    Love these doodles. Here in South Africa we are going into winter, so starting to get chilly and cloudy. Enjoy the sun.

    Hi Cate, oh how I look forward to your Monday and Friday channel, thank you! I hope it does well for you❣️Your talented way of teaching and your enthusiasm have made me pullout my grandkids crayons and old composition books. I look forward to whatever you are able to share. You breakdown the steps beautifully ❤

    I love your channel Cate! I am from Wichita,Ks. U.S. We are in spring except every year we get less spring & Fall weather and a lot of winter and summer.
    We always have windy days. Lately we have severe wind warnings. I will never enjoy that much wind unless I am flying a kite with my grandchildren. We have been getting 50mph wind lately.

      Thank you :) I hope you're ok with the wild weather... I live by the sea and we get the south westerly winds, but nothing too severe most of the time... 50mph is very strong. Stay safe x

    Wonderful lesson and the lessons within the lesson particularly about drawing freehand which is the most fun anyway. I always draw stars freehand and they have more character than measured ones.
    Watching each vortex I could see other ways to use them. Inspiring. And so much fun!
    Glad the sun is out in Dorset. It's out here in Mississippi, too.

      Thank you for your lovely comment... you are absolutely right, a bit of freehand drawing adds to the uniqueness of a piece. Yay... sunshine :)

    Hi Cate, thank you for showing us your beautiful creations. Would you frame a piece of doodling or is just to show to practice tonal values?

      Thank you... it's a great question... sometimes I really like a doodle and will develop it further into a final piece :)

    Kate, you have the 2 largest areas going in the same direction. Did you mean to do that? or..

      Hah! No... probably not! Thank you for your comment :) I try to be very free at the start of a composition and see what happens...

      @sheilacym หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Cate did say that she was using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, but you could use any coloured pencils that you like.

      Oh thank you. I had a pesky headache so concentration was so good. I thought that was what they looked like. So kind of you to reply.
