I have a big phobia of stickers, but the project looks so wonderful to do, I am thinking of making the colors and papers IRL and taking pictures in my iPad and use it to do the collage itself. It would not be the same beautiful texture and shade game, but I could always print it out and go over it with traditional media again. Super inspiring woah! Thank you for that!

oh this past month i made a tiny art book project for my art class inspired by your work actually!! it was my first time making collage with painted papers! it was so much fun (but frustating at some points lol) now with this video i hope i will get even more inspired!!!

I love your collages and you inspired me to try it for myself! One big issue I haven’t yet figured out, is how to get a larger variety of hues and values when I’m painting. They all end up looking similar :s perhaps I need to buy some premixed colors 🤔

Hi Emily. I am into watercolors and I recently painted on some Mulberry rice paper to collage on top of my watercolor on Arches paper. It looked beautiful but when it dried the paper curled up. I used Nori paste to glue the rice paper to the painting. I have wet the back of the watercolor paper and am now trying to flatten it. Should I have used something different to glue the rice paper to the watercolor? It looked so beautiful after I did it. I have every glue you could possibly imagine. I think you are amazing and I love following you.
Absolutely love your style , and youve inspired me to have a go can i ask a question about sticking. You mention you temporarily stick things but how do uou go back and fully stick down those flappy bits? Just with the glue stick ir is a brish needed for the smaller 'flaps'

I’m more interested in your shapes than even the textures. Imo, I think shapes are harder and you’ve mastered that part of the illustrative style!

I saw that one too! It looks like handmade paper, in German we call it "handgeschöpftes Papier". My mom used to have it when I was a child.
