Iso: less is better (the more you increase it the more grain and brightness you get)
Fps: 24 fps will give you better bitrate than 25, 30 and 60 (better image quality per frame), use 60 for action scenes
    Low light mode : off
WB: daylight, correct it later in your editing software (auto won't be usable)
Shutter speed: 1/50 for 24 and 25, 1/60 for 30 and 1/120 for 60 in most cases depending on lighting

This cam drains a battery empty, when it is turned off. Why Why Why?

Great video, thanks for the tips! One question though: why do you set the metering mode to average? Is there any particular reason for that? I've tried all modes and somehow I ended up choosing the center from then on. Would like to hear your personal opinion...
Thanks and keep up the good work brother

The average metering mode looks at the whole image and determines how it should expose. This is good if you want to film outside and don't have a specific subject.
If you try to vlog with average mode and the background is very bright your face will be underexposed, dark.
If you are filming a specific object like a person, animal, car, road... its better to choose the center mode. This mode looks at the middle of the frame and makes sure the thing in the middle looks good and doesn't care as much for the background.
If you vlog with that it will make your face look normal but also make the background darker.
You need do decide if you want to film the whole frame or focus on a particular subject.
If you can't decide between them I think there is an additional metering mode that prioratises the thing in the middle but also cares for the background. Forgot how its called tough.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you are curious about anything else and have a nice day : )

If you're buying a new model go for the hero black the white and silver don't have the best footage.
If you won't film a lot of action maybe even consider a micro 4/3 camera.
      Thank you.

@@kaPaURL i probably will go for the latest one if i will. At least it will be good for couple of years.
I used 4/3 camera and also sony handycam but they attract much attention when i shoot outside 😁
I watched comparison of yi and go pro black 7. Yi is doing decent job in the video but when we shoot (my sis has another) it s not good at all. Kind of confusing. It s not even as good as iPhone xr (whish has a single camera) 🙄

is your electronic stabilization good? For some reason I think that my camera has horrible stabilization.

It has to be at least class 10 U3 and bigger than 8gb. I used a Sandisk Extreme U3 64gb.
If it meets the class 10 U3 standard specs than it's good.

Try changing the resolution (there are 3 around 4k resolutions 4000px to 3840px) and disable stabilization.
I can't test it though because u don't have the camera anymore...
