Supper touching the scene with Tyrande, Malfurion and Shandris! Also the first kiss in the history of Warcraft, the animation quality really improved during the years! Though I was super happy to finally see them reunite like a family I didn't like how Tyrande and Malfurion just retired. They definitely deserved some well earned rest (especially Tyrande, Malfurion mostly slept anyway) but after that they should have continued to lead the night elves not just pass the responsibility to Shandris. The two best represent the kaldorei and have very important position in the society as Archdruid of the Kaldorei and High Priestess of Elune, Leader of the Sisterhood of Elune (unless they given up those too). I hope this is only temporary, the mere passage of time does not equal the passing of the torch, unless the two were killed or be forced to go on a very important mission I don't see why they will ever just give up like that.
I'm happy Tyrande, Malfurion, Shandris finally get a moment to breath. Their reunion was touching and long overdo. Thank you Blizzard for giving them a happy ending in Dragonflight 💙
I burst out in laughter when I heard "I see you, father!" and laughed more when she talked about her father's pain, but turned it around to make it about herself. When she becomes a queen, will she speak of her people's pain and then say "But imagine how I feel! Think about how I feel!"
On both scenes in Gilneas and Bel'Ameth the way Tess and Shandris react to their parents love is beautifully done! But the love of Malfurion and Tyrande the way they show it on the cinematic it was ABSOLUTELY OVERWHELMING...especially for ppl who have or had something like that will feel it more...
And it sounds to me like they plan to keep him around for the big showdown in The Last Titan... a villain sticking around for 4 expansions. Think of the possibilities.
did anyone notice how Iridikron's literally waiting inside a mountain to impress that blue protodrake.... think about it, he had to have had someone to cover him to in snow to make an entrance like that xD so corny
I cried when malfurion and tyrrande finally reunites, but i cried even more when they had shandris join their hugs... their family has become whole at last!!!
Kind of strange how most leaders in Warcraft are finding an heir in one way or another. One would think that the big figures would try to retain power.
For Genn, it makes sense for him to abdicate to his daughter. He’s getting up in years, and he can’t bring the change his people need and instead chooses to entrust it to the next generation (ie, Tess). As for Tyrande, she’s been ruling the night elves for ten thousand years. Even she will have to step down eventually.
Time has to mvoe on. Each and every age will raise new heroes and discard old ones. You must go and take your place... While I must step aside. I am a relic of an older time. Where as you are a symbol of this new time.
*Wow, that Gilnean part really reminded me of that one BFA cinematic, were Jaina's mother gave her the title of lord-admiral!* *For Gilneas! For Kul Tiras!*
The fact that for once we get some nice, quite happy epilogues warms my heart. It does not always need to be more violence and destruction. Some rebuilding, reclaiming and settling is a nice change of pace.
I thought this was a good way to close out this chapter of Warcraft history and a good hand off to a new generation of leaders. Only thing that bugs me and it always has is that the only recognizion we get is a nice title. Our characters deserve some awesome animation for a cinematic
I’ve seen people theorize that he is doing this because he knows the void will lose the fight, and hopes that the titans and us players will be weakened post void fight enough to take us on then.
I doubt Iridikron thinks the Void will actually win. He's setting up the Void and the Titans to fight. And based on the hints they gave at Blizzcon it looks like the Titans will be revealed to not be the benevolent beings we expected.
Those moments involving Tyrande and Malfurion were beautiful. Shandris wanting to get in on the hug, but waiting for permission was adorable and heart warming.
The writing is so much better than before! I'm so proud of the writers now doing justice and making compelling stories instead of one shot villain's who are relevant for one expansion and forgotten afterwards
Azeroth bless them, not the Titans, Alexstraza and Nozdomu being re-empowerd the power Titan give them, also Kalec got re-empower from Blue dragonflight 's Embrace ritual back then, Methira and Ebyssian got blessed as well as Vyranoth. Basically, their aspect power still have just their dragonflight stand for but they cut tie with the Titan somekind, they serve and protect Azeroth herself now
Malfurion objected to Tyrande adopting Shandris in the first place. That he welcomes her (finally) with open arms is him finally acknowledging that he was wrong to do so
I wasn't expecting the return of Malfurion and the kiss that followed. It was very moving, beautifully done and I must confess I filled up. Very well done Blizzard!
How were u not expecting that after ysera left/returned to ardenweald again? He simply was a placeholder for her literally until she would return and so did he.
Could someone, please, put Sabellian through a crash course of Azeroth's recent history and make him aware of who actually took down the biggest threats Azeroth has ever faced? 🤣
Idk what to tell you regarding your first question, except for it apparently doesn't take a lot to make you shed a tear even though malfurion did next to nothing the past few expansions. And to your second question. Its not disney, but they sure as hell really wwnt to suck the war part out of warcraft and pretend to be disney lately. That must be it.
Patch 10.2.5's dialogue and cutscenes surely were something special. I really felt the jump in quality, not simply from a graphical perspective but a narrative one as well. Blizzard are definitely taking major lessons from games such as FFXIV because the natural but consistent progression of the narrative in various doses is quite unlike them. Typically, everything is saved for a major patch and even then, locked behind some raid or rep faction exalted questline, leaving majority of the playerbase unable to see what happens. Now, it feels like the game goes out of its way to have you experience the story, even if in small doses. It's a welcome change, and if a sign for the War Within, then I have very high hopes! Farewell DF!
They have to continue on this way, seriously. I haven't played much of Dragonflight since I've been burned out by the two previous extensions before (playing since vanilla) and I'm also a huge FFXIV fan. If they get a bit more serious about the storytelling, just a tad more for The War Within, it will be dope AF. They have the potential to create a badass trilogy filled with amazing cutscenes and to tell a story we've never been able to see in the Warcraft Universe yet. Let's hope they'll take that chance and rise up to the challenge. Back in the days, I was all about the raids, now it's all about the story.
What are you talking about bro. Every single quest is them talking about their feelings and saying sorry. They will say they're sorry for being on a ship, sorry for not knowing how to make tuskarr soup, sorry for now doing anything earlier, sorry for not acknowledging this and that. Like it's complete nonsensical writing in every quest. When someone called it TherapyCraft earlier they weren't lying. It should be illegal for characters to talk about their feelings period
Blizzard clearly doesn't know wtf to do with Malfurion and keep finding excuses to sideline him. He's too powerful and it doesn't make sense for him not to help during a world-ending calamity or be uninvolved in Nigh Elf affairs.
god that line about find a good spot for a home and the bit about a garden. Bliz knew what they were doing when they did that. We're getting player housing soon ™
(As an alliance player.) I am so happy we didn't lose Malfurion and the tauren become the aspect. He's so much more peaceful and respectful about it. Great character prologue. The Disney moment expansion for sure... but finally a good one in a lot of ways. It feels like a win for players.
I know Xavius is dead, but him turning from Malfurion to himself mid-kiss would have been such an epic troll move on Tyrande. After seeing what he did in Legion, it makes sense.
'In recognition of all you have done, we proclaim you champion of the dragonflights' Oh boy. We're a Champion of another thing. Champion of the Alliance. Champion of Azeroth. Champion of the Dragonflights. I swear if I have to hear the word 'Champion' one more time...
I want to love these cinematics, I really do. They are awesome. But I can't. I highlights a lot of things I disliked about recent WoW. Malfurion, one of the most powerful characters in the lore is just a non-entity. He had nothing to do with anything for such a long time, his death and now resurrection seems really pointless. The stalvart, strong but admittedly bullheaded and stubborn Genn Greymane becoming a Han Solo-like depressed old man who was a terrible father who was just afraid, neglectful is just shameful.
Still disappointed that Blizz didn't include the night elves to help reclaim Gilneas. I mean, they were the ones that helped to push back the Forsaken and gave them refuge in Teldressil, it only seemed right that they would want to help to retake the city. Genn could have extended a welcome to let any night elf refugees stay there until whatever happens with the new tree. But what do I know, Blizz don't care about story elements like that.
Im a big strong Horde player through and through but as someone who recently lost their parents , seeing Shandris all puppy eyed wanting a hug from hers broke me for a split second and i clapped

Seems like she’s just forgotten all of that for the sake of the Dragonflight plot, underwhelming in my opinion, she should be much more hesitant to turn on her brother whom she has been allied with since the Aspects creation, that’s a really long time to harbour hatred towards them, and what that’s now just gone? Yeah nah, once again blizzards good at lazy writing for the sake of the plot progressing.
7:03 dude’s just standing there bro why is it so funny 😂
Malfurion spent most of the last 10,000 years sleeping or finding some other reason to get away from Tyrande. Watch him fly to the Seat of the Pantheon to chill out with Illidan next
Me at the age of 5 waiting for my mom to finish talking to the guest so I can tell her I shitted my pants
I was fully expecting Gilneas to get nuked again, as pretty much every other Alliance city has been done so far. Color me shocked.
na Stormwind is up to be destroyed again i think.
A nuking might be what it takes to get the Exodar out of the ground. 🤔

The delusion that Alliance cities get treated worse than Horde cities is second in stupidity only to the brainlets who think Garrosh did nothing wrong
My god, this community is absolutely lousy with whiners
I've been signed off from WoW for years, but seeing Tyrande's little gasp before she started running had me tearing up. Such a well-animated scene
I'm happy Tyrande, Malfurion, Shandris finally get a moment to breath. Their reunion was touching and long overdo. Thank you Blizzard for giving them a happy ending in Dragonflight 💙
Yes one of the best cinematics so far in Dragonflight. This and Tess and daddy Genn in Gilneas are my faves so far.
tyrande and malfurion’s reunion with shandris was beautiful, i love how they hardly said a word to eachother
I burst out in laughter when I heard "I see you, father!" and laughed more when she talked about her father's pain, but turned it around to make it about herself. When she becomes a queen, will she speak of her people's pain and then say "But imagine how I feel! Think about how I feel!"
It's extremely obnoxious and I'm mad not enough people call this out

On both scenes in Gilneas and Bel'Ameth the way Tess and Shandris react to their parents love is beautifully done! But the love of Malfurion and Tyrande the way they show it on the cinematic it was ABSOLUTELY OVERWHELMING...especially for ppl who have or had something like that will feel it more...
Finally ... FInally the Family is back together again! As a nightelve player from the very first day this makes be beyond happy
I was hoping Genn would continue to rule, but alas, he cares about Anduin and can only be at one place at a time.
*I would have rather rule him over Gilneas than running after that weird boy Anduin.*
R.İ.P † İllidan
i miss sylvanas, now its just peace and flowers.
*Scarlet crusade is also not really a factor anymore aswell...such a shame Blizzard.*
Malfurion and Tyrande reminds me of the William Turner and Elizabeth Swan reunion. I was just waiting for that PoTC music to hit.
Did folks of Gilneas almost lose their British accent as they adjusted to Stormwind life?
Iridikron is building up to be such a good villain
And it sounds to me like they plan to keep him around for the big showdown in The Last Titan... a villain sticking around for 4 expansions. Think of the possibilities.
Anduin, Shandris, Tess... Gonna guess Dagrans gonna be the next one to step up?
Not yet, he's 14-15 nowadays and I dont think they will kill Muradin of all people to warrant Dagran ascending so soon.
Dagran rises from the crib and grows a full beard.

Kind of strange how most leaders in Warcraft are finding an heir in one way or another. One would think that the big figures would try to retain power.
many of them have been in power since the warcraft series alone tbh
it makes sense
For Genn, it makes sense for him to abdicate to his daughter. He’s getting up in years, and he can’t bring the change his people need and instead chooses to entrust it to the next generation (ie, Tess). As for Tyrande, she’s been ruling the night elves for ten thousand years. Even she will have to step down eventually.
btw Shandris is a Warcraft 3 character
A female heir.
Time has to mvoe on. Each and every age will raise new heroes and discard old ones. You must go and take your place... While I must step aside.
I am a relic of an older time. Where as you are a symbol of this new time.
thanks man for always keeping me up to date with the cinematics
Genn looks weird with the new look, not as grim or sad.
*Wow, that Gilnean part really reminded me of that one BFA cinematic, were Jaina's mother gave her the title of lord-admiral!* *For Gilneas! For Kul Tiras!*
Salty about the Gilneas getting returned while half of Silvermoon is still for the Sunwell deprived meanwhile the Sunwell is chugging along
Sunwell we see in the second expension of Worldsoul Saga!
From High Priestess and Arch Druid... To Home owners planning a Garden 😅😂🎉
Iridikron is right though. The titans infected azeorth, but the main issue with siding with the void, is can they be stopped one they do what he wants
I’ve seen people theorize that he is doing this because he knows the void will lose the fight, and hopes that the titans and us players will be weakened post void fight enough to take us on then.
Is he looking for control, or just rid of the titians
I doubt Iridikron thinks the Void will actually win. He's setting up the Void and the Titans to fight. And based on the hints they gave at Blizzcon it looks like the Titans will be revealed to not be the benevolent beings we expected.
We already knew the titans were possibly bad back in legion. Remember saragreas whole campaign was to wipe out all life to spare them from the void.
Prehaps.
Those moments involving Tyrande and Malfurion were beautiful. Shandris wanting to get in on the hug, but waiting for permission was adorable and heart warming.
Malfurion looks like he just respawend at the graveyard
My boy Malfurion!!!! He will save the day!
Lol that mother fucker got taken down by an undead. He ain't saving shit.
He is no Illidan, that's for sure. Illidan is the true leader
The writing is so much better than before! I'm so proud of the writers now doing justice and making compelling stories instead of one shot villain's who are relevant for one expansion and forgotten afterwards
Yeah the writing is better, though when they don't know what to do with some overpowered character (Malfurion) they simply put him out of camera.
Arthas will never be forgotten.
3:23 That's why I delved into roguecraft to make it even harder to notice me.
Wonder if Malfurion will do anything significant in Wow. He either sleeps or just being ignored by story writers.
*Blizz really do seem to hate night elves, especially Malfurion.*
they just dont know how to write so they choose to ignore them. its cringe
Agree with the other comments, but I read in comments around that Malfurion is basically too op to have around, so there's that
Malfurion and Tyrande are gonna animal planet for 10.000 years.
What has Ebonhorn been eating this entire patch? I recalled he was only 1/3 the size of Alexstrasza.
He off that Azeroth titan zaza fr fr
Guess that's due to the whole "Azeroth gave the Aspects their power back" thing, after defeating Fyrakk
Azeroth bless them, not the Titans, Alexstraza and Nozdomu being re-empowerd the power Titan give them, also Kalec got re-empower from Blue dragonflight 's Embrace ritual back then, Methira and Ebyssian got blessed as well as Vyranoth. Basically, their aspect power still have just their dragonflight stand for but they cut tie with the Titan somekind, they serve and protect Azeroth herself now
Nah its Blizzards way to show Alex is the Queen. She does all the talking as well. The rest just nod.
@@uclongnguyen8860 isn't Azeroth unborn titan thou XD
Malfurion objected to Tyrande adopting Shandris in the first place. That he welcomes her (finally) with open arms is him finally acknowledging that he was wrong to do so

I wasn't expecting the return of Malfurion and the kiss that followed. It was very moving, beautifully done and I must confess I filled up. Very well done Blizzard!
How were u not expecting that after ysera left/returned to ardenweald again? He simply was a placeholder for her literally until she would return and so did he.

Why did I cry when malfurion returned? Is this a Disney movie or is this just WoW?!

I legit cried when I saw Malfurion in game. So glad I did it on my druid too.
Why doesn't genn just go to shadowlands and see his son?
*Because Blizz probably forgot to include him in the Shadowlands expansion...small indie company, hehehe.*
All hail Queen Tessa Greymane, liberator of Gilnaes! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
Blizzard clearly doesn't know wtf to do with Malfurion and keep finding excuses to sideline him. He's too powerful and it doesn't make sense for him not to help during a world-ending calamity or be uninvolved in Nigh Elf affairs.
He's just such a wack character like Tyranda.
They're no Illidan.
they simply dont know how to deal with these characters so they choose to ignore them. its unbelievable how bad it is.

as a night elf, i feel like i can finally rest. what a beautiful questline. a magnificent epilogue. ❤
My night elf heart was happy and satisfied. Hope we revive Teldrassil on the future, I miss it and Darnassus.
Oh yeah it would have been epic if all this hadn't gone the way it did. I think we should give poor Tyrande's heart a rest. ❤❤
Good timing. Just what I needed to help me fall asleep.
Malfurion and Tyrande, best lovestory for the last 22 years
'In recognition of all you have done, we proclaim you champion of the dragonflights'
Oh boy. We're a Champion of another thing. Champion of the Alliance. Champion of Azeroth. Champion of the Dragonflights. I swear if I have to hear the word 'Champion' one more time...
With Tyrande nearby, there is always a garden.🤣
All I wanna know is: will this reopen areas possibly new faction cities? Gilneas, Gnomeregan, and Ruins of Lordaeron would be neat.
That's just Danusser doing what he does best. Crapping the stablished lore.
*Look how they treat strong male characters like Malfurion, Genn etc.....muh women empowerment really infested that small indie company.*
Dragonflight's turned out to become rather heartwarming, it seems.
Finally I found a wife for Anduin 😮
But will she stop him before her purges Stormwind?
Oh ok i wasnt expecting that kiss 😂.

I do hope there is room for a garden.... Said like a true druid... lol
