Equipment and materials
Paint
Acrylic paint by Pebeo, Abstract and Daler Rowney
Watercolour paint by Paul Rubens of LightWish - High intensity pigment pallet, and Anilinky high pigment pallet
Brushes
Assorted, flat, round and very fine. I use a variety of different makes but they are all very soft. I also use brushes for nail painting as they are very fine.
Colouring Pencils
Faber-Castell Polychromos
Derwent Inktense
Paper
For watercolour you need a strong paper (300gsm) or you can use wallpaper lining paper which works really well

Assorted colours

Fineliner marker by Daler Rowney and Fudenosuka
Acrylic pens by Aen Art, Posca and Lyuvie
Fountain pens by Jinhao, Lumy and Parker
Ink by Diamine
I also use a water spray and various mark making tools
I am not currently sponsored by any of the above :)
I have been fascinated with Escher from childhood. Thank you for making tessellation attainable for anyone. ❤
Thank you so much
So many wonderful art forms that I've never heard of coming from a scientific background. Thanks for bringing me yet another amazing idea ❤
My pleasure 😊

I always wondered how this was done! Thanks, Cate! It's going to be sunny all week! YAY! Had the aurora give us a visit in Northern California! It's supposed to shift over your way for this week. If you get a chance see it, do so! It's AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Haven't seen anything like this before and should be fun to try.

Hi Cate ..may be just me but I’m fine if I swop pieces to opposite side of card..however when I moved one piece a little further along the opposite side I couldn’t repeat the pattern. Probably just me but have I misunderstood what you said ..or just getting it wrong. Going to keep playing ..❤❤❤
Just watching again ..thinking it may work if on on side only one protuberance .. I’m watching one where triangle moves.
Hello Chris… playing with the shapes is really good! Without seeing what you’ve done, I can’t comment.. if you’d like to join the FB group, you could post your experiment, and I can take a look..
