I really wish this park would get one or two rides with great capacity the park really needs it and better operations I went back in May and for Medusa station wait took 30 minutes on two train service it was ridiculous how slow the crew were especially with waiting for my row of people to take off their coats after having locked the restraint one person of theirs wasn’t seated and waited for them this park has potential if they take out the boomerang and Kong and one or two stadiums
@@themeparklunatic1996 very good comment here thanks for watching! I was at this park on Monday this week actually, I flew in from Phoenix specifically to get on Kong and boomerang as both of those were closed on my last visit.. well, Kong was closed again. I talked to park management and guest services about it, they did give me flash pass for the inconvenience but on Monday, only 3-4 of their roller coasters were even open. Medusa is down for a repaint and so was Kong, so essentially that entire wing of the park was dead the entire day. The maintenance told me all day Kong would open, it never did. I was extremely disappointed in my most recent visit, my first one was much better.
Thanks for this awesome video! I was wondering how rattly was the Joker ride? I recently went on the Grizzly at California's Great America and the rattliness made my bones hurt for weeks lol so I'm hesitant to ride another wooden coaster, but the Joker looks like a mix? Thanks!
Absolutely! I have not been on grizzly yet but am planning to this year so I cannot compare for you the exact ride… BUT joker is an RMC hybrid which means it has wood supports but steel tracks and imo is one of the smoothest coasters available! It definitely doesn’t have the rattle of the traditional wooden style. I think you’ll enjoy it!
As a big guy myself (6'4" 275lbs) I appreciate your size ratings. May I ask your stats so I can compare? For example... I've never been able to ride an SLC as my chest is simply too big... when they lock me in (barely...one click) I simply can not breathe and require to be removed. This has been the case for every SLC I've attempted to ride. What would you rate an SLC as on your size rating (if you've ridden one)? Thanks! We're going to Discovery Kingdom on Thursday & Saturday of next week (with the waterpark breaking it up on friday). EDIT: I just checked out your ABOUT section... 6'4" / 290lbs... seems likely I can ride any of those you were able to. Awesome! Thank you again... your channel rocks and I'm going to go check out the other vids!
Hey there! The SLC Kong was closed at this park but I have been on Minderaser at elitch gardens which features the same restrains and they absolutely crush my shoulders, but I do make it on and still ride! I have no problem mentioning my body stats: Waist - 48.5 Chest - 49 Stomach - 52 Sleeve - 29 Height 6”4’ Weight 295lbs
And I would give SLC with old style restraints probably a size L because they can handle folks with large belly and bigger legs, it’s really just those who are taller with large shoulders/chest that it affects. I’ve heard some of the other ones like the new one at lost island feature soft vest restraints instead… stay tuned to the channel to find out 🧐😎
AWESOME video, thank you! SFDK is my local Six Flags Park as I live in Vallejo. I ❤ SFDK, BUT, I am NOT a fan of their version of Batman. My favorite version of Batman is the B&M floorless one that I've ridden at both Six Flags Great Adventure back east in Jackson, New Jersey as well as down at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA in the LA area. Medusa 💚💜 is my FAVORITE coaster at SFDK overall, followed by Superman: Ultimate Flight. Joker looks fun too, but I haven't had the time to ride it yet. Sorry Kong & Boomerang were both closed when you were there. They're both AWESOME! 👍😎
Thanks for watching! I’m hopeful to return and get Kong and boomerang and the scrambler. I also missed a couple at CGA (grizzly & Woodstock) so I def need to return to the Bay Area
Any idea what's going on with Kong and Boomerang? Have I just been getting unlucky with my visits, because they've been down every time I've gone in the past couple years... Maybe I am just that unlucky since it was the same with Flash but you managed it lol
I know flash is very touchy, it opened, then closed, then opened again on my visit a few times. Both boomerang and kong were down when I went as well, not sure why those rides are down so often?!
Watch and listen closely around the mark where I’m over by the Ark and the sidewinder, I mention the rides that were closed, on my visit Kong, scrambler, and boomerang were all closed for maintenance
Medusa was the first roller coaster I ever rode
It’s a heck of a starter!🎉
This is the six flags I go to 😂 my favorite ride in it is probably wonder woman or flash
Lucky you get to go often!
same here :3 my personal favs are wonder woman and joker bc every time i go there flash is broken down

@@Bigguyrides you were right - I did enjoy it! So smooth, unlike regular wooden coasters! Thanks!

You're lucky you don't get to ride an SLC😂
