    What separates Alan Flusser from highly skilled tailors is his eye for style (not just tradition) both in context and historically, something he shares with Ralph Lauren. Glad to learn from a master. Thanks Kirby!

    An amazing wealth of knowledge (both the legend Mr. Flusser, and Kirby's channel). Thanks, as always, for making these!

    Alan Flusser really got me started in menswear with Dressing the Man. It's fantastic to see him applying that knowledge here, and I agree with everything he says here. I get bespoke shirts because I also have a long neck, and so few made-to-measure shirtmakers can offer me a collar that looks right on me. There aren't any ready-to-wear shirts I'd be happy with.

    Kirby is great, but far too often is formulating his next question while the other person is speaking, which causes him to interrupt when he probably should still be listening. Aside from that, it is a very good interview and very interesting. thanks, kirby.

    My question today is besides SkyBlue & White shirt & Pink shirt what else goes with a Brown suit?

    • @mrkonrady22
      @mrkonrady22 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jarod ORla Try classic dense tattersall pattern shirt.

    • @mrkonrady22
      @mrkonrady22 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jarod ORla Just google "tattersall". It's very typical british pattern and I especially love the dense type with squares being just 0,5x0,5 cm large. With a brown suit it just the best option (for me).

    I really enjoy this conversation and Mr Flusser conveys a certain reserved charme. However: His pocket square looks a bit as if he simply folded the menu of a local chinese restaurant two times and put it in. Just kidding ;)
    @Kirby After your first Flusser suit seems to have satisfied you quite a bit: are you planning on commissioning more suits from him in the future? Maybe your first windowpane suit, pushing your comfort zone even more?

    It use to be that you could get a made to measure suit for around 70 pounds in the late 70s. That's around $500 now. These modern prices are crazy

  • @TheDreamtimezzz

    I find it ironic that Kirby mentions the mistake young people make of having things “made tight “,yet in his other vids he constantly says to the tailors he “prefers the fit to be tight”. 🤔 hmmm.

    I take off my suit jacket, when entering a meeting or such, because I get hot.
    Simple as that. Nothing to do with comfort.
    Days of AC and heating every meeting room is set to 25°C and sweltering

    • @MauricXe
      @MauricXe 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaelwatson1390 I disagree. You can overheat in a Bespoke.
      When I think comfort, I think ease of movement and if it's not tight.

    An investment for 10 to 20 years of wear is great, that is, if you don't gain weight like most people do as they age.
