes to select the work they want done and send the file back.
or if this is a bug maybe another easy way for them to get this back to us other than save to desktop and manually attach to an email. we have elderly folks that don't know how to do that.

Very nice video. Is it possible to use my own SMTP information? I want to hard code the recipients' email address. All I want the user to do is to fill out the form and press s submit button....afterwards they would see a message letting them know that the form has been submitted. Is this possible? Thank you.
I did everything as instructed and had no problems until the very end when selecting Microsoft Outlook. There was a pop up that said: You need to create a Microsoft Outlook profile in Microsoft Windows. Go to the control panel panel and open mail. (which I did) Click show profiles and them click add. I clicked add , and entered my email address that I normally use in Outlook. I then went to preview to test the submit button. Another pop up appeared with the following message: An error occurred while sending mail. If you are not sure how to proceed further, you can save your form and return it manually using your Internet email service. I have Outlook 365 and host with Go Daddy. What is the fix?? Hello! Yes, you can have form fields auto populate in Acrobat. If you select a form field, copy it and then paste and place it somewhere else in the document, you'll notice it gets auto named as the same name with a number. what if your customer/client/contact doesn't have outlook? i tried selecting gmail and i continually get :Error Form data cannot be submitted to provided server. Please help, this is a huge issue with the form i spent 40 hours designing for our customers. we share the file, customers then open and need to check boxes to select the work they want done and send the file back.
or if this is a bug maybe another easy way for them to get this back to us other than save to desktop and manually attach to an email. we have elderly folks that don't know how to do that.

I did everything as instructed and had no problems until the very end when selecting Microsoft Outlook. There was a pop up that said: You need to create a Microsoft Outlook profile in Microsoft Windows. Go to the control panel panel and open mail. (which I did) Click show profiles and them click add. I clicked add , and entered my email address that I normally use in Outlook. I then went to preview to test the submit button. Another pop up appeared with the following message: An error occurred while sending mail. If you are not sure how to proceed further, you can save your form and return it manually using your Internet email service. I have Outlook 365 and host with Go Daddy. What is the fix??
