Within all my tutorials I aim to help you develop your skills working within Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as further your knowledge about the tools which are available within the Microsoft Office Software.
Throughout this channel I aim to cover simple subjects such as page numbers, margins, headers and footers, image, pictures and fonts as well as more advanced themes such as tables, mail merge, table of contents and electronic signatures.
Sharing tips and tricks which I discover along my journey is also an important aspect of this channel. I love the idea of giving people the solution to a problem they’ve been struggling with in Microsoft Word, Excel or Powerpoint.
The channel began all because of a problem I had when I had to insert images into a Word Document. I couldn’t find a way to drag and drop multiple images into a table without them expanding across the page, being cropped or interfering with the rest of the text. It wasn’t until I finally sat down one day, determined to find the solution and developed a way to solve the problem. Having found the problem quite difficult to solve without knowing how to do it I decided to make a You Tube video about it. Never once believing that many people would watch it, let alone be so grateful.
After discovering how helpful a simple tutorial could be I decided to make further videos with the aim of once again helping as many people as possible.

Hi Nancy. These were large images from the internet so around 102cm x 158cm for the portrait and landscape images but the important element is the ratio - these were (4 x 6). The square images were 29cm x 29cm but again (1 x 1 ratio ).

I followed your video - created a text box (7.28Hx2.0W cm) & saved as *.png (200 x 365 pix; 52kb). However the clarity (resolution) has degraded and the texts are blur. Intend to upload image to website. How to improve clarity?
I like your idea, but I use Office 2019 and I could not see how to change Layout Height and Width in your Your Tube instruction. Are you able to assist please?

Hi Lisa, We spoke before, last year, I'm the "Bristolian". My Autobiography was started before I found your wonderful tutorials. 250 pages, manually inserted photos, did the page numbering correctly. But now, watching your excellent tutorials on a 3 monitor setup I want to correct issues like photos moving, text not wrapping correcly etc. I think I need to delete the "Contents" listing" and start again. Because this book has been "WIP" since 1987, a few anomalies, different fonts, sizes etc. Could I select say, 2 pages at a time, and change to Ariel 10? Can you send me the tutorials for that please? I'm in England May thru' July, next year, staying near Weston Super Mare. I'd love to meet you. Take care, Terry Whitchurch.
Hi Lisa. Do all the images in my folder need to be the same size already? For some reason when I drag into the table, some of the images do not resize to fit within the table cell.
Unfortunately word is not clever enough to resize each image perfectly to one table so it's important the images are in the same orientation if you want them to look the same. you can crop them in word if you need to though.
Useful video and I have written step by step down onto my Notepad. However, when I try it out, things ARE NOT working for me!
Hi I need to add multiple pictures of different sizes, all in one page. does not matter if the pictures are flipped. I want to save space and use as few paper as possible. i will need to cut them out anyway. also images moved around is not a issue. .is there anyway this can be achieved.. ?

Lisa thank you but I'm on word 2019/2020 and its different from yours - I can't remove the border as you do. I'm am toggling back and forth from yours to mine. What happens is when I click on NO Borders from right clicking - I have what I call marching ants around my images. I click out side the box and everything I try dosen't work. The other MAIN problem is when I click table design after clicking in box upper left and clicking TABLE Border it is 100% grayed out!! The other Huge problem is I selected two boxes as you showed, did all the steps the make it exact - YET when I insert image it take up the entire page , I think here we have a different version then yours. Can you help??
The marching ants are just gridlines, they won't print or appear if you save as PDF. You can get rid of them by going to TABLE DESIGN > BORDERS > VIEW GRIDLINES and uncheck them.
Have you corrected selected your table or cells before going to TABLE BORDER. Unless something is selected it will be greyed out.
Did you FIX COLUMN WIDTH as well as select EXACT for cell height?
I need to put photos from my camera into boxes for property inventory documents and they come out as a mixture of horizontal and vertical photos. How do I make them all fit into the table exactly without the vertical ones needing more adjusting?
Hi, The short answer is they won't all fit unless you crop them or leave them to be slightly smaller than the landscape ones.

You can either insert just one cell and change the height to the page size or insert the image straight onto the page and resize.

Great idea, however don't think it would work with flowable books. So use with caution

Why do you need tables to enter images?
You don't but if you want to drag and drop images into a document in the perfect position....you will need a table.

This doesn't work for me. When I drag my photos, or even try and insert them, they put in small pictures that don't fill the box and I have to manually try to make them fit. Might also help if you tell people what version you are using as mine looks totally different and I couldnt find some things.
