People have been angry that it has taken Anduin so long to return to the light, that he has not gone to his mentors... and yet? Dude was trapped in the ream of death, twisted and tormented with the same domination magic that warped Arthas. Except that Anduin would have known, would have seen the similarities, thought that this was what had happened to Arthas, and if the Lich King was an unredeemable monster, than so to was he. He has not completely healed, but he is walking the path. Here is hoping they show him stumbling a bit, but still making progress, as mental wounds cut deeper than physical. And Khadgar thought fast and saved himself and in a way that wasn't a total asspull! Because hey, as he said, it was risky and he did end up dying (briefly) regardless. It actually made sense with what we knew of the Dark Heart and his own skill as an archmage.
Yeah Anduin was forced to take a back seat as he slaughtered everybody and everything in his path and hated the fact that he didn't feel bad about it at the time. For a kid who's sole purpose was to bring in peace to the world it must have been a complete strip down of your person and shattered his essence. That's not something you just walk away from. Thrall was the same way with his elemental issue and having to go through all his struggles with his wife to accept what happened to him and try to fix it.
Hmmm, actually, do you remember what Uther told Arthas before Arthas' pledging to become a paladin? Uther: “You are ready, Arthas. You have proven yourself time and again. You are worthy of the title of paladin. But remember, no one is ever truly ready. No one feels worthy. We do what we must, because it is right.” Maybe Anduin's moment in this vid mirrors that of what Uther said? Before Shadowlands Anduin was completely sure of himself and kind of simply 'inherited' a high position and great power without actually earning any of it, but now, after struggling I believe he will truly become not a priest like his child self, and not a warrior like his father, but an actual Paladin, and I believe that Uther's part about nobody ever truly being ready or feeling worthy, but doing what is right because we must, shows exactly what Anduin was struggling with - after being a perfectionist idealist as a child, he struggled with being flawed and having real struggles with himself, and finally coming to do what is right despite doubts.

Gave me the same energy as Hawkeye vs Iron Man in Civil War when Clint was like "Just can't seem to miss" as he proceeds to miss on purpose as he fires at Iron Man to distract him to which he responds with "Well first time for everything." "Made ya look."
I was wondering if something involving the dark heart would occur. I mean, for all her careful plans, Xal'atath does seem to have a habit of hsving the dark heart out and about for all to see. You'd think she'd have anticipated something like this.
I love Alleria and her concept, but I'm really getting disappointed by the way they're pacing her story. She overcame all doubts in a 5 min cinematic and now did this to one clever villain, in a minute! that's not a good pacing in my opinion
I want one too, I have one in real life. I would pull out the mage for that, or a priest. Heck, my main is a Paladin, I would have to do some rigging to figure out how, but fighting in floating, that could be righteous fun.

Anduin is one of the very rare few lore characters who can resurrect, he resurrected Varian in one of the books, seeing him do it again is amazing, I'm glad to see Anduin is back Edit: Can't believe I forgot about his mass rez of the Alliance forces at lorderon
I'm starting to think... This is a spoiler: the developers said that Xalatat will not die. So she either runs away, becomes a half-ally, or gets locked up. Where was she locked up, oh, in a dagger. Who has that dagger now?
omg.....thank the light anduin finally forgives himself and stops blaming himself and he was able to save khadgar. i feared if khadgar was truely dead then mages would never feel the same ever again....ty Anduin.
Fk, I just played the scenes with the battle in Hallowfall and the Kadghar, Alleria, Anduin scene. Music and setting excelent. And a tear in the end. GG Blizz!
Can you please put the word spoiled in front of these cinematics? I got a notification on my computer which completely spoiled me as I worked through the campaign . It's a small change that would save many people. Very infuriating to see.
This misses me on two points. It underplays the moment of Anduin reconnecting with the LIght. They didn't need to turn him into a drama queen for that scene but a bit more glow effect would have better suited the occasion. Alleria got more bang for the buck when she zapped Xalatath's gizmo. The gentle smile he bestowed on Khadgar was a nice touch. Anduin has never been prideful and understatement between old friends speaks volumes. My bigger issue is the insult to Varian's kingship. His sword is not an instrument of evil. He did not kill without purpose. A leader must sometimes choose force when reason and sweet words do not secure the peace. Are we to forget how Varian secured escape for the remnants of his army at the cost of his own life? When Anduin asked "What do I do now?" Varian replied "What a king must do." Anduin is not Varian but he is a king. He can lead without a sword in his hand, but he will need a warrior as his righthand man.
I was roaring with excitement. Seeing the bird I was like WAIT- HE'S ALIVE Then I was like "WAIT IS HE JUST GOING TO DIE AGAIN?" And then ANDUIN and just-AAAAAAAAAAAH I'm a sucker for this. Khadgar was my favorite character for a long time and Anduin became my new favorite overtime (watching him grow and fall and grow again). So this was real powerful for me.
Your reaction is literally the same as mine step by step they had us at the first half then with the finish it becomes one of the best cinematics to date
Technically he wasn’t dead yet. Just in cardiac arrest. Anduin healed the wounds and restarted the heart. We can restart hearts too in the emergency rooms of every hospital. It’s only after 5 minutes with no heartbeat that the brain starts to die.
@@thewalrus45 Fun fact: defibrillators actually aren’t used to restart hearts outside of specific cases (when the stop is caused by fibrillation, and it would be the CPR to do the heavy lifting anyway). As the name says, they are used to… de-fibrillate an heart in fibrillation. Usually it is the CPR or cardiac pacing that restarts the heart in cases of cardiac arrest, but it would sometimes restart in fibrillation, and it has then to be defibrillated (and sometimes, the defibrillator used to stop a fribrillation would end up accidentally stopping the heart, that has then to be restarted).
Resurrection is an incredible feat in lore. We do it in gameplay all the time; but lore wise, it takes an incredible tie to the Light to perform. Very rare. Anduin had done it once before with Calia Menethil.
You do know Arthas was a villain, right? And unlike a few others he never had any noble intentions. Furthermore, Blizzard has reiterated over and over again that every action he took in service to the Scourge and later as the Lich King himself was entirely of his own free will. It was in a way quite fitting that his soul ended up being used as fuel by the very evil he sought to control and exploit for his own ends.
@@Ultimaton100 he was also a major driving force in wow's popularity since it's inception. To say that his end in the Shadowlands was a *little* insulting would be an understatement

Well well well Xal'atath. We maybe unable to kill you, but we sure do as hell will undress you with some void arrows 😅😂😂😂
Every plot is vulnerable to the power of the script. As is told shall be done.
"Where did I leave that city?" Oh no, Grandpa forgot where he left his house! Nevermind the keys!
Well its kinda all over the place right now, in more ways than one. Someone inform Dadghar
“I’m not aiming for you” bruh
such savagery in those words, simply beautiful
Cliche as fuck lmao
Gave me the same energy as Hawkeye vs Iron Man in Civil War when Clint was like "Just can't seem to miss" as he proceeds to miss on purpose as he fires at Iron Man to distract him to which he responds with "Well first time for everything."
"Made ya look."
Thanks for spoiling me with the thumbnail when I was scanning TH-cam...
"Oh... right... I can ressurect people..."
i m in a wheelchair in real life and i have to say...DAM I WANT THAT PURPLE ONE FOR MY SHAMAN SO BAD as a Mount XD
I want my monk to tank in one of those, as if they were gear equipped in legs slot.
I want one too, I have one in real life. I would pull out the mage for that, or a priest. Heck, my main is a Paladin, I would have to do some rigging to figure out how, but fighting in floating, that could be righteous fun.
@@vancour this is the best answer ever
From what I can tell, 80% of the playerbase is in wheelchairs.

Khadgar is Professor X, confirmed
Anduin: "It was on cd guys, sorry about that"

THANK YOU ANDUIN I CAN NOT EXPLAIN MY Gratitude for bringing my guardian…my…archmage and my Mentor thank you Anduin Wrynn I owe you for this and I will help you bring Xal’atath down together❤❤❤
And thank you blizzard for not letting my heart shatter like it did with Varok Saurfang I could not bare lose another great character….😢❤❤
And thank you @Athelarius for always posting these amazing moments and cutscene I hope it just keeps on coming and becoming better and greater, you made me heart whole again just to witness Khadgar return to us once more ❤️❤️❤️ thank you ^^
Damn fucking straight he ain’t that old this man have still some fight in him and his purpose is still not fulfilled 🥹❤️❤️
Glad you’re enjoying these, doing the best to keep everyone updated with the story after all these years! And I’m glad to see Khadgar back and well, and Anduin embracing the light again. Best moment in War Within and best cinematic yet
Fully agree! I was SO worried he was dead dead, but he's back! Let's hope they don't put him through this again!❤
Those in game cinematics looks crazier and crazier...good job
Bravo to Blizzard, masterpiece cinematics, voice acting and art style, enjoying war within so far!
Anduin is one of the very rare few lore characters who can resurrect, he resurrected Varian in one of the books, seeing him do it again is amazing, I'm glad to see Anduin is back
Edit: Can't believe I forgot about his mass rez of the Alliance forces at lorderon

Somebody help the man find his chowder!
I never thought I would cry with wow
This cutscene did it
We got Anduin finding the light again before GTA 6..
I'm starting to think...
This is a spoiler: the developers said that Xalatat will not die.
So she either runs away, becomes a half-ally, or gets locked up. Where was she locked up, oh, in a dagger. Who has that dagger now?
Anduin....by the Light! It answers! Praise be.
omg.....thank the light anduin finally forgives himself and stops blaming himself and he was able to save khadgar. i feared if khadgar was truely dead then mages would never feel the same ever again....ty Anduin.
EXPANSION SAVED
More like ruined lol
They put him on a wheelchair in a game of magic

That was for diversity and inclusion reasons. The woke cancer strikes again.
@@crowmaster9652yeah, in which stuff like rezzing in lore is more of a miracle than a minute cooldown…
its all very meh
About time Alleria destroys the Dark Heart.
And it's also about time we see a revival in a cinematic.
I mean, Anduin did cast Mass Rez at the Battle for Lordaeron.
@@rcslyman8929 Trailers don't count.
She just cracked it, I'm curious how this will affect Xalatath and the host of old god power she has collected.
What a Happy Hopeful Ending (: Glad to have Kadgar back and Anduin getting self up again.
Definitely a good ending for launch and a really great way to start the expansion! Looking forward to the next patch
Thanks for spoiling straight in the title
When anduin was giving a heartfelt monologue and a player character peeked their head over the hill I lost it
Khadgar sounded evil when he said this isnt the real fight
I just realised alleria wears pinkish red nailpolish
I would've liked if Khadgar came back later in the story, but this is at least good for Anduin's development
Finally Anduin made peace and uses the light again, hope we see him be brave again.
Dude don't put spoilers in the title wtf.
Our little boy has come so far but I feel the story still has ways to go, our king!
Why didn't Anduin resurrect Saurfang after the duel with Sylvanas?
Apparently we can say Khadgar went into cardiac arrest here for a few seconds, Saurfang was pelted with Dark shadow magic.
I was roaring with excitement. Seeing the bird I was like WAIT- HE'S ALIVE
Then I was like "WAIT IS HE JUST GOING TO DIE AGAIN?"
And then ANDUIN and just-AAAAAAAAAAAH
I'm a sucker for this. Khadgar was my favorite character for a long time and Anduin became my new favorite overtime (watching him grow and fall and grow again). So this was real powerful for me.
Your reaction is literally the same as mine step by step they had us at the first half then with the finish it becomes one of the best cinematics to date
Anduin restores faith and tenderness inside.
Finally all these characters talk about other people like they've known them for years.
Khadgar has been one of my favorite characters from WoW for years. His humor is spot-on. His humor is hilarious.
Anduin just resurrected someone again
Technically he wasn’t dead yet. Just in cardiac arrest. Anduin healed the wounds and restarted the heart. We can restart hearts too in the emergency rooms of every hospital. It’s only after 5 minutes with no heartbeat that the brain starts to die.
It was more like he used the Light as a defilibrator here lol, got Khadgars heart going again just after it stopped.
@@thewalrus45
Fun fact: defibrillators actually aren’t used to restart hearts outside of specific cases (when the stop is caused by fibrillation, and it would be the CPR to do the heavy lifting anyway).
Also in the lore the res spell is a very rare ability for light users to have.
Plot expanding on Khadgar and Modera.
This 100% yes
AHHH Aduin has obtained the light again!
Ну да, ну да, Артеса они превратили в гребанного светлячка, а Кадгара - неи
Some characters just hit different
I’m curious, do you use Horde characters at all?
That is a question better directed towards Blizzard.
Good thing I went on vacation before finishing the story just to have the title ruin it for me. Good job 👍
Is… is khadgar in a floating arcane wheelchair? 😂
So lame. He could have used floating spell.
Resurrection is an incredible feat in lore. We do it in gameplay all the time; but lore wise, it takes an incredible tie to the Light to perform. Very rare. Anduin had done it once before with Calia Menethil.
Thanks for the spoiler chief. Amazingly done.
"Now where did we leave that city, I'll have to get back to you." rofl how fitting. Losing a whole city like one might lose their car keys.
We got Anduin back, we got Khadgar back. Everything is good in the world again.
okay blizzard. we will not burn you to the ground today. just remember, we are still pissed off about Arthas' soul
The writing for this expansion became like Shadowlands.
For the first 3 minutes in the expansion, everybody died xD. It's good that we get a couple of characters make it out alive
THE FACE OF KHADGAR WAS PRICELESS WHEN HE LOOK AT ANDULN WHO JUST BROUGHT HIM BACK TO LIFE SAY THANK YOU
Chadgar better have a grand death or death by old age because I'll be damned if he's slain by no name void anomaly.
